Responding to a Notification that was previously responded to

I am having a problem with Workflow not sending out a notification if someone tries to respond to a notification that has already been responded to.
The workflow documentation says that "If you send an invalid response, the Notification System sends you an "invalid response" message. If you respond to a notification that has been canceled, you get a message informing you that the notification was canceled. Similarly, if you respond to a notification that was already previously responded to, you get a message informing you that the notification is closed. "
I am not getting this message informing that the notification is closed.

dbMiller... if I understand you correctly, you've got two sites loaded in your iWeb page. One is above the other in the SITE ORGANIZER on the left of the screen. If this is accurate, drag the one on the bottom to the top by clicking on it, holding down, and moving your mouse so that the bottom site is on top. When you publish, iWeb publishes both sites, but you only see the top one.
To fix having to do this every time, and reloading both sites each time, you need to create a new account in system preferences. Once you have the NEW account up and your running in it, open iWeb create 1 page, save it, then close iWeb and GO BACK to your other account. (this creates an iWeb folder and domain file in the new account.) When your back in the other account... follow this path
hard disk/users/user name/library/application support/iWeb/domain.
Duplicate this file by clicking on it once and then going to FILE/DUPLICATE
Drag this file to your new account, follow the path listed for the domain file above but use your new user account name, drop the file in the iWeb folder replacing the domain file you created when you opened iWeb in the new account.
Now... open iWeb in one account and delete one of the sites. Open iWeb in the other account and delete the other site.
You now have two sites, in different domain files, and can publish and edit them easily.
This is a work around until Apple fixes the two domain on one Mac account thing in a release that will probably come out soon we're all hoping.

Unless the drive is in a format that isn't compatible with Time Machine, the files will not be overrwitten. However it is typically a better idea to keep your files and your backup separate, especially since files on the Time Machine drive will not be backed up by Time Machine.

Drive Preparation
1. If you are preparing an external or a non-startup drive, then open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.

I have been trying to use the NI PXI-5610 RF upconverter (associated with a NI PXI-5441) with VIs that were previously working, including the NI GPS toolkit and RFSG example VIs. However, with the same setups as were working previously and the examples every time I now receive the following error

power protection circuitry of the device. Either the output signal exceeded the
output power limit, or power was being driven back into the output of the device

I have tried restarting, allowing 30 minutes warmup time before trying to use the RFSG and ensuring that the chassis fans are set to high with no change in the result.
I have also tried doing a self test on the RFSG unit in MAX which fails with error 200020.

Ok, well we can take the first steps via this forum post. If we need to RMA the PXI-board we can follow up on the created service request.
First I want to start troubleshooting the Self Test error.
I have attached a application which goes through all of the tests separately so we can determine where this error is coming from. Please run all of the test provide by this application.

Is there a way to backup the iphone without entering a passcode that was previously set?

I have a passcode on my iphone, which I recently dropped. Both the front and back screens are cracked severely. I can see when someone txts / calls, so the phone appears to be working, however it is not usable. I cannot access anything on the phone using the touch screen. The screen continues to shake as if there are multiple fingers trying to operate it at once.
Although it would be nice to get back into the phone, I would prefer being able to back it up just one more time. I sync frequently to icloud, but the last time I backed it up to my pc was 11/16/2011. I can access everything I've backed up(txts, images, etc via other applications), but I have some important correspendeces that took place between then and now that I would like to have.
Is there way for me to backup the phone without entering the passcode? Also, I have read through some of the discussions, and pardon my ignorance but I wanted an unequivocal answer to this question: If I restore the phone from the backup of 11/16, will I lose everything after that date? And, are there other alternatives?
I have tried some things which I thought would be clever ways to bypass this problem, but alas...here I am asking for help. I find it frustrating that I can sync to icloud (still) yet I cannot backup to my pc without passcode. I guess a good alternative would be if I could access my txts on icloud? I may consider replacing the screen, but I don't know if this will fix the problem since the phone looks pretty bad. I also prefer not to replace the screen since I wont be using this phone any longer.
Your comments / suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Restoring a phone from a backup will put the device back to the state it was when the backup took place, i.e. all info that you had on that phone before using the backup will be gone.
You could try to restore the phone, which will back up the actual data on the phone, including the passcode, and use this backup to set up a new phone with. The passcode will still be the same, because it is part of the backup.

Not being able to fill in the passcode is not much different from forgetting it.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

Just make her a new AppleID - https://appleid.apple.com
On her device, log out of iMessage with your AppleID, then log back in with her new AppleID. For iCloud, first go into the iCloud account settings and disable find my iPhone, then delete the iCloud account. Now add a new iCloud account using her new AppleID.
You both can continue to use the same AppleID in the iTunes and App stores if you wish to share purchases. If not, just scroll to the bottom of the feature page in the store, log out with your AppleID and log back in with her AppleID (she will need your AppleID and password to update anything purchased with your AppleID though).

After I clear the history I have to re-log in (even "my yahoo" homepage) to certain sites and reconfirm my identity , and videos on web sites require me to download a plug-in that was previously installed .

On the days I don't clear the history, My yahoo opens up with me logged in. Also when I go to games sites or facebook, I am logged in. Not the case after I clear the hist. Also I am required to request an ID code via email and wait for a phone call to receive it so I can access my bank account after I clear the hist. Am prompted to "click here to download a required plugin" on sites I frequent with no trouble. I click and the plugin can't be found, and no info regarding which plugin it is. First time it happened, a different site had the same problem, but my click resulted in an automatic download. This time I gave up and used IE.

Well, after hours of trying to figure it out I gave up and un-installed and re-installed that last verion of Adobe Flash Player and now it seems I can play games again in Messenger. Everything else had been fine just that. I can only figure it was because it was having a hard time updating the first time and took me 3 tries. So even though it said it was installed, apparently it wasn't done correctly.
Though when I couldn't figure out what was wrong at first I looked and checked to see all the things were enabled that were supposed to be and they were.
I even tried to go to the Adobe site and download the last version I had and couldn't find it. Kept coming up with the new version. Others said if you download a particular older version it may not have all the security features in it.
This really gets to be a bit much, especially when you're by yourself and have only a smattering of knowledge of technical things.

I just installed Mountain Lion on my iMac that was previously running Snow Leopard. Bugt I found that some key applications no longer work, so I would like to go back to snow Leopard. I can't use time machine backups for this. what can I do?

I just installed Mountain Lion on my iMac. But In was dismayed to find that my Canon scanner software (Canoscan LIDE500F)no longer works. Nor do any of my MS offce applications. I tried to use time machine to reinstall Snow Leopard (my previous operating system), but unfortunately my time machine backups did not include system software. Also, the original system install disk that came with my iMac would not allow me to install Snow Leopard in place of Mountain Lion. I would appreciate it if somebody could tell me how to solve this problem.

The reason your Office doesn't work is because it is PowerPC code. If you will upgrade the 2004 Office to 2011 Office then that will work.
I don't understand how you managed to get your Time Machine backup to not backup the system.
Now if you still what to downgrade you will have to erase the disk and reinstall Snow Leopard. Most likely all of your application and then restore your data from Time Machine.
To me it sounds like it would be easier to upgrade your software and stay with Mountain Lion instead.

Numbers: how do I turn on the feature that fills the cell with typing. In the previous versions, I could type a name or word and then a list of names/words with the same letters would appear. I could choose the name/word to enter into the cell. This saved many strokes. If I was typing a word with only one like it previously entered, that word would appear, grayed, and I could simply tab to the next cell, automatically entering that word in that cell. Is this feature in this version of Numbers? The autofill tab 1)I can't turn it on and 2) it doesn't seem to do the same thing.

The developers failed to propagate that feature from version 2 to version 3. I believe it is on the short list of things to be restored in May 2014 or so.

How do I remove an app (family sharing) that was previously approved?

With Family Sharing, we find that the "approve purchase" feature is wonderful - but what if we approve an app that, later, we decide was a bad idea? I can't seem to find a way to permanently unapprove it - even after removing it, and "hiding" it in the purchases list for every user, it still shows up with the cloud download icon in the app store (i.e., it can be downloaded again without approval). I need this to be reverted so that, if the app was requested again, it asked the family organizer (me) for approval. Is there a way to do that? If it's important, my two girls both have iOS devices - but I'm approving the requests on a Mac.

If you've encountered the activation lock and previously associated that device with Apple Configurator, bypass it from there.
If you've encountered the activation lock but didn't associate that device with Apple Configurator, take it and its original purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store or otherwise contact Apple.

New iPod + account not showing up on a computer that was previously used with a DIFFERENT iPod and account

I'm very new to all things Apple, but not a computer/tech newbie...it's just that all my experience and knowledge has been aquired with Windows and Android. I received an iPod Touch 5th gen as a Xmas gift, and I'm (mostly) enjoying it...but I've hit the following problem:
About a year ago, a friend used iTunes on my computer (WinXP Pro) using HIS account/Apple ID, and connected HIS iPod to my PC to "sync" (I'm not sure what he was trying to accomplish, but my computer and his iPod were definitely conected via cable). He no longer needs to use my computer to access iTunes.
So, now I want to use MY iPod and iTunes account with the same computer that he used. My friend and I "authorized" my computer using my Apple ID, DE-authorized it using his, we signed him out, signed me in, (not necessarily n that order, heheh). BUT... in my iTunes library still show HIS apps, HIS books, and his iTunes-U courses. None of my apps/books/courses etc. appear in iTunes on my computer. (They ARE all on my iPod). I tried un-installing iTunes and re-installing the latest version, and that did not solve the problem.
I have heard or read, somewhere, that if I connect my iPod to a compter that has someone else's iTunes account on it, my iPod could be un-intentionally "sync'd" to that persons account, and I would lose my apps/music/etc and wind up with the other persons "stuff" on my device (I'm sure there are some subtleties to that that I'm clueless about). My hunch is that the solution lies somewhere in connecting MY new iPod to my computer, but I'm afraid of losing what I've already put on my iPod and/or messing up my friend's devices.

I followed the instructions in the link above (computer authorized, signed in under my account, & "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" enabled in iTunes preferences by going to iTunes > Preferences under the Store tab). However, none of MY "purchases" (all free apps, books, etc, so far) show up in the library...only my friend's. For what it's worth, when I try to open any of his books, a pop-up opens telling me that the book "can't be viewed using this computer. You can view this book using iBooks on your iOS device".

With iTunes 11 you may have to do a Control+B to show the Menu bar and a Control+S to show the Sidebar.
I have not tried these steps, given the status of the situation being unchanged so far.

Can someone please assisst we are leasing a mac desktop whoever had it previously set themselves as administrator and then when they returned it they didn't take themselves off so now then company we leased it from has no idea what the password is and we can't wipe it clean and start fresh as administrators or add accounts because we are not the administrators.

Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and erase the startup volume. This operation will destroy all data on the volume. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.

How do i replace the data that was previously on an iphone?

I connected my sister's iphone to a computer via USB to download some photos. Her husband's iphone data was on the computer. Instead of just presenting the option to open the folder to view files in trying to access her phone all of his data was downloaded to her phone. All of her contacts, settings etc are no longer there on her phone. Please help.

Thank you KiltedTim. She is not a typical "syncer" or computer/phone interface person so only a few times, if that, has her phone been "synced". And the time that I synced it I was not presented the option for anything related to her husband's phone so I highly did not expect anything but simply upload options. He possibly placed his info on her netbook since. Everytime that I have interfaced any phone to a computer, including hers, a Blackberry, a Samsung, etc., the screen that lists the options including "Open Folder to View Files" comes up automatically. My understanding of the system prompt to recognize her iphone as it did her husband's was that it would relate the iphone interface software for the upload not replace her data with his.
