Resizing labview window that has been converted

I just would if it is possible to resize a labview window once it has been converted to a different version. I have labview 7.1 and converted to 6.1 and I am trying to resize the window but it doesn't let me. Is there another way around this?

You should be able to resize any vi even though it has been converted.  Go to the File Menu and select VI Properties.  Then select Window Size in the Catagory box.  Make sure that zeros are entered for the Minimum Panel Size, and that the "Set the Front Panel to the width and height of the entire screen" checkbox is unchecked.

  • I do not get a readable or editable PDF file that has been converted to Microsoft Word.

In the past I have been able to convert PDF files to MicroSoft Word, and Edit and Save the Documents. Now, the converted files are unreadable and uneditable. How do I correct this problem?

    Thanks for the email, Stacy!
I don't have an old PDF file that I converted to MicroSoft Word, however the new file that I am trying to convert and edit is the same kind of file that I've converted and edited before; An Invoice from the same Company. Is there a possibility that a download, MicroSoft Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office System, onto MicroSoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 computer might be causing the problem? Should I download to (.doc) or (.docx)? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,

    Hi Joseph,
    I'd like to assist!
Have you tried converting one of your old PDF's that have worked in the past to see if it still works?
Are these files scanned to PDF files?
You may want to try utilizing the OCR solution.
Let me know if that works.
Looking forward to hearing back from you!
    Kind regards, Stacy

How do I open a Numbers file sent to me that has been converted to Excel?  I already have MS office for Mac, but nothing comes up when I click on the imported file.

If it indeed has been converted from Numbers to Excel, it will have a .xlsx suffix at the end of the name. Do a Get Info on the file if the suffix doesn't show. Else, it may still be in Numbers format and be unreadable by Excel.
If it is in the right format, and you don't want to have to do what mende1 has instructed above for every successive file, click on the "Always open with..." option. That will associate the .xlsx suffix to Excel from thereon.

I am having trouble with Itunes registering the MP4 video that has been converted.  Help!

What do you mean by iTunes registering the mp4?
Which iTunes, on iPad, iTunes is a Store and it won't take your .mp4.
On pc, check if it supports the mp4 (there are a number of different mp4 format) you have converted.
Can you import it to computer iTunes?

  • How do I reformat an IPod Touch for Windows that has been formatted for a Mac?  All instructions I have been able to find use ITunes or Device Manager to reformat.  My IPod is not being recognized by ITunes or in Device Manager.

I have an IPod Touch that has been formatted for a Mac.  All instructions I have been able to find use ITunes or Device Manager to reformat the device for Windows.  This cannot be done if Windows doesn't recognize the device.  Is there another way to set the device back to the factory settings directly on the device without using ITunes?

Ipod touch is not formatted one way or the other at all.
Just sync it to the new computer using itunes.

  • I can not open a file that has been converted from a PDF to a .doc.  I have a one year subscription to PDF Pack.

I click on the tool to convert my pdf file to a .doc file.  When the program writes it is finished and I can down load the document, I do so.  Even though the converted file is listed as a .doc or docx, neither Microsoft Word nor OpenOffice can open it.  What is going wrong?
I also click to be able to edit my pdf document, but no commands to edit it come up.  Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi ktewksbu,
I don't think you're doing anything wrong. What is the file size of the converted document (and the filename extension)? Do you have the same issue with any file that you try to convert? Or is the problem specific to one file?
As for editing a PDF file, that requires Acrobat. (Adobe Reader lets you comment on a PDF, but  not alter its content).
    Best,
    Sara

    Hello kairle,
if I understand you in the right way you made a YourName.doc from a YourName.pdf file.
Therefore you need to open and edit the contents of this file text editors such as WORD itself, Notepad, WordPad or similar.

I need to add a secondary hard drive to my time capsule. Can something that has been set up for a windows machine work without re-formatting?

In addition to Niel's comments, if you plan to use Time Machine to backup a Mac to the secondary drive.....that application needs a drive that has been specifically formattted for Mac.  That would be Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
PCs can also read and write to the Mac formatted drive.

  • Can I backup to an external hard drive that has been formatted with windows?

Hi, I am fairly new to mac.  I was wondering if I can backup my mac book pro using time machine to an external hard drive that has been formatted with windows.  Time machine is saying it must erase to the hard drive in order to do a backup? Please help.

No it has to be formatted for OS X. Mac Extended (Journaled).

  • Restoring an app that has been hidden by Show Desktop in Windows 7

Does anyone know if a way to restore/unhide an AIR app that has been hidden by the Show Desktop command in Wndows 7? I used AutoHotKey to remap the Windows-D shortcut but it still does not capture the Show Desktop button in the Taskbar. I thought if there was a way that an AIR app could know that it had been hidden and restore itself I could use a Timer or create an eventListener to handle it.
I am trying to replicate the old Active Desktop of XP and the goal is to make sure that the app remains on the desktop at all times. This is the last hurtle!

  • Closing XML node that has been queried closes (crashes?) LabVIEW

Can someone confirm this observation with closing an XML node that has been searched with the XPath expression of "/" only?  This can be reproduced with the shipped XML example "Query XML Document for a Single Node.vi".  Change the XPath expression to just the forward slash and notice that LabVIEW will close (or crash?) when the VI is executed.
    Thanks

It doesn't crash until the origional node is closed.  In the example pic it is not unitl it reaches the last "close" does it crash.  I also gets a valid node from the search.  Also, the /* doesn't crash it but the Result XML is not the same.
I am attempting to teach myself some stuff on XML and XPath expressions and according to WC3:
/ selects the document root (which is always the parent of the document element)
Anyway, I don't ever plan on using / as a standalone search element but wasn't expecting the crash...
P.S. & FYI my overall purpose is to parse out data from XML files generated by TestStand.  I need to mine some data...

  • How to get PDF file that has been transformed into docx into my filing system so I can work on it???

How can I get the PDF file that was transformed into a docx file into my filing system to be able to work on it and translate it as the customer requested?

    THanks for your reply.
Well what happens is I bought the program. It gives you a button to click,
you log in and then a box opens up asking you to select the file, I go into
my filing system (in Windows explorer) select the file, and the program
converts it into docx, my choice.  I can read it there and when I try to
copy and paste it into my file where the PDF version is saved, it behaves
like an "image", and I can't save it.... or it saves likes something you
save on the internet, so you have to go into internet every time you want
to see it.    I have also pressed any amount of buttons to see if it will
give me the option to save it any other way, and have found nothing.  What
I would need is a file in docx.format that I can edit.  People send me
things in PDF and sometimes I can just copy it off the PDF file and save it
in WOrd, then I can translate it for them. But sometimes the PDF file
doesnt allow me to copy the text.  If it is in image form, I cannot work on
it.  It means printing it, so I can copy type it into Word... and for that
I certainly wouldnt need to buy a program.  Its just double the work and
ends up that the job takes twice as long.!
Sorry  if I am a bit dumb with informatics.  But I simply could not find
any way whatever to  copy the PDF file that was transformed into Word, in a
format that would enable me to edit it.
    Kindest regards,
    Margery

  • Faxing a Crystal Report that has been exported to a PDF

Hi. I am having a problem trying to fax a Crystal Report that has been exported to a PDF. I am using Windows XP Pro SP3, VB.Net 2008 and the Crystal Reports that came with it. The report exports to a PDF with no problem.  Generally, I can fax a document by putting <TOFAXNUM:12481234567><NOCOVER><DELETE><FINE> at the beginning of a document and send it to my fax printer.  The fax printer requires the <embedded code> to be in a printer font rather than a true type font. I put the embedded code as a report header on the report using Courier font, but it has a problem when it converts my font. I'm pretty sure the problem has to do with converting my font before it sends it to the printer.  Is there a solution in Crystal Reports to convert the font to printer font?

I am using Table Adapters to filter my data from multiple Sql tables and processing the data using VB.net 2008. Once I have the data, I write it to temporary tables which are the data source for my Crystal Report. The Sql queries are not part of the Crystal Report designer. Within the VB.net , I export the report to a stream in PDF format. The VB.net code is done. I'm looking for a way to fax the report without having to re write my entire code. I don't think the report can be exported thru the designer the way I have my data sources set up.
