Resizing pictures in mail

I recently upgraded to a macbook pro running mountain lion.
On my old computer with tiger and Mail Version 2.1.3 I could resize picture attachments directly from the mail window. Can I do the same with Mail verion 6.2?

Yes look at the right hand side of the new mail message

  • Pb when resizing pictures in Mail

When I attach & resize a picture in size either "Small", "Medium" or "Largeé, Mail always create a micro picture (circa 20kb - same size for "Small", "Medium" or "LArge" in the bottom right menu). This happens wherevere the picture is coming from: a file, iPhoto or Aperture.
The only way to attach a proper pictire is to stick to the orginal image size.
Itused to work properly in the past. Don't remember when the pb apeared for the first time (it is not new however).
Any help would be very much appreciated. Otherwise that resize function in Mail is pretty useless)
    Thanks

I had this problem in Mail Version 6.5 (1508).  I was trying to attach a 2519x2019pixels file that was set a 600dpi.
I resized the file to 998x800 and set the dpi to 72.  When I attached the new file Mail was able toresize it as it is supposed to do. My guess is the dpi setting was confusing Mail. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  • Unable to send pictures with mail from iPhoto

Since yesterday i cannot use iPhoto to send pictures with mail, it just does not open a new mesage in mail. can you help me please? have done cleaning tasks and repeired permissions already. thank you.

    Does anything happen?
Have you deleted the iPhoto Preference file - A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help

  • Resolution/Size of Pictures in Mail

Hi! I am a new Mac user, so if this question has been answered before or appears "dumb" please excuse the learning curve from a former PC owner.
I was wondering if anyone knew what resolution/picture size mail uses when you attach a picture to an outgoing email. When I use mail and change the picture size in the lower right hand corner, what size does mail change the picture to? For example, is medium 640 x 480?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi.
    The Sizes are:
    Large 1290x960
    Medium 640x480
    Small 320x240
If the size of the picture you attach is in between of any of those sizes, the larger one (or ones) will be dimmed.
Also, if you email a picture from iPhoto, you have one more option: full size (the size your camera suports).
    Good Luck.

  • Abobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 resizing pictures?

Abobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 resizing pictures?
I just rencently got Photoshop Elements 5.0 and I have Windows XP service pack 2 and I read the help and did some things. I need to make some pictures smaller or bigger so the people I want in my banner look aroung the same size. When I try to resize the image it resiazes everything or I use the square tool and try to resize it my self but the pictures becomes out of shape. Also if I dont need all of my canvas that I created when I try to crop it t makes the pictures cut off. IS there a way to just get rid of the bottom od the canvas that I didn't do anything with? Here is a banner I made using photoshop and see the girls head is bigger cause I don't know how to resize it. http://i12.tinypic.com/2mcy245.jpg... I went to paint to cut off the extra canvas that was in the picture. I had used The Gimp before I used photoshop and with Gimp I knew how to resize pictures to place on another picture.
    Additional Details
the crt + t makes my picture look bad. I guess I have to reseize myt pictures in gimp to make anything then.

while in the Transform tool, tick ON the "Constrain Proportions" tickbox at the top. then when you move a handle, the image will resize poprtionaltely instead of distorting.

  • Resize pictures on pavilion windows 8.1

Can't seem to resize pictures I want to use as Desktop or Lock Screen pics.  They come across as too huge for the display, and are cut off no matter what I change the graphics to.
Any suggestions on how to get NORMAL looking pictures on my laptop?  Why doesn't it just adjust the pic when I choose it for the display?

    Hi,
You can "Fill", "Fit" .... as shown:
    Please
    (a) right click a blank space on desktop,
    (b) Select Personalize,
    (c) Click Desktop background to select image
    (d) Use one of above options
    (e) Click Apply/Ok/Change .

  • Where is the image attachment resize function in Mail?

I have not been able to find an answer to where the resize function in Mail on SnowLeopard has gone in MountainLion. Which I just updated to, skipping Lion.
    thank you for your time.

  • Updated to ios7 how do I resize picture for my wallpaper

Can some one tell me how I resize picture for wallpaper.
Once picture is in place it won't let me move am

    On what iDevice?

  • IOS 7 - Does not allow to resize picture

IOS 7 - Does not allow to resize picture to its original size when setting the picture as a wallpaper.    Please test and verify software before release.  This seems like a pretty silly mistake.  Fix this wallpaper resize issue and release new OS.

While you are waiting for the fix, have you tried this User Tip? It might work on your phone too:

  • Why can't resize picture to use for wallpaper?

What program can I use to resize picture for wallpaper. The new system won't let you resize.

I suggest using a photo editor on your computer. There may be one on the iPad that let's you resize a photo to specific pixel dimensions. PhotoForge2 allows you to do that but since Google bought PhotoForge it is no longer in the App Store.
Using your image processing app, increase or decrease the image size to one of the following, depending on the device you’re targeting:
    iPad 2 and iPad mini: 1,424 x 1,424
    iPad 3 and iPad 4: 2,448 x 1,936
    iPad Air: 2,448 x 1936
    iPhone 4S: 1,360 x 1,040
    iPhone 5: 1,536 x 1,040
