Resolving calendar conflicts

My question refers to syncing Outlook with a BB 9800 using BB Desktop Software 7.1.
Since doing my last sync, I changed some calendar items on the PC and the same ones in a different way on the BB.
When I now do a sync, all of these items show up as conflicts. When I used BB Desktop Software 6 in the past, I was able to look at each conflict sererately and decide to keep either the BB version of the change, or the PC version. By way of example, lets assume I have 10 conflicts. With BB Desktop Software 6, I could say that for 3 of them sync the BB value onto the PC and for the other 7 of them sync the PC value onto the BB.
Is there any way to do this with BB Desktop Software 7.1?

Sometimes you have to solve "sub-conflicts" (for lack of a better term) in order to resolve other conflicts.  From your screen shot, it looks like you can resolve some of the conflicts.  Once you get those resolved, maybe you can resolve the others.

  • The "use a class customization to resolve this conflict" error

    Hello,
I see most questions in this forum are unanswered, but here goes:
I must be exceptionally thick, because in spite of finding several hits when searching for this issue, i still don't understand how to solve it:
In the WSDL/schemas provided by a service provider, there are several elements with the same name but in different namespaces, that, when processed with wsimport, generate java classes with the same name but different packages. however, when trying to compile these, wsimport throws the error:
[ERROR] A class/interface with the same name "com.xyz.CustomerLoyalty" is already in use. Use a class customization to resolve this conflict. line 2853 of file:/C:/OTA_TravelItineraryReadPNR1.0.5RS.xsd
[ERROR] (Relevant to above error) another "CustomerLoyalty" is generated from here. line 434 of file:/C:/MyTypeLibrary_v.1.0.6.xsd
This only happens, of course, if i choose to provide the package i want the classes in, with the -p option. not otherwise.
apparently, i have to create an external binding file (don't want to embed into someone else's wsdl) to resolve this - so first question is:
    1. what should the binding file contents look like?
    2. There are several such classes which are "duplicates". so would there need to be an entry for each such class? this might get pretty tedious - is there any other solution at all?
Somewhere, i saw a -B option that could be passed to the jaxb compiler which eliminates this error, but i can't find that link anymore. is that an obsolete option?
    Thanks,
    Nilesh

[ discussion moved to Flash Pro General Forum ]

What you're describing would happen if you are dragging from
the library of one Flash document to the stage of another Flash
document. The library can only have one copy of a symbol with a
given name. Make sure that you've clicked on the stage of the one
you want to drag to, in order to see its library.
It's a good idea to always name symbols you make, rather than
leaving it at the default "Symbol 1", etc. If you don't change the
name you would be more likely to run into this problem.

  • Resolving metadata conflicts

I finally got a handle on the Keywords & hierarchies and made sure that all my keywords will export. I then went back to Title & Caption all my images.  For the 4 previous folders of images when I did that, when it told me that there was a metadata conflict, I would just hit "resolve" and it would fix it and tell me it is "up to date".  I am ONLY keywording and adding captions in Lightroom 4.4. I am not using an external editor. I have my LR images in ".dng" Now, I just finished 2 more folders and when I tried to resolve the conflict, it gave me an error message on all of them. The metadata status in the right pane says"Changed on disk" (but still shows the alert on my image)
As a test, I selected one image and tried to resolve it but got the same message. It prompts me "save metadata to file?", informing me that the XMP will be written into my "dng" files and prompts me to cancel or continue. When I hit continue, it gives me an error message I/O and says it could not write metadata.  If I choose "Read metadata from File", it erases all my keywords and the title and caption.  I tried "updating DNG Preview & Metadata" but it just seems to stall when looking at the task bar.
Also, what is the difference when I resolve conflict and get the message "up to date" (I assume that's good) and "metadata has been changed" (is that good or bad?).
I just spent hours & hours writing in the keywords, captions & titles. I'd hate to have to start over.

In the grand scheme, using only file extensions to denote different files is a really bad idea. Yes, it's :easy" but relying on just the extension to keep different files from being overwritten is just poor practice.
Which is the primary reason that Lightroom made the decision to only accept one single file as being the "truth of the image". Ideally, what you would do is import the raw files and treat that as the "original" and make either exported files (consumable files that are not part of the database) or Photoshop -Edit files which are part of the database. Adding the -Edit denote the file is edited and therefore NOT the original.
One can argue with that logic from the standpoint of raw + jpgs...and 1.1 will fix that. But unless you explicitly tell Lightroom to ignore the existence of similarly named files, 1.1 will still prevent multiple duplicates in the database. Although the wording on import has been changed to make is more understandable...
So, yes, in 1.1 you WILL be able to import raw + jpg as a special case so you can get both in the database, but by default Lightroom STILL really only wants a single file to represent the "truth" of an image. And if you are using .tiff and .psd to represent anything other than simply a different file format, you really should reconsider that practice.

Trying to configure an Airport Extreme manually.  After I enter the IP Address of the GenieGo along with the rest of information required I am getting the following error message when I click update:
DHCP range entered conflicts with the WAN IP address of your base station.
How do I resolve the conflict?

You cannot use the same range on LAN and WAN if you are routing.. it must be different.. and you should not be routing at all.
The AE should be in bridge mode. NO DHCP settings at all.

  • Resolving Replication Conflicts And Errors Very Weak In 5.0.0.6

The current 5.0.0.6 release of 9ilite is very weak in the area of resolving replication conflicts. It seems like you need to create your own conflict handling routine. First, you need to read the C$EQ table in the mobile admin account to check if any errors have been logged. Then you need to read the CEQ$tablename table(s) from the application schema based upon the data contained in the C$EQ table. At this point you can change the data in the CEQ$tablename table and then call the consolidator api from your application to either remove or process the transaction that caused the conflict or error.
I've worked with Oracle Support on this and they don't even have any information on this. It is left up to the user to figure it out.
Perhaps this will be addressed in the 5.0.1 release.
I was wondering how some other developers where handling this issue.
    Tom

You are correct, the method for bailing out of unresolved conflicts or errors is very lame. It would be 100x better if there were some sort of log file/log table entry giving a clue as to why the conflict is being dumped into the ceq$x table.
As far as workarounds, we're taking the approach of testing our app to the point that we hope no inserts into ceq$ ever happen. Probably a pipe dream, but hopefully later releases will address this.

  • Unable to Resolve Integration Conflict.

    Hello Everyone!
I am currently having trouble getting rid of an Integration Conflict.  I was able to Resolve the Conflict in the 'Inactive' Workspace.  However, the Integration Conflict remains in the 'Active' Workspace.
Unfortunately, when I right-click on the conflict in the DTR Perspective all of the options to resolve are greyed out.
Has anyone had this problem before?  Is there a simple way to fix the problem?

  • Resolving folder conflicts in LV project

See the attached screen shot of the resolve conflicts screen. I have a few conflicts (which may have been created when moving and renaming folders) that are not file conflicts but folder conflicts. I am not under the impression that having two folders (autopopulating or otherwise) with the same name is a problem. In any case, these folders do not actually exist on the hard drive. They are apparently referenced in the list of VIs down below. Clicking "Use Selected Item" only appears to resolve the conflict, as after prompting for saving of the files, the newly resolved conflict diappears and then reappears right away at the bottom of the list.
It is true that these so-called conflicts are not directly causing any serious problems, but I have three now, instead of one, after a recent move of some files, and I do not wish to continue accumulating these conflicts.
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but we are using LabVIEW 8.x file paths in the executable.

    I like that analogy!
I use virtual folders and physically separate controls and subVIs.  I make sub-virtual folders inside to group my subVIs accordingly.  In case someone wants to make sense of the phyiscal files, I name similar VIs... well... similarly.  Then I can concentrate on coding and not on coming up with names and locations.  If I can't immediately come up with a good name for the subVI, I don't care.  I can always rename it later in the PE and have PE take care of the behind-the-scenes stuff.  Same with virtual folder places.  I don't know how many times files started with one name and virtual location only to end up with a completely different name and virtual location.
I've used Auto-populating folders before.  While I don't consider them the "Devil's work," it is much more difficult to organize, since you are dealing with physical locations.  Moving files is a PITA.

  • Resolving LabVIEW Conflicts

    Hello,
I recently converted to labVIEW 2012, and I'm trying to clear up conflicts in my project.  The problem I'm running into is that when selecting a conflict there are no options available to remove the item from the project.  Further the conflicts are dependencies and aren't physically on the C drive. Any advice on how to proceed is appreciated.
    -Bob
    Let me share some screenshots:
The first of several conflicts is the Agilent 86100 Series.lvlib conflict as shown in the Project Explorer window.  The path shows that the file is located on the C: drive.  In fact the file does not exist at the specified path.
Then using the Resovle Conflict dialog I get this screenshot, which shows the conflict is the same file showing up on the T: drive as well as the C: drive.  The file does indeed exist on the T: drive, but not on the C: drive.  The problem is that I have no options for removing the C: drive reference from the project.  All options are either not there or grayed out.
    Thanks for the help.

  • I feel like LV is laughing at me while I try to resolve project conflicts...

I tried looking into other posts involving issues while trying to resolve conflicts but I don't think the cause of my problem is the same...
    Here's the story-
I'm trying to re-organize my project files on disk, and then relink and straighten out the project conflicts that moving vi's and other files on disk will cause (I've done this before with no issues... at least I'm preeettty sure I have)
anyway, after moving some files around LV finds some of the vi's that were moved but not all of them- so I right click on one of the vi's in the proj that it cant find and select 'resolve conflicts' to use the dialog...
dialog comes up and I'm totally ready to start resolving some conflicts...
It lists each vi by name and shows the old path (where it cannot find the vi) and the path where it is currently loaded from...  I select the path that it is currently loaded from and click "Use Selected Item".  The conflict dissapears... and I feel like a real conflict-fixer... until the same conflict pops right back up where it was less than a second later...  I can sit here and keep clicking away, but it keeps popping right back up...
what the heck am I doing wrong?
    thanks for any info

Rather than moving the files using the OS and then 'finding' the files, use the Files view of the Project Explorer, right click on the file(s) to be moved and select 'Move on disk'.
This will move the file and update the project at the same time.

  • LV2013 hangs on Resolve Load Conflict Dialog

    Hi,
I've noticed that LV2013 hangs on Resolve Load Conflict Dialog on certain situations. I noticed this recently with the CDL API but I have seen this before in other circumstances not related to that API.
I have newest versions of CVT v3 and CDL APIs installed along with other Current Value Table related APIs like STM, CIE, CCC.
One way to reproduce this is by creating a new VI and placing "CDL Start Data Logger.vi" to the block diagram and creating a constant to the Tag List input. After this place "CDL Example_Advanced.vi" to the same block diagram. The resolve load conflict dialog appears. Now, if you wait for a couple of seconds before choosing the correct VI to be loaded, you'll see a new loading/search window. It says it is trying to load "...\LabVIEW 2013\resource\Framework\Providers\API\mxLvGetFilePathBatch.vi" but it never completes. When you try to stop or close the window for a couple of times,  nothing happens or LabVIEW crashes. Most of the time I've had to end LabVIEW.exe from Task Manager.
If you quickly select the correct item from the list and press "Load with Selected" this doesn't happen.
Attached is a screenshot of the situation and crash report.
Has anyone else seen such behaviour?

I followed these steps exactly, and while I got load warnings about changing dependencies dropping both nodes, I did not get a resolve conflicts dialog. Is there anything different you are doing? My steps -
    1) Quick Drop CDL Start Data Logger (Load Warning pops up about new path)
    2) Dismiss load warning
    3) Create constant from the Tag List terminal
    4) Quick Drop CDL Example Advanced (Load Warning pops up)
    5) Dismiss load warning
    6) no hang

  • 1.9 DVR still cannot resolve recording conflicts?

While I enjoy the improvements in 1.9, the DVR still can't resolve recording conflicts.
    My example: 9PM Monday.
    1. Last hour of Sing Off
    2. Two 1/2 Men
    3. Top Gear
    4. American Chopper
I have to resolve this manually. One thing I can say for DTV, their DVR's were programmed to know that 3 and 4 would be televised 3 hours later and would schedule the recording. Or know that, as an example, the weeks episode Boardwalk Empire would be televised on HBOW three hours later.

    I could not agree more.
The History and Series Priority management need to be better utilized to record missed airings due to conflict.

  • Can pacman automatically resolve package conflicts?

    I hope the "installation" area is the right place to discuss Pacman ;
Is there a way for Pacman to resolve conflicts between implied packages (e.g. those included by a group like base) and other packages explicitly listed in the command line arguments?
    For example, if I do
    pacman -S base fcron
    I get this error
    resolving dependencies...
    looking for inter-conflicts...
    error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: cronie and fcron are in conflict (cron)
Given I didn't explicitly specify cronie it would be good if Pacman could realise that fcron and cronie both satisfy the same dependency (cron) and would therefore drop cronie to resolve the conflict with fcron.
I know I can get round the problem by issuing two separate pacman commands but I'm trying to do this in a script that builds a package list for a complete system for a specific purpose as defined by a set of definition profiles and then installs the lot with one call to Pacman.
Can Pacman do this now and I just haven't realised how, or would this sound like a reasonable enhancement request ?
    Thanks.

Well, the workaround I am using is below. I think it's ugly but it works. I have to let the unwanted implied packages install and then manu
ally replace them. In a script the only hands-off way I can find to make this happen is with the below ugly command:
    # yes | pacman -S fcron
    resolving dependencies...
    looking for inter-conflicts...
:: fcron and cronie are in conflict (cron). Remove cronie? [y/N]
    Remove (1): cronie-1.4.8-1
    Total Removed Size: 0.18 MB
    Targets (1): fcron-3.0.6-4
    Total Download Size: 0.00 MB
    Total Installed Size: 1.21 MB
Proceed with installation? [Y/n] (0/1) checking package integrity [--------------(1/1) checking pac
    kage integrity [#########################################] 100%
    (1/1) checking for file conflicts [#########################################] 100%
    (1/1) removing cronie [#########################################] 100%
    (1/1) installing fcron [#########################################] 100%
I think there are two problems with how it works today.
    1. it isn't possible to replace packages in a group with specific alternatives in one command
    2. the default option when requesting an --ignore is to not ignore. I think this is particularly crazy since I explicitly told the command
    to ignore that package.
I'm happy to raise these in bug/enhancement request tracking if you can guide me in the right direction.
    Thanks.

  • Calendar conflicts

Ever since downloading the latest Blackberry Desktop Manager for my Bold 9700 I have had a problem I cannot resolve with duplicate calendar entries on the Blackberry (but not in Outlook that I synch with).
There are two calendars on the Blackberry, my own and Device Default.  I have made them different colours, but all of the duplicated calendar entries are in the colour of my own calendar.
However, if I switch from showing All Calendars to Device Default, duplicates disappear but the entries that are left are in the colour of my calendar, not the colour allocated to Device Default.
I have tried to switch to showing only the Device Default and deleting what is left showing, but sometimes this deletes both entries, so that when I synch again the item disappears from Outlook.
When I downloaded the Desktop Manager the following process cleared all entries having saved them, and then reinstated them when the new Desktop Manager had been installed, and in doing so created this muddle, which is is sending me around the bend.  Help needed please.
    Thanks
