Resource in a process order

Assume that process order no is 100. The master recipe grp is 50000000. There are 5 operations in the recipe (10 to 50) & the last operation is milestone operation. All the operations & the phases in the recipe are based on the same resorce for ex---machine1.
Suppose after confirmation (operation-50 which is milestone operation), (conf no--1000001),  how can I get back the resource used for the order 100 from the order no????
<b>which tables will give me the resource no????</b>
This is required to me for report development. Can anybody guide me on this front.???
Regards,
Manish

Thanks for the quickest reply.
Exactly the same is required by me. I skipped off from my mind that the object id is the tech name for resource which can be seen admin data tab page in basic data of resource.
But ur timely help is  definately benefial. Thanks once again for the same & hoping similar responses from you in future too.
Thanks & Regards,
Manish

  • Change Resources in a Process order operation

    Hello
Is there any way to change a resource in a process order operation?, I have 5 machines, but sometimes I use the machine1 and machine2 to produce the material A, but if i dont have capacity to produce or if one machine is not working, I could use another machines. I know i could use products versions, but if I do thar, there will be a lot of convinations.
    Thank you in advance.

    Dear Saly,
as correctly said by Caetano in standard SAP the only tool to change work center in production orders is in leveling activity through CM21 (graphics or tabelar - CM21 , CM22).
In this strument (CM21) according to customizing setting in strategy profile (belonging to overall profile)
you can change resource through drag / drop method or (with special setting in strategy profile)  insering manually a new resourse.
As alternative tool is possible to create a custom report and change work center using a BI custom using a filter tool present in the production order after go to operation details. Unfortunaltely in the standard SAP there isn't a bapi/fm (released by SAP)  to change work center in production order.
Let me know if i've been useful for you.

  • Resource selection in process order

    Dear Experts,
I have a scenario where I want to group similar resources under specific resource types and finally arrive at a situation where if I try to change the resource in an order from the drop-down menu in the resource field, it only shows those particular resources which belong to the same category. Can anybody suggest a way to map this ?
                        Thanx in anticipation.
    Regards
    Sm.

    Hi
This can be achieved by using Work center class type 019.
For example if you have manual lathe machine and automatic lathe machine which can be used to do the same the operaion. Then the resource can be selected after creating the process order based on availability.
    1. Create a class type 019 and assign the required characteristics of the work center.
    2. Create a resource using CRC1 and Goto Extras-->Clasification and assign the class created.
    3. Create Recipe.
    4. Select the operation in the recipe and  click on the resource selection criteria radio button in the bottom menu and mention the selection criteria.
    5. Create a process order and if more than one work center is satifying the criteria mentioned in the recipe then you can change the resouce in process order by cliking execute resource selection.

  • Capacity Consumption of Process Orders Query

    Hi Forum,
The client has process orders passing from ECC to APO and the busienss user looks at the SNP Capacity planning book view to see the resource capacity load.
This was all working fine when the ECC scheduling type on the process order was either: 5: Forwards in Time, or 6 Backwards in time.
Yesterday there was a change in ECC where they starting using the scheduling type: 3 Only Capacity Requirements.
SInce thsi chnage APO has stopped recognising the capaicty consumption on the resources. The Process order still appears in APO SNP planning books, but not in the capacity book.
Is '3 Only Capacity Requirements' compatible with APO SNP?
When a process order was changed back to '5 Forwards in Time' in ECC COR2, it would instantly pass to APO and the capacity consumption would return.
Is there some SPRO config somewhere?

Sorry for the delay. I have found a user exit in ECC that controls the filtering of operations. An SAP note (367658 ) appears to suggest it is filtering out the operations when the ECC scheduling setting 3 is used.
My initial testing seems to show this user exit fixes my issue.
From the business side, we have a quite complex solution wher APO plans, ECC converts to process orders and another non SAP system does the scehduling and sends it back. Im not sure on the need for the scheduling type 3, as im not the ECC consultant involved, but im pretty sure its related to the number of lines on the resource in this non SAP scheduling tool.
Not ideal, but if the user exit works for me then i will run with it.

  • Problem with process order resource selection condition

I face a problem while trying to release process order as i am getting an error as "Resource XXXX assigned to operation 20 does not meet resource selection condition".What may be the reason for this.how to check and rectify...
    Please help.

    hi,
I think you have been using a work center in place of resouce.
    Actually
Resource catagory = 0008 is assign to Application C (Recipe) & only use in Recipe Creation.
Work Center catagory = 0005 is assign to Application N & R( Routine & Refernce operation set) & only use in Routine Creation.

  • Adding another resource on process order level

In certain cases our client has to stop it's production if a machine breaks down.
The solution of this problem is to post confirmation of all operation teco the process order, create one time recipe one time bom and a production version to create order manually.
I have seen that it is possible to change a process order with cor2 even during confirmations you can add another operation and phase with the machine on which you are continuing your production physically. the system allows to change it as well wht i feel is that it also shows the variance as resource usage variance which could be ideal for costing as well. i just want to confirm that either it is possible n if yes than wht could be the areas where i should keep an eye or should check them as well what could be the consequences and either this concept is right or wrong...........it's

Can any one give suggestions in this regard or if any one have such scenario post a msg to me n i will reply ok......... i will give points on suggestions as well.....

    Hy Satish,
As Mr. Prashobh has said there is only two ways two do the same.
One is change by BDC or LSMW and
    Second is by capacity leveling.
One more option is don't change the Resorce in Process orders , but during the Phase Confirmation by Current Confirm Resource.

Have a look at the below link

Material Requirement Planning in SAP Business One creates recommendation for purchase orders and production orders based on some inputs such as Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Inventory Status, Forecast, Bill of Material, Lead time, Minimum Order quantity, Parent dependent requirement, Parent Production Order, etc.
Essentially, MRP(Material Requirement Planning) works like an expert system, which determines how much would be purchased for a purchase item and produced for a manufactured item at a particular point in time.

  • Cost error message at the point of saving a Process Order

    Dear Experts,
Raw Materials R458 and R467 are processed to produce semifinished material S229
While creating a Process Order for material S229, at the point of saving the process order I get the following error messages:
1 No cost element segment exists for 21501000 on 07.07.2011
2 Cost Element Group 2950 does not exist
At the point of saving, cost gets calculated by the system.
Which account(s) is this cost posted to?
Is it the ''Offsetting entry for inventory posting'' account  of the Raw materials R458 and R467? or
Is it the ''Offsetting entry for inventory posting'' account  of the Semi material S229? or
Is it the Cost Center to which the Resource is assigned to?
How can I view this calculated cost value within the particular account?

    Hi,
    1. For error No cost element segment exists for 21501000 on 07.07.2011
Can you check whether you have maintained valuation type in the accounting tab? Also have you maintained costing tab? If you have maintained then go to OBYC that is in GBB with account key VBR GL may have not maintained. Ask your FICO guy to check this.
    2. For error Cost Element Group 2950 does not exist
    Go to below link

Did you get this to work?
    I checked the
    $INST_TOP/logs/ora/10.1.3/opmn/oafm_default_group_1/oafmstd.err file.
    Found the oracle.tip.adapter.db.sp.AbstractStoredProcedure execute was
    the next line was the
    <::Outbound><oracle.tip.adapter.db.sp.AbstractStoredProcedure execute> Bindings [P_ORG_ID=>NUMBER(null), P_OPERATING_UNIT=>VARCHAR2(null), P_API_VERSION_NUMBER=>NUMBER(1.0), ... long log details of the bind parameters....
I search through to find the bindings which were P_HEADER_CUSTOMER_INFO_TBL=>APPS.OE_ORDER_PUB_CX54139X39X5692*(null)* but not allowable as null,
then check the original SOAP request and added the blank parameter:
          <proc:P_HEADER_CUSTOMER_INFO_TBL></proc:P_HEADER_CUSTOMER_INFO_TBL>
So then it didn't come through "NULL" and the procedure got properly called.
    Causing an error:
<::Outbound><oracle.tip.adapter.db.exceptions.DBExceptionHandler isRetriable> SQLState is 65000 (unknown) for java.sql.SQLException: ORA-06531: Reference to uninitialized collection

    ORA-06512: at "APPS.ISG_OE_ORDER_PUB_PROCESS_ORDER", line 1
    ORA-06512: at line 1
That's a nasty call parameter list and very easy to miss a parameter when cleaning up the SOAP XML request.  That's how i did it.  Hope this helps the next guy.

    Hi
To get BOM details, do the following:
    1. Use the material number and goto Article to BOM link table (MAST) to get STLNR (BOM).
    2. With this STLNR, goto STPO table (where STLNR is the key field).  Here you will get all the BOM details like components (IDNRK), UoM (MEINS) etc....
    Hope this helps.

  • Missing operations and dummy activity in process order

    Hi,
we currently maintain several alternate modes in PP/DS PPMs in APO.
When we create a planned order in APO, CIF to R/3, then do conversion to process order in R/3 everything is fine.
When we create a planned order in APO, CIF to R/3, then do conversion to process order in APO, all of the operations are missing and there is a dummy activity present.
We also noted this only occurs when the mode selected in APO by default uses a different resource than the one assigned to the PPM's recipe back in R/3. That is, if the recipe in R/3 uses resource LINE_01 and APO selects resource LINE_02 by default, the issue occurs. If the recipe uses LINE_02 and the APO selects LINE_02 by default, then everything is fine.
Has anyone seen this behavior before ?
    Thanks,
    Roger

    Hi Visu,
For right now, the planned order is created in the product view.
In R/3, the recipe has an operation which uses LINE_01 resource (let's say, production version is L1)
In APO, there are several alternate modes :
    LINE_01
    LINE_02
    LINE_03
By default, when the planned order is created in the product view, the mode with the shortest duration is chosen.  In this case, if I create a planned order using the PPM for production version L1, and LINE_03 happens to have the shortest duration, then the order is created for LINE_03.  Since LINE_03 is not the resource used in the recipe for production version L1, we run into the issue I mentioned previously.
Coincidently, I also noticed that the R/3 process order type is set to schedule automatically.
When I go into edit mode on the process order operation, make no changes, but then save the order the correct resource and operations reappear in APO.
    Regards,
    Roger

  • Scheduling Time in process order

    Dear All
While creating process order system is not picking scheduling time as per maintained in recipe because of this capacity is not being load on WC & showing zero reqmnt. Whreas date are properly calculating as per inhouse time maintained. In OPUZ i had ticked both scheduling & capacity reqmnt.
In resource i had maintained all parameter in capacity & capacity is showing as 24 Hr. Scheduling & Capacity fromula had aslo maintain. Wht could be other reason for nt calculating time as per recipe.
    Thanks & regards

    Rashid,
So is the dates getting populated correctly after scheduing function? If so then probably you current system design it to perform scheduling manually. You can use the "Production Scheduling profile" to perform this automatically. You need to assign a production scheduling profile defined for automatic Scheduling at the creation stage to you materil master "Work Scheduling" view
