Resizing every page of a large iWeb website

I've got a website built in iWeb with well over 100 distinct pages, each auto-formatted as 700 pixels wide. I'm now trying to reset every page to 750 pixels.... anybody know of a quick way to reformat every page to the new size, without having to manually reassign each page with the Inspector?

My web page at 100% is too big for my screen, at 75% it's kinda hard to read. Can I get it to like 85% and keep it there permatly. Now I have to take time to change it on every page! Thanks.

Which add-on did you install that shows you the percentage for page zoom?
The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox and there's no display of zoom %.

Adding downloadable PDFs to iWeb website

How do I add multi-page PDFs to an iWeb website such that the PDFs can be downloaded from the website?

Neil ~ PDF viewers offer a download button and other features such as full-screen mode... Start a free web-based blog at Posterous:

Then simply email your PDFs to your Posterous blog and they'll be automatically posted to Scribd and embedded into your Posterous blog — here's an example:

Then, in iWeb, set up various text or image hyperlinks to the Posterous blog entries containing your PDFs. By the way, Scribd allows PDFs to be embedded directly into your iWeb site, but you may find it easier to use Posterous.

Iweb URL is the same for every page

I have a small website built on iweb with a personal domain name, www.westonbennett.com and if you click on any of my pages the url doesn't change and is still www.westonbennett.com and I would like it to be a unique url for every page. Can anyone help me out?

What you did is webforward with cloaking/masking whose result is giving the same url for all pages.
What you should do to get yourdomain.com/sitename/pagename.html instead is change the CNAME

Can I convert my old 35 page IWeb website to IWeb 09?

I currently have a 35 page website that I created in the old IWeb. I want to update to OSX panther and
I Web09. Will there be any issues opening the old website and working with it in 09?

There shouldn't but be sure to keep a backup of the 08 domain file before you open it for the first time with iWeb 09.
You mean upgrade to Leopard, right? I'd run Disk Utility and repair disk permissions first followed by a verify of the disk. If repairs are indicated boot into the leopard install disk and run Disk Utility to repair the disk from the Utilities menu in the first window after the language selection window.
Install Leopard and then run the 10.5.6 COMBO updater. You can get it from the Apple Downloads page. I find it safer to download and run the necessary updaters manually.
If you want to keep iWeb 08 available just in case make a copy of the application and name it iWeb 08. Then the iLife 09 installer will update the plain iWeb application and leave that one untouched.
There have been issues with the red site and page icons making it necessary to publish every page each time you make a change to just one page. I've gotten around that by creating a new site for each page of my family site (currently have 79) so that I only have one site (usually consisting of only one page- a photo page) to edit and upload each time. This keeps the domain file size down.
You can link to a another iWeb site in the navbar by creating a blank page with the name of the other site and adding the following code to an HTML snippet on that blank page:

This will immediately redirect the visitor to the other site. A return button can be put on the other site's page (I turn off the navbar in those sites which act as individual pages) so it appears like part of one big site.
If you're interested in that approach this is how I split up my original multi site domain file. You would first create a new site and drag page 1 to it. Then create a new site and drag page 2 to it. Again keep a backup of your original domain file.
I use iWebSites to manage over 40 individual sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process and move it to another location on your HD until you're satisfied the separation process is completed and what you want.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

How to produce a list of URLs and page numbers from large website pdf file.

Adobe Acrobat Pro version 10.1.4.
I created a pdf file from an entire website which has 1062 pages.
I was asked to produce a list of pages which should be updated or deleted.
There is a URL on every page.
What is the best way to mark the pages for update/deletion?
Is there a way to automatically produce/export a list of a all URLs of these pages including page numbers and "feature" update/delete? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply. I refer to the page numbers visible under the pages when you click on in the icon "Page Thumbnails" on the top left side. The page numbers do not appear on the pages themselves.
When saving the entire website bookmarks were created automatically as as well as the URL put on the left botton side of the respective page. They have always the same syntax like this: http://egr.istat.it/?q=node/285[06/062013 17:54:35]

Iweb pages gone after reinstall-but websites OK

I had to reinstall the OS fresh and it was backed up. However the only thing I lost was the iweb websites in the program. If I log into .mac account, the websites are still there and I can navigate to them on the web. So they are there and working properly.
Now I need to add some photos to these websites that I don't see in iWeb any longer. How do I do that? Can I export these pages into iweb? Can I download something from my .mac account?
What do I do? My wife is going to kill me!!!! Help. please!!

iWeb stores all of the files, images, movies and text in one package file.
Since you didn't back up the User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2 file (a package) your online files can't be edited and you must recreate them.

WHAT UP? iWeb password required on every page??

I've been building a password protected iweb site for 2 months. I've been able to publish then check my pages by only entering my password for the welcome page. As of tonight I'm being asked to enter my name and password for every page I open (using Safari). This is nuts!! I have no media that's on the pages. How do I keep my site password protected and get rid of this stupid page by page prompt?? I don't want to save my password during construction because I want to see what users will get bombarded with. HELP!!!

I'm having the same problem: starting this morning my .mac iWeb site repeatedly asks for a password for the pages I try to access. Many times it will not accept the password even though it is correct. This is the first time I've had this problem, even though I've been building a password-protected site for several months now. Also, another symptom of something wrong with .mac (or the new update for Safari, perhaps?) is the pages on my site are frequently loaded incorrectly, with elements missing (replaced by question marks). In the Activity Window it gives "Can't find host" as the reason. The problem seems to be with Apple's servers, since I'm having the same problem with all my computers.

how do I create a link to any page in my (iWeb) website, that is not the 1st page?

To link to any page within my site, I just navigate to that site and copy the URL

If you are using masked forwarding so that all your pages show up as the same URL, then you need to right click on the page you want to link to and choose Open Frame in New Window. Then, take the URL that appears in the address bar of that new window and use that.

My iWeb always publish every pages... Why ?

I made a second iWeb site recently, and it appears that everytime i publish on .Mac, it takes very long time; when I look at the files that are uploaded to .Mac Servers, I see every single file of my two sites, even the unmodified pages !!
I'm pretty convinced that it is not the normal way of publishing for iWeb...
I thought that "blue pages" , that means unmodified pages, was not uploaded, but only the red pages (modified pages).
Does someone have the same problem ?
What can I do to speed up my iWeb publishing ?

I am having the same problem and as someone who has made a living designing and updating pages Apple's way of "managing" web publishing is obtuse at best.
I currently have three "sites" in my iWeb site organizer. If I simply want to make a single web page with a movie on it for my friends to view, I create a new site, make the movie page, and then try and publish this page (as iWeb sees it a "site") to a folder it publishes every page of every other site to that folder. This does not change when you hold down the option key.
I am either missing something or Apple is a bit daft in its grasp of how people might find use for their web page software. I like the templates and ease with which you can integrate of all your Mac generated media - but I do not see a simple solution for making a "one off" page.

When Subscribing to my Newsletter through my IWeb website, one is entered in EVERY Category; how can I change that!? It's a convenient feature, to just pass out my biz card, and get newsletter subscribers. But they don't seem to be able to choose categories; I always get notifications that they have been subscribed to every category (including ones that don't appear as options when they subscribe through the newsletter server). HELP??
