Resource Palette missing

Dear all,
A very silly question.
I just upgraded to JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 and I can't find the Resource Palette window.
Any ideas on how to solve this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
you can do this :
Open jdev, select Help->About, in the dialog select the properties tab and look for the property 'oracle.security.jps.config'. The value normally points to a folder inside the system11.1.1.3
goto the path of the system folder and delete it.

  • Error while viewing resource palette

I installed latest 11gR1 nightly build and included the web center extension from the nightly build.
I get this error when try to view the resource palette:
Performing action Resource Palette[ from oracle.jdevimpl.help.HelpWindow ]
Exception while performing action Resource Palette
    java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find resource for bundle oracle.adf.mbean.share.connection.webcenter.rtc.resource.RtcMXBeanMessages, key RtcConnection.type.name
    j.util.ResourceBundle.getObject(ResourceBundle.java:325)
    j.util.ResourceBundle.getString(ResourceBundle.java:285)
I tried this after adding the web center services catalog. I even got the confirmation message saying the web center services catalog was successfully added.
Any idea of what am I missing? I want to add the document library service from the web center services catalog in the resource palette.
    Thanks,
    Ravi.

    Ravi,
The version you're referring to is not available to customers, it's an internal development build. Please use the Oracle internal mailing lists to ask questions about this build.

  • Issue with Packaged Jars added to project from resource Palette

    Hello!
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.2.
I started this post thinking there was an issue having to do with packaging jars that refer to other libraries (see post Are Libraries Required?
Now I realize it is a different issue (although that other post is relevant).
Issue: I create a package -- a template in this case.
I deploy it in my file system and then load it into the resource palette as a file system connection.
I create a new application. From the resource palette, I add the jar to the view controller project, and am able to use the template in jsf files. No problem. Runs fine.
then I load the application into subversion or I move the whole application to another directory on my computer.
When I open the moved application (or do a checkout from subversion), I open the jsf that contains a reference to the jar, the design view is completely blank. Going to the source, I see my original code, but there are red signals in the upper-right signifying an error.
If I run the application without fixing it, I get an error saying the template cant be found, Also, when I deployed to a standalone weblogic server, I get the same error (see the post above for this error).
I open the project properties. The ADF Library is in the "Libraries and Classpath" and pressing edit, I can see the correct reference to the path of the jar.
To make the application work, I have to remove the ADF Library (or at least the reference when pressing edit) and then from the resource palette, add it again to the project.
IS THIS NORMAL? Am I doing something wrong with the initial packaging of the jar? Should I change some setting somewhere?
How am I supposed to deploy to weblogic?
The other posting shows an error output if I try to run the application before fixing the jar reference. I got the same darn error when deploying to weblogic.
    Would appreciate any help!

    Timo,
thank you for your reply. I actually created a youtube video on this, available here: http://youtu.be/ERyLngq9hlI
Since the video might be a little tedious to view, Here are the details. You can jump to the exciting parts of the video, if you want:
    Here is what I did:
    1. I cleaned out my system directory and the temp directory on my computer.
    2. Opened the application containing my template. Deleted the existing jar file.
    3. Started taking video....
    4. (From 40 seconds into the video) Created the jar file again.
    5. (2:55 minuts into video) Closed template applcation and Created new fusion application.
    6. (4 minutes into the video) Created model
    7. (4:15 minutes into video) in view controller added template, created a jsf page.
    8. (5 minutes into the video) Created Security and users.
    9. (6:30 minutes into the video) Created a task flow, with jsff in it, with a form on the jsff. Assigned Security to objects.
*10. (7 minutes into the video). Ran JSF successfully.*
    11. (7:40 minutes into the video). Closed application. Copied the entire application into two directories.
    12. (8 minutes into video) Opened the first copied video. You can see that the jsf page is not accessing the template. Reviewed the View Controller project Libraries and classpath. Removed the library, re-added the jar from the resource palette. Worked fine.
    13. (9:30 minutes into video). Opened the 2nd copy of the file I intend for subversion. Showed the jsf page and the error it displays when open (same as in first copied application).
    Load application into subversion.
    14. (10 minutes into video). Check out application
    15. (10:15 minutes into video). Open JSF file. The reference to the template jar file is reading properly.
    16. (11 minutes into video). Load the original working copy into subversion.
    17. (11:30 minutes into video). Check out from subverion, but the check out failed.
    18. (12 minutes into video). Check out, and look at the jsf.  The page shows fine.
Timo, I think this might be reported as a bug. You ought to be able to move files around on your computer. Also, the first time I checked the application out from subversion, the jsf page did not read the template.
ALSO, when I tried to deploy the application (that contained the reference to the template jar file to weblogic), I got the same error when I ran the jsf
    first lines of that error:
    Error 500--Internal Server Error
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /WEB-INF/ssfTemplate/SSFTemplate.jsf Not Found in ExternalContext as a Resource
    at com.sun.faces.facelets.impl.DefaultFaceletFactory.resolveURL(DefaultFaceletFactory.java:224)
Thank you for your time and commitment!

  • Error: "failed to load book because the requested resource is missing"

I book a book via the iPad. The book appeared in my library no problem with the "new" tag and stuff, but when I tap it to read I get an error "failed to load book because the requested resource is missing." Any ideas? I'm on the road, so I haven't synced or backed up or anything..
I've also verified that I have a good connection, etc. I'm able to hit the "store" button and browse the store no prob, as well as web, etc.
    Any thoughts?

I believe I may have the answer to these many concerns.
When a book is over 20 or so megs, iBook will sometimes make an attempt to download on the iPad (when it should not). This causes problems. Perhaps the one you are experiencing. Therefore you have to wait until you are on a wifi connection before purchasing dictionary-like books. But if you've already made the mistake of downloading, theres no guarantee wifi will correct this.
What worked for me (like others have already mentioned) is that if you have an iphone or touch you can download it from there, sync with your computer and sync your iPad later. The book(s) will transfer just fine as long as you have this enabled on your devices.
Initially this didn't work for me because in my frustration with a prior issue I took the liberty to create another iTunes account. Therefore iPad purchases were not visible on my phone. So be sure to have the same accounts activated on your devices and iTunes.
Yet even further diagnostics may need to be explored as I'm still prompted to provide my password every time i open iBooks (as if the download is still pending). Kinda afraid to revert to factory settings over a small issue. In the coming update Apple should fix these problems altogether. Hope this helps!

Swipe to the right from your home screen and do a search. See if the app shows up. If it does - tap on it just to make sure that it works.
You can swipe from screen to screen to look for it in order to find the icon. It may have ended up on a far off screen or in a folder somewhere on the iPad.

My iBooks will not open, I receive a message that states: "Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing." How can this be repaired/resolved?

If you can't open a particular ibook then try deleting it from the bookshelf via the Edit button at the top right of the bookshelf, and (assuming that it's still in your country's store) redownload it via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the app (or if you have a copy of it on your computer's iTunes library sync it back from there).

  • My iBooks were fine yesterday, today unable to read, message comes up; failure to load book because requested resource is missing".  What do they want?

My iBooks were fine yesterday, today unable to get into book, message comes up, "failure to load book because requested resource missing"
It doesn't tell me what resource is missing, & why could I read this 12 hours ago fine.

I've got a solution, it's not so perfect, but i bet someone would come out with a better one based on mine.
    Solution:
Step 1: close iBooks app and delete all existing book data
Since I have recently lost all files in my ibooks library due to something wrong with Time Machine backup, I could delete all my book data without anything to worry about.
    I deleted all files in:
    /Users/[usename]/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBoo ks
and the iBook configuration files (well, the whole folder):
    /Users/zlw/Library/Containers/com.apple.iBooksX
It doesn't matter if you have deleted the whole iBooksX folder, what you would lose at most is the bookmark data, etc.
deleting all the files inside the iBooks folder of BKAgentService will enable you to redownload the file that you want correctly.
    Step 2:
reopen iBooks and you will be able to download the book that you want.
    Possible improvement:
there is a Books.plist file in the iBooks folder of BKAgentService, it might be possible to modify the plist and and the folders so that it's not necessary to delete them all.

    Hello Akiva 1959,
It sounds like you have made some purchases in iBooks, and when you try to download them you get this error message that the resource cannot be found. I would report this issue to our iTunes Store support directly with this article:

To report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase, follow these steps:
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.

  • To load book because the requested resource is missing."  Thanks

I just purchased my firt e-book from itunes, but when I went to open it up, the book wouldn't open...it says "failed to load book because the requested resource is missing."  Help and Thanks!

I have tried deleting and redownloading  a few times and still won't work.  At one point, I had two icons for the same book, both acting in the same manner.  This is just one of many issues I am having with iPad mini. Do you have another suggestion for fixing this?

On iBooks app on iPad: When trying to open a previously purchased and read book, I get the message "Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing."    How can I open the book again?      Larry107

Quit the iBooks app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logou appears and let go of the button.
Or try deleting the book and download it again. You can download it again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID.
If that doesn't work either, sometimes deleting the iBooks app and reinstalling it may work. But art with the first two suggestions.

  • HT3951 "Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing"

I get "Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing" after I purchased an ibook, downloaded it, and tried to open it, all done on my iphone.
Has anyone experienced this problem? How was it resolved?

In fact, iBooks is so slow and unresponsive on a 3G that I don't understand why Apple released it for that device. Books take up to 15 seconds to open. I did find a way to stop the "resource is missing" warning (written in Microsoft-ese, worryingly): I simply tried to open every other book until successful, then went back and opened the one that did not open in the first place. The warning seems related to bookmark sync, but I am only guessing about that.
iOS 4 clearly needs a bug fix in many areas: iBooks, Mail retrieval (which on some devices cycles forever), iTunes backup / restore (where many apps and preferences don't make it back into the phone), general speed and usability on the 3G, whose processor / RAM just can't handle the new software.

  • Ipad failed to load book because the requested resource is missing

ipad failed to load book because the requested resource is missing ? any ideas what to do ?

This happened to me also when I was away from home. To fix it you have to delete the iBooks app, turn off your iPad. When you are back home are at your original source where you downloaded iTunes (mine was my home computer) redownload iBooks on your iPad.  It will come back up with all your purchases, go to the book you want to read, tap it, and it will download on your iPad.  The key is you have to be back where you originally downloaded your iTunes.  Hope this works for you.
