Resize transition issue in FB4/AIR
I am using a resize transition in a title window between two states. The first time the state is changed the resize transition doesn't seem to execute, but merely jumps to the new size. The issue I am experiencing is similar to this post - http://aralbalkan.com/2177. It is however, somewhat different as it is a title window and explicitWidth and explicitHeight are not available - thus that solution will not work. Each subsequent time I change states during the same session, the transition plays fine, it's just that first initial state change.
Any suggestions?

Safari ios7 issues on iPad Air - can't open new tabs or view other tabs.
The + sign just closes the app every single time!
In some cases, the back and forward buttons don't work.
It's driving me crazy becuase if the webpage I'm on opens and ad or tab that I don't want to look at, I can't close it and go back, I have to retype the web address in and find where I was on the site!I, too, tried all the fixes...nothing worked.
Found another thread on this forum and looks like a lot of us are having same problem.
Next time it happens, go to SETTINGS/GENERAL/ABOUT and check to see it there is a "low memory" incident report.

Precision Editor sometimes can't resize transition
Hi,
I'd just like to confirm whether this behavior I get trying to resize transitions inside the Precision Editor is a bug or just me.
I have a video to explain, although I don't zoom in to the mouse pointer or put titles in sorry - so you'll probably need to set it to 1080p.
But basically I go to the Precision editor (Ctrl-E) I can then immediately get "Trim Handles" to resize the transition.
If I then zoom in or out - I can never get the "Trim Handles" back again - even if I zoom back to where I was in the first place.
The transition is just this steel, no-hover zone.
For other transitions, the Precision Editor never shows the Trim Handles, even if I don't go zooming anywhere.
Is there any way this can make sense or is this a glitch?

Faults like this can often be fixed by clearing out FCP X's preferences (for some reason, they get knotted up from time to time).
Download Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager (free, simple to use, and quite safe).

With Pref Manager, you can backup the Prefs first, then if trashing makes no difference, you can restore all your settings.
If you trash them and don't restore them, you will need to go over all your FCP X settings again, so it's a great idea to backup Preferences from time to time when FCP X is working well, then you can ditch the bad prefs and restore from your (Digital Rebellion) backup.
Can't guarantee it, but It's worth a try.

My Telstra Air was activated yesterday, downloaded App, logged in using my bigpond username/password, Status: Not Connected, Hotspots: Not Available. Find Hotspots: shows up on map OK.

Issue with MacBook Air and nouveau
Hi.
I've installed Arch Linux on MacBook Air with Nvidia 320M videocard. Proprietary nvidia driver does not work at all and nouveau has video artefacts (photo attached because screenshot pictures haven't any problems): horizontal noisy black lines and wrong colors on the left two thirds of screen.

nvidiafb works fine, but it has no dri and has problems with suspend.
How to resolve this problem with nouveau? Is it crtc-related or not? Playing with xrandr does not have any effect (except resolution change).

In the end I deleted the printers WiFi connection and then turned around and set it up on my WiFi network all over again. My MBA now finds the printer every time. Okay ...so I don't actually know why it didn't work the first time, but it does now. Again, there was no apparent issue with either the HP printer or the MBA being connected to WiFi in the first place, but something different must have occurred in software/hardware the second time.

Problems animating combined move/resize transition
I'm trying to create an animated transition, and have run
into some strange issues. In the base state I have a bunch of
buttons in a Tile component. In a second state I decrease the
tileHeight and tileWidth values, and the width of the Tile itself
so it's only one column. That in itself works fine.
I'm then creating a transition for the state change that
animates move and resize operations on the buttons that the changes
to the Tile cause. If I animate *only* the move or resize, it works
great. If I animate the two together, only the resize animates,
while the move doesn't.
Any idea what's going on or - more importantly - how to get
around it? Code attached.What do you mean by auto-layout ?

Keyboard/Trackpad issues with MacBook Air (Late 2010)
My wife used one of those clorox wipes on her MacBook Air and now she is having issues with the keyboard and trackpad. The option, command and shift keys do not work correctly and the trackpad thinks every click is a two finger "command click" (even though I turned off right clicking in the system preferences).
Normally I would try a PRAM or SMC reset to fix it, but the buttons needed to start one (cmd + opt) aren't working.
I plugged in an external USB keyboard and all the buttons work correctly.
Any advice on how to get these issues resolved? Is it a hardware issue that needs to be addressed by a Genius? Is it possible a clean install of OS X could fix the issue?
The computer hasn't had any issues before this and there doesn't appear to be any battery swelling issuesI made a Genius bar appointment for tomorrow. When I got home last night I took a look at it again (I have a hard time leaving broken things alone...) and for whatever reason, the keyboard started working perfectly again. I managed to boot into safe mode via terminal but the issue persisted. When I booted back into standard mode, the keyboard was working great. This morning when I woke up, it was not working agian, but after rebooting it, it has been working correctly for the last hour.
At one point, I booted into Recovery and looked at the system.log. One error that caught my eye was:
Keyboard Layouts: duplicate keyboard layout identifier -16900.
Mar 7 05:54:10 localhost Unknown[355]: Keyboard Layouts: keyboard layout identifier -16900 has been replaced with -28674.
Any idea what this is, or if it could be causing eratic behavior?
The other odd thing is I cannot boot into any disgnostic modes using shortcut keys before booting. I'd like to reset PRAM, run AHT but none of those commands are working.
I still have my appointment tomorrow, but I'm thinking it is not a hardware issue (with the keyboard at least) since it does work correctly some of the time. -
Issue with Ciso AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 AP configuration
I have trouble accessing the internet from my laptop after installing Ciso AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 AP.
The AP are connetected to my router (which has a DHCP enabled) via a switch and each has a Fix IP address with network mask, gateway and DNS already configured. When I triy to connect to the access point, only the IP address and network mask are automatically assigned to the my laptop. and I have to manually input the gatway and DNS to be able to navigate the internet.
I would like to know which configuration will allow any node that tries to connect the internet via the access point to be automatically configured to access the internet after authentification.
I will appreciate any help in solving the issues.

IOS 8.1 WiFi issues on iPad Air

I wonder, if anyone else has the same issue as me:
If I don't use my iPad Air I turn the Fly Mode on. If I use it I turn it off and the iPad is connecting itself to my WiFi network. After some seconds the WiFi connection is interrupted and it taked some seconds to definitely connects itself again and finally to the WiFi network.
My iPhone 5s (iOS 8.1) or my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.10) do not have this issue.
Also my WiFi connection is good and stable. The issue appears since my iPad Air uses iOS 8.

I've had no success troubleshooting the problem I'm having with my iPad Air. Started after I updated the software to the new version . Once update was complete I encountered my screen looked funny with wiggly lines and then the screen turned blue. I tried to reboot it by holding down the home and the off at the same time but that only turned it off and then back on and the same thing happened all over again. Now my iPad air only continues to reboot when I turn it on. Is it possible for Apple or Mac products to get a virus? I'm hope someone has a solution to this problem I'd like to know if there's anyone else out there that's experiencing this issue with the iPad Air.This is not a virus. It sounds like it could be a hardware problem.
First, try resetting your device. Press and hold both the home button and the sleep/wake button for about 10 seconds, until the screen turns off. Ignore the slider that will appear. Release the buttons, then press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears. This is the equivalent of a reboot, and should not affect your data or apps.
If that doesn't help, try restoring your device from backups, and if that doesn't help, restore it to factory settings (ie, do not restore a backup). See:

If none of that helps, the issue is caused by some kind of hardware problem, and the device will need to be repaired or (more likely) replaced. -
Cp2025n color laserjet manual duplexing side two portrait & landscape transition issue
I regularly print the same documents. Each document has a portrait section, a landscape section, a portrait section then a landscape section, then a portrait section. I manually duplex the job (because I did not buy a duplexer and I am saving trees).
On the first side of the page, everything works great... job runs straight through the printer then I am prompted to insert the half printed pages into tray 1 and push OK on the printer. The first portrait section is printed. The printer stops on the first landscape page and prompts me to load paper into tray 1 (even though it is already there) and push OK again, I do so, and it proceeds till the job switches to portrait mode, prompts me to load paper into tray 1 (even though it is already there) and push OK again, I do so, and it proceeds till the job switches to landscape mode, etc... making me babysit the printer as it prints the second side of each job.
I have multiple different print jobs with the similar layout... portrait, landscape, portrait, landscape, and finishing with portrait. All of them behave the same. The number of pages in the portrait section and landscape section vary by job and within job. The prompt from the printer is always at the transition point between portrait & landscape mode. The printer only stops when printing side two of the page.
I believe I am running the most current drivers and software on my PC for the printer. The update task runs regularly and is not informing me that there is new software available. The only indication of what firmware is running on the printer is this info

This strikes me as a printer driver issue... Anybody got any other ideas? Anybody noticed this same issue? Can someone from HP test this out for themselves and verify there is a problem? I have tried searching the forums but every post I have found so far is not on point.

IMovie transitions issue with retina mac?
Does anyone have an issue with adding transitions in a video in iMovie on the 13" RETINA macbook pro? I have imported a .mov file and I can't put transitions between the video. iMovie starts to do this weird thing where it shortens the video and displaces the video on the timeline. Has anyone else encounter that?
