Resizing a LUN with the lastest Solaris 10 SPARC

1. I followed the doc ID 368840.1 to partition the disk use for ASM.
It looks like this:

2. I re-size the LUN from the storage array to 9GB using "0. Auto configure".

It looks like the new Solaris updates also change this behavior, but don't know what the new requirements are.

I would suggest changing the media you burned it on. That always seems to be the issue with things like this. Search the forums for suggestions on what works.

Drawning text/images in a JPanel and then resizing/moving it with the mouse

Hello ebverybody!
I need to be able to draw some text objects in a JPanel and then resize/move it with the mouse... How could I do that!? Same for some images loaded from jpg files...
Should I just paint the text and then repaint when the mouse selects it? How to do this selection?! Or should use something like a jLabel and then change it`s font metrics?!
I need to keep track of the upper left corner of the text/image, as well as the width/height of it. This will be recorded in a file.
The text/images need to smoothly move around the panel as the mouse drags when selectin an entity.. not just "click the entity, then click another point and the entity appears there as if by magic...":)
Please, tell the best way to do that!

I know what you mean! This happened to me as well!
And one thing that I found useful is, if you want to directly select a layer without selecting from the layers pallete and without having autoselect enabled, just hold Ctrl and click on in directly in the image. This saved me a lot of time!

Attach DMS file to EQ with the lastest version

Hi,
We are implementing DMS,
Q1, when I create document 'TEST1' using CV01N with initial version 00, then I attached this document to an EQ. then I update the document TEST1 and save as a new version 01. since the EQ has the attachment of TEST1 version 00, now if the user view the doc, they will see the old version 00 not 01.
My question is ... is there a way to always show the lastest version of the doc. without have to go and make the adjustment in EQ master ?
Q2, do you know if there's any documentation or book that I can read up on how the DMS works ? I took DMS class about 3 yrs ago and forgot most of the information
Q3, I'm also looking to use EDMS as I think it's user friendly for our users. I have downloaded EDMS to my laptop and in the process of testing it. Do you know if there's any documentation of have it works ?

Hi Sam,
regarding your questions I can provide you the following input and hope that it could be useful:
1. Display of latest version
In case that you are creating a new version you have to made sure that the link to the EQ is taken over to version 01. This can be maintained in the customizing of transaction DC10 for each document type under 'Define object links'. Here you can see and select the EQUI object. In its detail view you will find the field 'when new version'. Here you can define if the links are copied automaticall or after user confirmation or never to the new version 01.
If the link is handed over to the new version then I would recommend you to set the value '1' in field 'Document version' in the same customizing screen in DC10 as before. This value will grant that from object side always the current versions are displayed first. This means if there is version 00 and version 01 then the latest version '01' only will be displayed in the links.

For further control of the link display on object side you can only use BADI DOCUMENT_OBJ1.
2. Documentation on DMS
Generally you will find all necessary information on DMS behavior in the SAP online documentation under http://help.sap.com under area 'Cross-Application-Components'.
Regarding a book I can offer you the SAP press book for PLM. Because DMS is part of the PLM module and in this book you will find also chapters about the DMS functionalities.
3. EasyDMS documentation
As you have installed EasyDMS on your laptop you should be able to find the documentation or help files under the installation directory of EasyDMS.

Resizing and Turning with the Scale Tool

I don't know if this is a stupid question or not, since I
already use FW for three years now but still haven't seen such
option. My problem is that, when I use the "Scale" Tool to change
the size of a image, if the image is too small, or something like a
sprite, the resized image gets all blurry, and that's not what I
want.
For example, I'm trying to resize or even turn a sprite
sheet, but when I do, it'll get all blurry and I need it to stay
the same way it was before, even if the pixels would be insanely
large with the new size, I would like the image to still the same.
Is it possible? And if it's not, any comments on a good program
that can do so? Besides MSPaint (and PS, if possible)? Thanks for

If you're going to scale or rotate a sprite type object,
you'll want to use Nearest Neighbor Interpolation.
You scale an image like this in two ways:
1. Modify > Canvas > Image Size and choose Nearest
Neighbor in the drop down, or
2. Edit > Preferences to have the scale tool use this
interpolation method.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE LASTEST MAY UPDATE??

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE LATEST UPDATE?? Ever since the May update for the Samsung Note 3 I've been having issues with my phone! Battery charge does not hold, it charges slow and then drains VERY fast. I can't even make it through the day without charging. Today it went from 100% to 37% in a few hours just sitting on my desk! Also, having camera issues, I snap a picture and it takes so long to process that it doesn't take the picture I was aiming at but a blurred image of the area around my focal point! Also, since the update I keep getting the message "touch wiz has stopped" when I press the navi key. Are this issues being corrected? Is Samsung or Verizon fixing these issues. When will the next update come out? The only suggestion I'm hearing is to reset the phone, but I'd lose settings, apps, etc. That is NOT a solution!! I'm very frustrated, and angry. This phone is way too expensive to have to deal with these issues!

Advancing the os (solaris,sparc) clock with 10.2.0.2

What would be the ramifications if we advance the system oclock on solaris os with 10.2.0.2? Do some testing on the database and then set back the time to current time. Are there any gotcha when the time is set back to the current time? What about the backup with rman, maybe the scn might be screw up? Thank you.

If you advance the time forward, and then back it up again, from the database's point of view, some times will occur twice. That is, a given time may map to two different SCNs.
This is not necessarily a problem, in and of itself. But, if you suffer a failure, and you need to do a recovery, and the recovery is to a point in time, and that point in time that you're recovering to is in the timeframe that was duplicated, and the time that you want to recover to is the second occurrence of that time, then you can't do an 'until time' recovery. You'll have to translate that to an appropriate SCN and do an 'until scn' recovery.
So, unless you're very, very unlucky, there should not be a problem.

I can't resize new rectangles with the new Illustrator 2014

I know from reading other boards that there are related issues with snapping to grid but I'm having an issue only with resizing rectangles when I create them new. We have others in our company using Creative Cloud that have updated and they are not having the same issue I am having.
Basically when I create any new rectangle, or rounded corner rectangle it is a fixed size and I am not given the handles to resize it. I have to select the object then go to Object > Shape > Expand Rectangle in order to get the corners to grab and reshape or resize. I have checked and unchecked all of the settings that I can see or read about and nothing changes this. It's a real pain to have to go through this with every object I create.
I have also tried rebooting the software and my computer several times but it's still the same.
Am I just missing some small setting somewhere?

With the lastest updates to foxfire, so It does not run slow or crash, why do I still have foxfire run from normal to slow, then freeze up and have either to reboot or click Ctrl w and to clear everything and re click foxfire to reload.

Foxfire browser runs normal for a couple of days, then starts freezing up, where I cannot scroll with mouse or click in especially on facebook and fabulis.com. I have to either Reboot somputer or push ctrlw to clear the screen to desktop, then refresh desktop page and then click firefox icon to get back to where I was and continue on.

Ever since I did the last software update on my iPhone 5s my time has been incorrect. I've found temporary fixes by turning my phone off and then back on but I always have the same problem about an hour later...

Unsatisfied with the lastest 6680

Yesterday I purchased the new 6680. I found out that when I try and view my contacts in the contacts list I can only see them by Last Name, The view list by First Name does not seem possible. I rang the Nokia Helpline and they indeed confirm that this is the case. Outrageous!!! Who designs a phone without this function. Even the basic Nokia's have this function. What are the Nokia designers Thinking???? I am extremely dissapointed.

I do you resize an object with the same center? It not difficult in Mac, just Control+May...but it is not the same combination for the PC.

Not sure if you are looking for the keyboard shortcuts for sizing (you'll find lists of all the defaults in the help files) or if you want to know how to make sure the effect works from the center.
Unlike Quark, InDesign lets you decide what control point should be fixed by selecting one of the nine spots in the "Reference Point" proxy in the upper left corner of the Transform Panel or the Control Panel in transform mode. Those spots correspond to the sizing handles on the object's bounding box, and the center.
To scale from the center, make sure the center spot is selected.

Solaris Sparc 10, Firefox 3.6, Java v6 update 18 plugin not working

The java plugin (v6 update 18) for Firefox 3.6 on Solaris Sparc 10 is not working for me.

Obviously Sun (excuse me, Oracle) does not intend to support the solaris-10/sparc/firefox-3.6 combination. Firefox 3.6 requires the NPAPI and/or NPRuntime interfaces to java, but oracle does not provide the new "libnpjp2.so" java plugin with the jre-6u18-sparc-solaris java download.
A search at www.oracle.com does not turn up any support announcement about this. You have to learn it the hard way. :(
If you want to continue to use sparc-solaris, downgrade to firefox-3.5 so you can use the old libjavaplugin_oji.so module. Otherwise run Linux or Mac OS X to stay in the unix camp.
