Resolutions no longer good?

I had a couple calendar projects assembled prior to Photos update.  Now, all the images that were just fine in iPhoto all have the yellow triangle on them.  All the sudden, these images are considered "low resolution".  Really?  I took them with iPhone 5's and 6's, and iPhoto was fine with them, but now they don't have enough resolution to print well?
Did the threshold for acceptable print resolution change with the Photos update?  I find it hard to believe that all the images I printed in great calendars all the sudden won't print well in a Photos calendar.
     Bill

Did you check the actual resolution of the photos? I've seen a few photos in my library that were taken with the iPhone front camera which were in fact pretty low-resolution.

can not verify apple id. The email on my itunes account is no longer good.

You can change it.  At the top of iTunes, click Store > View My Account, log in with your password, View Account.  To the right of your Apple ID click the word Edit, and it will take you to a page where you can edit your email address.
You are right to avoid creating a new account if at all possible, since having multiple accounts usually causes complications down the line.

  • HT201302 The laptop I was using to upload photos from my iphone is no longer good and I want to use my desktop instead but it is displaying an error that the iphone has no photos in it. How do I start using my desktop to upload my photos from my iphone5?

The laptop I was using to upload photos from my iphone is no longer good and I want to use my desktop instead but it is displaying an error that the iphone has no photos in it. How do I start using my desktop to upload my photos from my iphone5, is there any software I need to download?

Photos on the phone in the DCIM folder are those located in the camera roll. Photos that are synced to the phone from the computer cannot be accessed in this manner. They are synced and the only way to manage them is to connect the phone, go to the photos tab and un-select the folders you want to remove or go into the folder photos are located in and remove the photos you no longer want to sync. Then sync the phone and the photos will be removed.

  • I haven't used my iPad 1 for months and now am trying to charge it, but it doesn't seem to be charging. Is the battery no longer good?

I haven't used my iPad 1 for months and now am trying to charge it, but it doesn't seem to be charging. Is the battery no longer good because it hasn't been used for so long?

I just ran into this. You have to make sure you're using an iPad charger (the bricklet is larger) in a wall outlet. Leave it alone for several hours, then do the reset while it's still plugged in (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). It should make a comeback.

  • Correct display resolution no longer showing after 10.5.7 update

    Hi,
The native resolution for my display (HP w2207h) no longer shows up in the displays preference pane. It should be 1680x1050 but the nearest resolutions showing are 1600x900 or 1920x1080 which both look pants,
It's connected via DVI-HDMI cable and had no trouble before. I cannot find a way to change what resolutions show in the display preference, I've tried trashing various preferences but still no joy.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • Monitor's native resolution no longer available

I've got a Mini running 10.5.6 with a 22" LCD that runs at 1680x1050 natively. I recently disconnected the Mac and plugged it to my standard definition TV for some old school Nintendo gaming at 640x480 and it worked beautifully. Now, when I reconnect the Mac to my 22" LCD the native resolution is no longer available. The best I can get is 1600x1200 which is not the native widescreen resolution. At this resolution the display is stretched horizontally. I've tried using the "detect displays" button, rebooted several times, removed the monitor cable... none of that seems to help. Are there some sort of prefs that I can trash? I tried removing some files from /System/Library/PreferencePanes/Displays.prefPane/Contents/ but that only ended up making the pane in System Preferences disappear. Luckily the pane came back after I put the files back.
Anyway, if anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it!

I tried Quix's solution but got a strange result.
I don't have another monitor, but I disconnected the plasma and used Screen Sharing to log onto the machine and set the resolution to 1280x768 (that was the closest available resolution in a very long list of choices).
When I plugged the plama back in, the image was offset. The left 1/3 of the screen was blank and only 2/3rd's of a finder window was visible. When I ran "Detect Displays" it revered to a lower resolution and only gave me 3 resolution choices.
    This is really frustrating.

  • Resolution no longer available.

My computer was asleep and when I woke it my resolution had changed. i went to change it back but my old resolution of 1680x1050 is no longer there. I tried the cmd-opt-p-r hold at startup but no dice. I don't Know what to do please help.

    Hello Giggirock,
Firstly, i would take the display and conect it to another machine. See if you can achieve this resolution with another computer. If the same problem occurs, i would say its the controller board on the LCD. if the resolution was there(on the other computer) then u may have a problem with the video card in your computer.
try this out, and let me know how you go

  • Slideshow resolution not as good as in iPhoto

I wanted to do a little more with a slideshow than iPhoto would allow. After importing rather large files (4meg) into FCP set field dominance to none, tried to avoid compressing ... set compressor to none. Not for TV so set square pixels for monitor viewing. Although realised later if going to mpeg2 for DVD only have choice between PAL/NTSC. Anyway these are the settings I ended up with after searches and researches.
It still doesn't look as good as the iPhoto slideshow except much funkier. iPhoto obviously doesn't have to read frames p/second but the difference is substantial... subjective. Any suggestions on a workflow? Or will iPhoto always have better resolution on big files?

Tom, got no idea how fast my drives are. I was just wanting to make a funkier slideshow than in iPhoto but hold onto the resolution.
The slideshow is for a launch party (my wifes jean range) that I can play from the machine onto my monitor. Also my understanding is (only been doing this for a couple of months) the higher the resolution prior to compression to mpeg the better.
How do I make an uncompressed HD sequence? Is that : compressor - none or uncompressed 8 bit or 10 bit?

  • I just got my iPad with ios5 and the photo resolution is not good, is there a solution?

I got my iPad 2 days ago and the resolution on both front and back camera is extremely low, when taking pics the pixels don't look neat at all, everything looks Iike it was taken from a cell phone with horrible camera resolution.

The resolution of the cameras on the iPad is very low (I can't remember the exact values but they are both something like 1 meg), and unless you are in very good light you are unlikely to get acceptable photos from it. The cameras are mainly aimed at video calls e.g. FaceTime and Skype. If you want to take photos then you are probably better off with a compact camera, or even just your phone.

  • Late 2012 iMac loses resolution after long sleep

Hi guys, 1st time post that I hope someone can help me solve.
After I wake my 27" iMac after a long sleep the text is blurred and when I look at display resolutions I only have two options (1024x768 & 800x600).
A reboot does not always solve it, a NVRAM reset works sometimes and a Safe Boot always works. During NVRAM reset the 1st screen is the normal grey but after the second chime the screen can be snowy.
Currently I have computer sleeps set to never and with the display set to sleep after 20mins, and I have not had a problem yet.
I have reinstalled mavericks (not a clean install), removed memory, disconnected all usb devices and reset SMC but still have same problem.
    Anybody got any ideas?
    Dave

Welcome to Apple Support Communities ..
Text is blurred ..  Safe Boot always works.
Might be a font causing this since Safe Mode disables all third party fonts.
Open FontBook in your Applications folder.
From the FontBook menu bar click File > Restore Standard Fonts
    Restart your Mac to test.

  • HT1918 itunes hooked up to an e-mail no longer good tried to chg and add new email but it show system set me up with new account instead of updating new email need to merge and use the current email with old account

I have had itunes for years, however, old account was setup under [email protected] and I no longer have that e-mail or ATT internet service so everytime I want to update my e-mail account with my new [email protected] it wll not let me because I tried to update from my itues account and just changed the e-mail id field and it allowed me to update however it actually just made me have another seperate account under my current e-mal.
I need to merge the two how can  I do that now that this system has me as two different accounts. One is Tracy Rucker the other one has all of my names
    Tracy Randle Wlliams Rucker?
Help please no verication e-mails can be verified with the old sbcglobal.net account

In iTunes, do Store->View my AppleID
    Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer.  If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first.

  • How do I delete folders listed in Time Machine that are no longer good?

I AM TRYING TO DELETE FOLDERS ON MY TIME MACHINE THAT I NO LONGER NEED:
MY TIME MACHINE FOLDER SHOWS AT PRESENT:
    DIGI FILES_PE
    DIGI FILES-PE-ACDS
    DIGI-ACDS
    HARD DRIVE
    IPHOTO-PHOTO-PREV-PE
    PREV-ELEMENTS
    WORKING
    I WANT TO DELETE:
    PREV-ELEMENTS
    DIGI FILES_PE
    DIGI FILES-PE-ACDS
When I checked the Help INstructions it tell me to Highlight the file and click the Actions menu (Gear icon) from the toolbar.
Select “Delete all backups of <this file>”.
BUT...when I do that the Gear icon only shows "Move to Trash" Not “Delete all backups of <this file>”.
So when I try to move the old folders to the trash it tells me that the operation cannot be done?

  • I found this IMac in front of a video store the owner said some kids wanted to sell it to him but he delcined. I plugged this in and it is not turning on does that mean it is no longer good?

    found to computers.
1 is a Imac G3 or G4, I plugged it in but it is not working. I know the computer is the bottom round part, does this mean it is no good?
2nd one is a Mac monitor and when turn on from the back the light in the front far right just blinks continually, is this monitor any good or do I need to attach it to a computer to see if it really works.
I have been a PC user mostly so I am looking for some help here.

For the computer, if it has a round white dome with an flat screen on an arm, it is an iMac G4.  When you plug it in and press the power button, does it do anything (screen comes on, makes any noise, etc...)?
For the display, you can look here to better indentify it
    http://support.apple.com/specs/#displays
You'd have to connect it to a computer to really see if it works.
If these were abandoned, I'm guessing they are broken in some way.

  • Screen resolution changed upon awake; old resolution no longer available

My new MSI Z97 i7 mobo based Windows TP woke from sleep this morning, with the resolution changed to 1024x768.
When I went to change it back to 1920x1200, that resolution is not available; only 1920x1024, and the screen looks odd. Unless advised otherwise, I will try to re-install the display drivers that came w/ the mobo, to get the display correct again. Otherwise,
    really liking Win10

  • The apple id associated with my itunes is no longer good because that email address has been deleted what do i do to update the info

the apple ID that is associated with my itunes is no longer valid because the email address has been deleted, how can i update my info without my old email and password?

how is what blocked?  the email address? or apple ID... As for the ID, its not bocked but when i entre the password it says... " Your Apple ID has been diabled for security reasons. to enable your account, reset your password on appleid.apple.com" which i did, after i have entred the apple ID, it gives me two options to either change my password by sending it to my email acccount used, first time i clicked use email to reset pasword. i then went to msn to long into that email and msn says that this account has been blocked due to the password being entred to many times to activsate this clcik link beloew and so i did, it then took me the security queastion and the alternative email used within that account is completly different to what put in when i first made that account 2 years ago, the security question to that email is in portugues/ spanish and im neither, so clarely someone has hacked into that email and blocked it... and this why i cant change the password for my apple ID..
