Dear Experts,
I want to have brief but concise understanding of R/3 modules in aspects of business process flows, table important table structures. Ideally, the document or book should phrase it in a way easy for non-functional people to understand. I am sure as Abap Developers, you gurus have to understand business processes & tables all the time. Appreciate some help here. I am even willing to pay a sum for such resource.

What did you actually search for? I just went to the Instrument Driver Network, entered '33250A', found it's driver, entered '844', and also found it's driver. I did not try this from the Tools menu in LabVIEW but it should also have found them.

Can we move SAP standard Function Group and Table defintion to BW

Dear Forum,
We are in a pilot process of migrating SAP R/3 Custom development objects to our BW client and we have a few questions that we would like to know if possible.
We are currently in the To Be Blueprint Phase of migrating SAP 45B to ERP2005 as a Ramp-Up customer and we need to determine as soon as possible the feasibility of moving one particular Custom application
from our SAP R/3 environment to BW. This application primarily performs computational processing and does reporting of the results at the
conclusion
We have selected one Custom R/3 ABAP program to do a pilot to determine the feasibility of migrating it to the BW platform. This Custom program utilizes objects from standard SAP Function Groups which are non existent in BW. In this particular case Function groups KMS0
(Cost Center Selection) and KAB2 (CO Reporting: General).
Questions:
Are we allowed to move these 2 standard SAP Function Groups to BW ? Would it alter the BW environment integrity as intended and designed by SAP?
If we move the Function Group KMS0 and KAB2 will
SAP support our BW environment if we decide to move them?
Would it be considered a SAP Best Practice to move standard SAP R/3
objects to BW?

The system searches the field <text> for the pattern <p>. The SECTION OFFSET <off> LENGTH <len> OF addition tells the system to search only from the <off> position in the length <len>. You may also use transaction SD11 to browse the CRM data model in the CRM Server. There you can select application and look for different tables.

SQL for Time Series Functions AGO and YTD

When we use a time series function such as AGO or TODATE, OBIEE creates 2 physical queries. One query reads the calendar table. The other query reads the fact table without any date filter in the WHERE clause. Then the results of the 2 queries are stitched together. The query on the fact table returns a lot of rows because there is no filter on date.
Is there a way to force OBIEE to put a filter on the date when performing the physical query on the fact table when using AGO or TODATE?

We do have a date filter on the analysis. We need the analysis to show sales for a certain month and sales for that month a year ago, so we use the AGO function. However, it is really slow because it does a physical query on the sales table without filtering on date and then filters the results of that physical query by the dates from the physical query on the calendar table.

Function Reference and Table Sort

I have a table that I use to track numerical data to a fixed size table.
After adding new data I sort the columns, for example in descending order.
My question is this, is it possible to specify the references in say the Average Function to refer to the same cells, eg the bottom 10, in the table and not be affected by the sort. Another way to describe this is that I would like to always average the bottom 10 cells and not have this change with the sort command.

In fact I was not satisfied.
the initial formula assumes that every cells in the column are filled (minus the bottom one used ase a fake footer)
For those whose use doesn't match this requirement, here is an enhanced one.
=AVERAGE(OFFSET($A$1,COUNT(B)+1-10,1,10,1))
I wrote +1-10 to make clear what is done:
+1 because the COUNT() function doesn't count the header row
-10 to leave 10 filled cells in the calculated range
Jerry : it seems that you missed that I often used this function to define a range of cells. I must say thank you to Bugs Hunters because some months ago I asked them because I didn't correctly understood the function's behavior and they took time to explain what I missed.
While working on this question, I encountered what I feel as a gap in the Help. It states:
To copy cells within or between tables, drag selected cells while holding down the _Option key_ . Any values in the destination cells are replaced.
They forgot to add: "and then drag the selection by its border" as it is written for the move feature.
An alternate protocol works to move a group of cells:
select such a group
press the shift key.
drag the selected block where we want.

Resources for Using Premiere Pro CS4 and Encore to author Blu Ray DVDs

I am getting ready to author some Blu Ray DVDs consisting of HD video of various aspect ratios and formats on the same disc. I have Premiere Pro sequences that are either 720p30 and 1080i (60i). The 720p video is 1280x720 (1.0) 60fps. The 1080 footage is mixed with some of the 1080i (60i) sequence video being 1440x1080 (1.3333) at 29.97 fps and some at 1920x1080 (1.0) at 29.97 fps. I haven't mixed the formats into the same project. I've kept them in separate projects because I'm unsure what would happen on export and whether I'd suffer degredation of one or the other if I dumped them together into the same timeline.
The final Blu-Ray project would consist of a bunch of menu items with each item going to a specific exported video of a specific format and/or aspect ratio. After playing around the Media Encoder for a couple of hours looking for an export setting that would preserve the video quality as close as possible to the original source video, I've settled on using the MPEG-2 Blu-Ray format using either the HDTV 1080i High Quality or the HDTV 720p 59.94 High Quality presets, depending on the format of the original video that I'm compiling.
Before I start firing up Media Encoder though, I need to figure out a couple of things pertaining to authoring Blu-Ray and what I can and cannot do. For example, can I have mixed formats on the same disk (720p and 1080i) as long as the the 720p video exists in one file and the 1080i exists in a different file? Looking over the Blu-Ray settings in Encore CS4 it's not clear to me and so far I've found nothing in the help file that says definitively that I can't have multiple file formats/aspect ratios/frame rates in the same project, though the way the New Project menu functions it suggests I can't.
Another question I have is would it behoove me to upgrade to CS5 or does it not make a difference whether I use CS4 or CS5 in terms of trying to accomplish what I want to accomplish? And if anyone can point me to other resources on this subject, that would be helpful as well. Thanks.

I use BD-RE disks.
First i make an iso and test it on the pc. (virtual clone drive and Power dvd)
Then burn with Nero to RE and test it on a standalone BD player.
If the RE passes the test i burn the iso to BD disk again with Nero (i am still on version 7)

Function FUNCTION FILE_GET_NAME and table FILENAMECI

I have an ABAP program that calls FUNCTION 'FILE_GET_NAME' with only the logical_filename and operating_system parameters. ex:

      operating_system = 'NT'
    IMPORTING

    EXCEPTIONS

This gets the physical file name correctly when run / debugged in DEV/TST and PRD.
ex:
DEV :
serverT01\GAINS2\test\
TST :
serverT01\GAINS2\test\
PRD :
serverP01\GAINS01\
I can see that FILENAMECI has different entries for Physical file (FILEEXTERN) in DEV and TST than it does in PRD. I have read that transaction FILE can be used to maintain this Physical path, but it seems that best practice is to transport that from DEV. How then, is our file path in FILENAMECI different in PRD? Moreover, what is the best way to change this so that the function will retrieve the correct server name path when run in each environemnt. Apparently the parameters to replace nodes in the physical path name were not used when this was designed.
Is there a way to maintain the path without making ABAP changes to the application program?

Thank you for the response. I understand, and have found, that the way to change the FILENAMECI entries in TST and PRD is to migrate them. Unfortunately, since the file paths need to be different in those environments, migrating a static file path from DEV all the way to PRD doesn't meet the need for DEV and TST once it is migrated. I can see how this would be great if the substitution design had been in place for this file path/name, but it was static and didn't allow for "variable substitution".
I did not have time with the project to rework this, so I did what the previous developer must have done and migrated it to PRD static for PRD and will rename FILENAMECI again afterwards, and re-migrate that file name as far as TST.
When time allows, after this project is closed, I'm committed to cleaning this mess up.

Text and table structure getting jumbled up in the smartform output

Hi all ,
While viewing the print preview of a smartform output , i am facing a strange issue.
The hardcoded text is getting jumbled up .For eg:"As soon as possible" becomes " as possible . soon as"
The structure of the table is also getting reversed.That is the table is now getting displayed with the last couloum first.The data in the table is also coming in the reverse order.
While executing the smartform directly , the layout is coming in the proper order.But while executing this through a transaction (FINT) , this issue is coming up.The print program is a standard program.
I have tried deleting the window , copying it to a new smartform etc.I have also tried in different systems to check whether if it is an issue with the system.
If anyone has faced a similar issue , please let me know how to solve it.Thanks a lot in advance.

Please check the Printout rather the print Preview. and also check the Structure/table entries also that u printing and also if u r using template, then check the assignment 1 of 1 , etc to the texts.

Update partner function in KNVP table using FM sd_customer-maintain_all

I have to update Partner Function PARVW in KNVP table using FM sd_customer_maintain_all.
I had already created a BDC program for updating which is running successfully.
But my requirement is to create a BAPI using FM customermaintain_all.
Ex: Tcode VD02

1. I tried sending Z2 KZ as D first & Z1 with KZ as I with business partner of Z2 (KUNN2)

     partner function ).
III) Any sample code which can guide me.
Even a small hint or clue from you will certainly help me.
