Resource string for panel collection bug?

Hi all,
Resource string af_panelCollection.LABEL_STATUSBARITEM_SELECTED_ALL for panel collection doesn't work.
I believe this one is misspelled because all other resource strings that I use work fine.
Does anyone know real resource string for this?

Hi,
this string seems to be missing in PanelCollectionRenderer.class. I'll file a bug

  • BUG-REPORT resource string for panelCollection

    Hi all,
    As by [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E24382_01/apirefs.1112/e17497/toc.htm]documentation af_panelCollection.LABEL_MENUIEM_COLUMNS_SHOWMORECOLUMNS key is for "Show more columns..." menu item in view menu, but key doesn't work.
    I noticed spelling error in MENUIEM and tried with MENUITEM instead, but that also doesn't work.
    Does anyone know working key?
    Thanks in advance.

    Sorry,
    after cleaning my adf application and restarting it, key af_panelCollection.LABEL_MENUITEM_COLUMNS_SHOWMORECOLUMNS (with fixed spelling error MENUIEM) works Ok.

  • Panel collection with auto height for different screen resolution

    Hi.
    I created a page using panel collection by default height for 1024 * 768 screen resolution and works fine. When I change the screen resolution to 1152 * 864 then my page layout changes as I can see lot more space at bottom due to fixed height define for panel collection.
    Here my question is how to make height as dynamic for panel collection which can changed based on screen resolution. Usually percentage for height attribute resolve the issue but JDev 11.1.1.4.0 doesn't support percentage its allows only pixel or em.
    Please let me know to resolve this issue.
    Thanks

    If you want a table to occupy 80% of the height of the screen you should be able to do this with assigining % to the various panelStretch facets - like this:
        <af:form id="f1">
          <af:panelStretchLayout id="psl1" topHeight="10%" bottomHeight="10%">
            <f:facet name="bottom">
              <af:spacer width="10" height="1" id="s2"/>
            </f:facet>
            <f:facet name="center">
              <af:panelCollection id="pc1">
                <f:facet name="menus"/>
                <f:facet name="toolbar"/>
                <f:facet name="statusbar"/>
                <af:table var="row" rowBandingInterval="0" id="t1">
                  <af:column sortable="false" headerText="col4" id="c1">
                    <af:outputText value="#{row.col4}" id="ot1"/>
                  </af:column>
                  <af:column sortable="false" headerText="col5" id="c2">

                  </af:column>
                </af:table>
              </af:panelCollection>
            </f:facet>
            <f:facet name="start"/>
            <f:facet name="end"/>
            <f:facet name="top">

  • Skinning resource string problem

    Hi
    jdev 11.1.1.5
    There are some message that not have any key in http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/components/skinningKeys/inputFile.jspx
    and show in client side without postback like when the inputfile is too large in af:inputFile and required message "A value is required" above the message box of required?
    how can I change this message?
    what is the key for this kind of message???

    Hi,
    the "A value is required" ma ynot come from the component but a validator (though from the top of my head I don't know the skin resource string for this). However, I suggest (if you have a support contract) to file a service request and get missing selectors provided

  • No provision to provide Tool tip for Default Panel Collection Components

    "View" is a default menu item provided by Panel Collection Component. The "shortDesc" property can set the tool tip for entire panel collection.
    How to set the tool tip specifically for the default components given by panel collection component ?

    Hi,
    panel collection labels and tool tips can be changed through skinning See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/apirefs.1111/e15862/toc.htm and search for af:panelCollection and go to the Resource String section. So far the good news. The bad news is that there is no skin selector to change the tool tip of the "View" menu option (though yo can change the label through af_panelCollection.LABEL_MENU_VIEW). If you need this, please file an enhancement request through customer support.
    Frank
    Ps.: Skinning is documented here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/b31973/af_skin.htm#BAJFEFCJ

  • Implementing Detach(as in Panel Collection)like functionality for Bar Graph

    I have created a jsff containing horizontal stacked bar graph through collection model.I have not used any VOs ,but I have created an ArrayList in which I send the values to be shown in the graph by fetching data through jdbc call.
    Now I want the graph to be displayed in a pop up through a link in the jsff so that the data can be viewed in larger screen area,similar to the funnctionality of 'detach' in the panel collection.
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.6 and WLS 10.3.6
    Please suggest a mechanism to achieve this.Any help on this issue is appreciated.

    Hi Saif Kamaal
    The Use Case :
    i. When the page is initially rendered , a bar graph will be shown in a region.
    ii. That region will contain a button ,which on clicking willl bring the graph in the entire page as popup (Similar to the detach functionality in Panel collection,where a table is rendered and clicking on detach brings the table on entire screen)
    I have developed the graph as jsff and that is added to a jspx page and I need that button,if possible, in the jsff itself.

  • Adding elements to a Dialog after it's been created using a resource string

    I can add elements using add but not with a resource string.
    The following works in ExtendScript Toolkit but not in Photoshop. Any idea why?
    var window_res = "dialog { \
         orientation: 'row', \
         alignChildren: 'top', \
         preferredSize: [500, 500], \
    var btnPnlResource = "Panel { \
         orientation:'row', \
         text: 'Build it', \
         testBtn: Button { text:'Test' }, \
         buildBtn: Button { text:'Build', properties:{name:'ok'} }, \
         cancelBtn: Button { text:'Cancel', properties:{name:'cancel'} } \
    var w = new Window(window_res, 'Testing');
    w.panel = w.add(btnPnlResource);
    w.show();
    The error I'm getting is Server Interface error "
    As a side note: I copied the code from Javascript Tools Guide but I had to remove ""btnPnl: " from the beginning of the btnPnlResource string. Otherwise you get "btnPnl: is unknown or invalid in this context" error.

    Actually Paul, it doesn't look like its the bounds that make your code work. Just changing the P in Panel to lowercase p does the trick:
    var btnPnlResource = "panel { \
         orientation:'row', \
         text: 'Build it', \
         testBtn: Button { text:'Test' }, \
         buildBtn: Button { text:'Build', properties:{name:'ok'} }, \
         cancelBtn: Button { text:'Cancel', properties:{name:'cancel'} } \
    That must be a bug, no?

  • Inqmy resource adapter for SAP with Bea Weblogic Server

              Hi everybody,
              Anybody have tried to use INQMY resource adapter for SAP with Bea weblogic server
              It works well with INQMY server, but with BEA I'm getting a lot of problems creating
              the connections.
              Thanks in advance.
              Xavi.

    All,
              Here are the steps we (used for internal testing) had to perform to get
              IN-Q-MY adapter for SAP to work with WebLogic:
              The wli.adapter.inqmy.sapr3.spi package contains extensions to the
              In-Q-My J2EE Connector Architecture classes to overcome some limitations
              in the base implementation classes. To get around these issues, we had
              to extend their R3ManagedConnectionFactory, R3ConnectionManager, and
              R3ConnectionFactory classes.
              * The javax.resource.spi.ManagedConnectionFactory implementation
              does not over-ride the equals and hashCode methods correctly. This
              causes problems with WLS 6.1.
              * There is a bug in their javax.resource.spi.ConnectionManager
              implementation for non-managed uses of the adapter. Consequently, their
              adapter cannot be used in a non-managed scenario.
              * The javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory class does not support
              the getConnection() method that does not take any arguments (it throws a
              null pointer exception).
              I am attaching the classes discussed above.
              Cheers,
              Chris

  • [svn:bz-trunk] 11030: Tweak the deserialization of ASObjects to treat an empty string for the type of an object as null .

    Date:     2009-10-20 11:35:02 -0700 (Tue, 20 Oct 2009)
    Log Message:
    Tweak the deserialization of ASObjects to treat an empty string for the type of an object as null. It appears that there is some logic in the LC remoting code that relies on a non-null class name to always exist. This change reverts to the old behavior of not allowing empty string as a value for the ASObject.namedType.
    This should fix bug 2448442 and its duplicates caused by the recent serialization changes.
    I don't think this is the perfect fix. Pending further investigation, a better fix would be either:
    a. If it's OK to assume that empty string should always mean null for the type of the ASObject, the code that enforces it should be in the setter/getter inside ASObject and not in the deserializer.
    b. ASObject doesn't guarantee that a named type exists or is valid. In that sense an empty string is as bad as some random characters that cannot be a valid class name in java, so depending on how disruptive it may be, the fix should be in any logic that uses ASObject.getType().

    Hi Pavan,
    "In your payload there is no namespace prefix for the elements under PayloadHeader element."
    Yes, you are right - but this message is standard AQ Adapter Header message - it's not defined by me. I just used message which was automatically added to my project when I have defined AQ Adapter.
    "In your process is the default namespace is same as namespace value of tns ??"
    Do you mean targetNamespace? If yes it's different as it points to process "targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/PF_SOA_jws/PF_APPS/APPS_PROCESS" (names of application and process have changed as I try different ways to do that)
    ns1 is: xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/aq/PF_SOA/PF_APPS/PO_AQ"
    "another thing is tns and ns1 should have same values.."
    When I create a variable of header type, namespace ns1 is automatically created for it. I set it as property of receive activity. When process is instantiated on the serwer I get the error in which you can see that namespace is tns.
    Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't see how I could fix this in my process.
    You can see that the message I get on the server has nothing in common with the application/project/process names. Is it possible to define such variable?
    Regards
    Pawel
    PS:
    In Transformation xsl file, both variables (source and target) has tns namespace for Header and PayloadHeader, and no namespace for subfields.

  • How to close the detach popup on click of a button in the panel collection

    Hi,
    I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0.
    I have an af table surrounded by panel collection. There is a button on panel collection to commit the changes in the table.
    Clicked detach button to view the table in full browser.
    On click of Commit button, the detach popup is not closed. I have set partialSubmit of that button to false. Then also detach popup is not closed.
    Can anybody suggest me how to close the detach popup on click of a button in the toolbar.
    Thanks,
    Vinod

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for your response. Popup is not closed.
    I tried this approach, when the view tree is navigated on the Detach, I see that the tree is same as if it is traversed on the page without detach.
    Printed client id and UI component class in the while loop, result is as below.
    r1:0:pc1:t3 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichToolbar
    r1:0:pc1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.output.RichPanelCollection
    r1:0:ph2 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichPanelHeader
    r1:0:pgl1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichPanelGroupLayout

    ps1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichPanelSplitter
    f1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.RichForm
    Tried with setting partialsubmit property to false on the command button, still the popup is not closed and my Faces Message are shown behind the detach popup.

  • Hyper-V Resource Pools for Memory and CPU

    I'm trying to understand the concepts and details of resource pools in Hyper-V in Windows Server 2012. It seems as if there is almost no documentation on all that. Perhaps somebody can support me here, maybe I've not seen some docs yet.
    So far, I learned that resource pools in their current implementation serve mainly for metering purposes. You can create pools per tenant and then group VM resources into those pools to facilitate resource metering per tenant. That is, you enable metering
    once per pool and get all the data necessary to bill that one customer for all their resources (without metering individual VMs). Is that correct?
    Furthermore, it seems to me that an ethernet pool goes one step further by providing an abstraction level for virtual switches. As far as I've understood you can add multiple vSwitches to a pool and then connect a VM to the pool. Hyper-V then decides which
    actual switch to use. This may be handy in a multi-host environment if vSwitches on different hosts use different names although they connect to the same network. Is that correct?
    So - talking about actually managing that stuff I've learned how to create a pool and how to add VHD locations and virtual switches to a pool. Enabling resource metering for a pool then collects usage data from all the resources inside that pool.
    But now: I can create a pool for memory and a pool for CPU. But I cannot add resources to those. Neither can I add a complete VM to a pool. Now I'm launching a VM that belongs to a customer whose resources I'm metering. How will Hyper-V know that it's
    supposed to collect data on CPU and memory usage for that VM?
    Am I missing something here? Or is pool-based metering only good for ethernet and VHD resources, and CPU and memory still need to be metered per VM?
    Thanks for clarification,
    Nils

    Thank you for the links. I already knew those, and unfortunately they are not matching my question. Two of them are about Windows Server 2008/R2, and one only lists a WMI interface. What I'm after is a new feature in Windows Server 2012, and I need conceptional
    information.
    Thanks for the research anyway. I appreciate that a lot!
    In the meantime I've gotten quite far in my own research. See my entry above of January 7th. Some additions:
    In Windows Server 2012, Hyper-V resource pools are mainly for metering purposes. You cannot compare them to resource pools in VMware.
    A resource pool in Hyper-V (2012) facilitates resource metering and billing for VM usage especially in hosting scenarios. You can either measure resource usage for single VMs, or you can group existing resources (such as CPU power, RAM, virtual hard disk
    storage, Ethernet traffic) into pools. Those pools will mostly be assigned to one customer each. That way you can bill the customer for their resource usage in a given time period by just querying the customer's pool.
    Metering only collects aggregated data with one value per resource (i.e. overall CPU usage, maximum VHD storage, summed Ethernet traffic and so on). You can control the time period by explicitly resetting the counter at any given time (a day, a week, a
    month or what you like).
    There is no detailed data. The aggregate values serve as a basis for billing, not as monitoring data. If you need detailed monitoring data use Performance Monitor.
    There is currently only one type of resource pool that adds an abstraction layer to a virtualization farm, and that is the Ethernet type. You can use that type for metering, but you can also use it to group a number of virtual switches (that connect to
    the same network segment) and then a VM connected to that pool will automatically use an appropriate virtual switch from the pool. You need no longer worry about virtual switch names across multiple hosts as long as all equivalent virtual switches are
    added to the pool.
    While you can manage two types of pool resources in the GUI (VHD pools and Ethernet pools) you should only manage resource pools via PowerShell. Only there will you be able to control what happens. And only PowerShell provides a means to start, stop, and
    reset metering and query metering data.
    The process to use resource pools in Hyper-V (2012) in short:
    First create a new pool via PowerShell (New-VMResourcePool). (In case of a VHD pool you must specify the VHD storage paths to add to the pool in the moment you create the pool.)
    In case of an Ethernet pool add existing virtual switches to the pool (Add-VMSwitch).
    Reconfigure existing VMs that you want to measure so that they use resources from the pool. The PowerShell
    Set-VM* commands accept a parameter -ResourcePoolName to do that. Example:
    Set-VMMemory -VMName APP-02 -ResourcePoolName MyPool1
    Start measuring with Enable-VMResourceMetering.
    Query collected data as often as you need with Measure-VMResourcePool.
    Note that you should specify the pool resource type in the command to get reliable data (see my post above, Jan 7th).
    When a metering period (such as a week or a month) has passed, reset the counter to zero with
    Reset-VMResourceMetering.
    Hope that helps. I consider this the answer to my own question. ;)

    Hi
    I am using jdev 11.1.2.3.0
    I added toolbar component to the toolbar Facet of panel collection component .
    Under the tool bar I added two command link components with name create and delete,
    the problem is at run time the buttons are not rendering properly,they are hiding,instead of links
    this symbol(>>) is displaying.
    On clicking the symbol,I am able to see the links,I used <af:spacer> after the links but not worked.
