Resolution of CC for Teams - Education issue regarding second install for student interns.

Hi,
I posted a question last week regarding using our second available install for our student interns. I did receive an initial reply but did not receive one for the follow up clarification I posted. Since I need a definitive answer, I am submitting on a new thread. Is there another avenue for me to get an answer? Below please find the link to the original post and the thread excerpted. I am in charge of administering our recently purchased 10 seat CC for Teams-Education License. Can we use our second install per license on another work station shared by our student interns? I read through the general and CC EULAs as well as going through the forums and did not find a definitive answer that I can show my supervisor. Thanks in advance for the answer!

Thank you for reahcing out to us for this query .
As per the Eula, one seat is assigned to one user only but that one user can have the products installed on upto two of Machines that belongs to him . So in our case , since you are installing the product on a machine that does not belong to the original user , you will be violating the terms of EULA .

Thanks for your timely reply. In our case however the machines belong to the department, not the individual user, so would not fair use include install on the department's machines? I am certainly not trying to over parse your response or find a way around the EULA-since money is a large issue for a state institution (California State University, Northridge-I'm in the Marketing Department), I have to do my due diligence to make sure we are being as fiscally responsible as possible and it does seem to me that looked at from the perspective of departmental ownership, the install on a second workstation should be allowed. Reset the hosts file:
Windows
Choose Start > Run, type %systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc, and then press Enter.
Right-click the hosts file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
Save and close the file.
Mac OS
Log in as an administrator to edit the hosts file in Mac OS.
In a Finder window, choose Go > Go To Folder.
Type /etc.
Select the hosts file and open it.
Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
Save and close the file.

Can an educational institution that is not accredited use these wonderful tools? I would hope Apple makes this approval process as individual for the educational institutions as they are for the individual student's learn needs and qualifications.ing

I see that Common Sense Meda offers courses. I don't believe they are an accredited educational institution. Approval may be on a case by case basis so Apple can control the experience. I hope it's open.
I'm more concerned that Apple is excluding accredited educational institutions in many countries.

You will need to redownload it - rentals expire and are deleted, either 30 days after renting it, or 48 hours (24 hours if you are in the US) after starting to watch it, whichever is the soonest.

Issue regarding consecutive run for an Interface

i have an issue regarding an interface
if this Interface is a initial run for the file, you have to populate all the data of the people. That is , unlike other interfaces where we send only the latest record, in this interface we need to send all the records of the employees. in a employee has 10 records with different dates, we will pick up all the records greater than 1999 and pass it. whereas if there is a change in one field, then we will send all the record of that file. And If it is a consecutive run then you have to populate changes only. the following algorithm can help you in this
if intial_run EQ 'X'
transfer IT_FINALDATA to XI.
else
Declare a 2 more internal tables similar to IT_FINALDATA...for our below example let us assume that
         DATA: IT_CLUSTERDATA type standard table of IT_FINALDATA.
         DATA: IT_COMPAREDATA type standard table of IT_FINALDATA.
use the following statement to retrieve the data from cluster and comparing it
        IMPORT IT_CLUSTERDATA TO IT_COMPAREDATA FROM DATABASE indx(zn) ID 'IN_8085'.
        Compare IT_COMPAREDATA with IT_FINALDATA
If sy-subrc = 0.
Means there are no changes, and no output required
Else
Pass the data to XI interface, And store the internal table in the same INDX table, using the following statement
EXPORT IT_FINALDATA to IT_CLUSTERDATA FROM DATABASE indx(zn) ID 'IN_8077'.
Endif.
In this can we deliver the changed data at every single consecutive run.

This is something where HR Interface Toolbox (PU12) can be very helpful, it will take care of changes from one run to another and you can configure it to send changes only in next run. But, you will need some ABAP in its user exits to restrict the data after 1999, and any other restrictions that you might want.

If your first seat is for creative cloud complete ,all the seats that you'll add will be at the same price price and the same product of the first seat ( in this case creative cloud complete).
In your case you must buy another photoshop team with 1 seat and a third indesign team with 1 seat.
You can't mix different product in the same team subscription.
The price does not change regardless of the number of seats purchased.

Installation issue in second install on home computer?

I have a full CC membership on my office lap top, I signed in on my home computer and it ony installed 30 day versions.
My Windows 7.0 64 bit Microsoft firewall appears to have stopped all Adobe product from working as when I attempt to open the app I am asked to sign in as they sit there unable to connect.
How do get the advertised second install working correctly?
How do get the Abobe CC to sign in to function if the Windows security is stopping it from connecting?

You can use HARCSI00 report - this report evaluates both membership fees IT 0057 and payroll results.

You can use PC00_M99_CWTR (wage type reporter) and choose relevant Membership wage type to check the values.

Issue regarding 0 truncation for numbers in .csv file

I m loading data from .csv file say: Item Master Data.
Our requirement is if customer sends item number as 0022 or 22 or 0001 or 1, we have to save & show same way.
Let us suppose customer send us data with item number u2018001u2019 but as he makes .csv file, I get as u20181u2019 and not u2018001u2019, So I could load as u20181u2019.
But if we rename customeru2019s csv file as .txt. And then open it in Excel with Item Number column as Text, we get '001'.
But every day we can't do it manually for every file, Pls let me know if you find any solution on this.....

Did you try what i said? try this in dev.create a dummy item infoobject of type char and build a flatfile datasource only with this infoobject. Use your CSV file. In the file delete all columns except item and try to preview and see whether leading zeros are visible? If you are able see 00 in .txt format then this should work. Try and let me know.

Can I Split Coax for TV and Add a Second Modem for Internet?

Wireless does not work throught the house and I need a wired connection in room upstairs. There is no way to get another coax up to that room from basement so I guess I need a second modem. Is there a way to use the TV coax that is already wired into room and split it so I can connect a modem and a TV to the cable? Would prefer not to have a second modem if there is another way to do it. Thanks.

you will need a 1ghz splitter, and a second device though. You will need a NIM 100, or an ECB2200 those are moca/coax to ethernet bridges for FiOS. Or a 2nd router (super cheap on ebay)

I would recommend verifying that any third-party plug-ins are compatible with Photoshop CC 2014 before you remove Photoshop CC.

I have a membership of 'Creative Cloud for teams' I've made the install for Photoshop and Illustrator but when I start'em they ask me for a serial number otherwise I'm starting with free trial, why?

I see that you have an active Subscription under your account . Please launch any of the installed product and when you get the trial prompt , please click on License this software and then Enter the Adobe Id & Password for the account that you have accepted the invite .

Jabber for Windows / iPhone - issue with photo and search

I have an issue regarding Cisco Jabber for Windows as well as iPhone & iPad.
I recently upgraded our Call Manager infrastructure from 8.6.5 to 10.0. Along with that, I wanted to rollout the new Jabber for Windows (9.7.2) because now we use a very old version (9.2.1).
After I upgraded my test client, I noticed that the user photos (which are retrieved from active directory) were gone.
So for the first time, I decided to modify the the jabber-config.xml (I attatched the two different versions).

My attempt is to achive these goals:
1) I want one config file which is working with Jabber for Windows, iPhone & iPad, Android as well as Jabber for Mac
2) I want a secure connection from the client to our directory server
3) I want to retrieve the user photos from the active directory user (attribute thumbnailPhoto)
4) Jabber should find only users which are a member of the active directory group "example" (example is a nested group which contains several users and at least _one_ other group). Until now, the whole active directory was searched for users/contacts.
So far, 1) and 2) seems to work fine. 3) and 4) are the troublemakers and I really don't no why.
Can somebody help me?

First I had to uncheck "Use UDS for Contact Resolution" and then I had to create a new jabber-config.xml and upload it to the TFTP server.
But there are a few limitations you have to deal with. But I have mentioned that in the other thread.

I went to the Disk Utility and performed a "verify disk permissions", after which I ran the repair disk permissions. After that it said something was modified and it would not be repaired.
I've been having some odd issues lately, namely, System Preferences and Adobe Acrobat Reader hanging on me. Then it prevents me from shutting down properly.
Does anybody know what is happening and how I might resolve the issue below?

First "verify" is a total waste of time - - either do nothing or repair, but never verify. Verify is pointless.
Those messages are to be ignored and have nothing to do with your shutdown issue.
A quick search of these boards will reveal dozens of threads about the SUID and cups things.
Ignore them. As they say, they are "warnings" not errors and have been around since an early Leopard update.
Look in your console logs for the real issues regarding Acrobat and System Preferences hanging up.
Check your login items.
Create a new user account and see if the hangs occur with the new account.
