Resizing multiple photos

I use the Preview facility to resize photos quite often, but is there any way to resize a multiple file selection in one go ?

actually using automator for this is exceeding simple. start automator and make a workfolow consisting of two actions
1. get selected finder items
2. scale images.
that's it. select images in finder and run the workflow. you can set the scale images action to scale by pixels or by percentages. you can also check the box in options to show this action when you run the workflow. this way you'll always be prompted to choose how you want to scale any time you run the flow.

I am trying to resize multiple photos by using the batch option.  I have created an action and then go into batch and select that action.  It's not working.  Anybody have any ideas on how I can resize my photos all at once??

It sounds as if the Action is not correctly recorded. Have you tested it on a single image?
Is there a Stop" in it?
You can always use the one-step convenience of the Image Processor!

  • Resizing Multiple Photos Automatically

Is there an automatic method of resizing photos through Photoshop CS3 or any other CS3 programs?  Our camera takes very large photos, which is good for print materials, but not so good for online content.  Is there a simpler method of resizing and lowering the resolution of images instead of opening individual files via Photoshop 75 times.
    Thanks!

  • Resizing multiple photos in elements 9

    Hello,
I am very new to photoshop elements and I am trying to put together a church directory. The program I am using is requiring all images be resized to 2x2.5. I have had the marketing dept. from the company type into my computer and they were only able to change the size to 2x3 witch will not upload to the software.
    Any suggestions?

what if I know the aspect ratio is supposed to be 0.8 is there anywhere I can enter that and have it automatically
    resize them?

  • Multiple photo processing

    Anyone please,
How can I resize multiple photos at once instead of one at a time using Photoshop 9?

You probably want to use File>Process Multiple Files in the photoshop elements 9 editor.

  • Select multiple photos in Mail

I recently upgraded to Mavericks. Now, when I have a Mail (ver. 7.3) message with multiple photos, I can only seem to select one photo at a time. I used to be able to Command-Click to select as many as I wanted, and easily drag them into another email or file. Is there some other way of doing this? Also command-a and command-shift don't help any more for selection, like they do in most other Apple apps.

    timmilner:
Make sure they have an extension on the files. You can do this by Right-clicking (Control-clicking) on the photo in the email and selecting the contextual menu option "View as icon". This will show the file name and size and show the default application, i.e. Preview or Photoshop, etc. This will give you some idea as to what's going out.
If you add the photos to the email via the Finder, resize them at the bottom of the email window, you can go to the Edit->Attachments menu and select "Send Windows friendly attachments". Just another way to send attachments.

  • Elements 3.0, select multiple photos to process

In Elements 3.0 is there a way to select multiple photos that are open and then resize them to the same size, for example, or adjust the brightness on all the the photos at once? Thanks.

Try the "File Browser" in the Editor.  I'm pretty sure you can batch resize;  I'm not sure about adjusting the brightness.

  • Printing multiple photos without border

This forum itself illustrates something is wrong. There is no category or listing for 'Printing'.
I want to print multiple photos on a single vertical A4 sized page, without borders.
I can't do that easily. I have done it before, but keep forgetting the work-around that I had to develop each time I've done it.
I want to resize the photos to get them on the page.
I can't do that easily. I have done it before, but keep forgetting the work-around that I had to develop each time I've done it.
In older versions of iPhoto, there were several options for printing, including something called 'N-up'. Click on that, and select how many photos per page, and then print.
This version of iPhoto has no such option. It is very very very difficult to print six or four or nine or eight or even two large photos on a single vertical A4 page, and there is no excuse for that. I can get something that with Simple Border or Contact Sheet, but most of the page is empty white wasted space.
How can I resize the photos to get several on a Simple Border layout? Why is this so very difficult to do?
    Frustrated, Isshi.

    Never mind.

  • If I open a photo in "preview", multiple photos open. I just want to open one, but can't figure out how to do it.

I keep multiple photos in a desktop folder to be quickly accessed by using Preview. But when I try to open ONE photo, it opens multiple photos. Can't figure out how to display just the single one that I select.  OS 10.7.2

This is the resume feature of Lion. The last state of the application is saved when quitting (i.e last pictures viewed in Preview, last videos viewed in Quicktime etc).
You can switch it off for Preview by copy and pasting the following in to the terminal application
defaults write com.apple.Preview NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false

  • Can't email multiple photos

i received my new iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1 about a week Or two ago, and it's workjng great. Today I tried to email my mom about 4 pictures from the camera roll/photo album As I always have. unfortunately, after I clicked the mail icon, I was taken to the "add account" screen. If I try to add my gmail account, or even my hotma accont, it tells me the account is already set up.
Some some steps ive tried are: resetting network setting, resetting ALL settings, deleting all accounts, resetting phone and adding the accounts back in. My gmail account is set as the default mail account, I can send and receive fine. If I click the "more" button from within an email, I can add a single photo just fine. My email send and receives fine.
Anyome have any idea how to fix this? certainly not a huge problem, but annoying nonetheless.

tthough I had tried this before, I attempted it again when prompted. It setup my hotmail account fine, but instead of taking me to the email with attachments, it leaves me in the settings screen. When I go back and try to send them again from the camera roll, it briefly said "preparing" then went right back to the "add account" screen.
YEs, sending multiple photos through iMessage or SMS works fine, as does every other option other than email.

  • HT201317 how can I add multiple photos to camera roll

how can I add multiple photos to camera roll

If you mean from photo stream, open your photo stream album on your phone in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos to select them, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

  • Emailing multiple photos from camera roll

Search threads but didn't find. Can multiple photos from camera roll be sent in an email on the iPhone 4

    In round about way yes.
    Go to photos.
In thumbnail view click menu item (think moved to top right in iOS4) to enable multiselect.
Select photos (up to 5 ... sorta) and then you can click share.
The sorta part is that if you do more than 5 the share will go away, but you can still select more, then choose copy, then go open email and paste in more than 5.

  • Print multiple photos on 1 sheet

I am trying to print 4 photos on a single 5x7 photo sheet. Print Package seems to be totally unusable.
I select 3 photos and can't position them on the screen
I select a 4th photo and it positions it on a 2nd sheet
I can't resize a photo by clicking the image and adjusting the size (like most other windows packages)
If I move a photo it seems to change format from landscape to portrait
I set Printer settings to 5x7 Glossy but whatever option I chose in 'Select a Layout' gives me a message saying The layout selected is larger than paper size - eventhough they're both set to 5x7.
If I select a photo and try and move it, it just duplicates the image somewhere else on the print page - and doesn't let me delete it or undo
I have selected 5x7 paper size and Layout 5x7 (4) but the review screen still doesn't show 4 photos positioned logically.
This task should take 5 minutes - I am now quitting after nearly 2 hours - which included reading many community issues of people trying to do this simple task and clearly having the same problems I have.

    davespics wrote:
This seems like a flaw in the program.  In a good tool you could just print the four 5x7's and not have to mess with this garbage.  Are you listening Adobe?????
I really don't like to see this thread degenerate into an exercise in polemics. PSE has a picture package layout, but the default is limited. However, it is relatively easy to tailor additional layouts to one's needs. You will find instructions in this thread:

  • Scan in mutiple photos in one file, can I crop multiple photos...

    at same time?
I don't know how to scan multiple photos as distinct file. I scan 5-6 pics it comes out at one file that I import into iPhoto. While it's very easy to crop each photo out of the file, I have to import the file as many times as there are photos
    to crop.
I hope I've been clear. Is there a smarter way to work. I don't see a way to scan
the 5-6 pics as different files in my scanner software.
    Thanks

    Joshua:
Vuescan is a 3rd party scanning application which can do batch scanning but is a little more difficult to set up. It works with most scanners.
If you have a Canon scanner you can scan in multiple photos at one time and have the scanner software crop, not as close as I'd like, each one individually and present to you in the editor of your choice or the one that comes with it.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
