As such there are no standard support actions, however I will try to list the following actions as support based upon my experience. Also you can categorise these actions for each application.
Compliance Calibrator
1. Background Job Scheduling based upon the requirement
2. Mapping of Business process
3. Mitigating Risks
4. Defining Org. rules
5. Constantly monitoring the SODs violations and doing the
needful
FireFighter
1. Assignment of FF Ids to users
2. Assignment of necessary authorizaitons to FF ids
3. Checking the logs regularly.
4. Reporting the same to higher level management
Role Expert
1. Role maintenance
2. Checking the Role Change History
Access Enforcer
1.Adding / Removing the applications from the list.
2.Checking the workflow
3.Checking the system logs
Above are the responsibilites I have experienced. I appreciate if any one else can add or change some more responsibilites!

No supported calendar application in iTunes for iPod Touch

Hello everyone,
Right now I'm having trouble syncing my calendar on my iPod touch. I'm using iTunes 7.4.3 and I have Outlook 2003 installed on my computer, but iTunes says "No supported calendar application can be found." in the Calendar section on the info tab. I've tried restoring my Touch several times, in addition to removing / reinstalling iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support several times, and now I'm at a loss.
The weird thing is, I had a 1st gen nano hooked up to this computer as well, and for that iPod, iTunes could detect Outlook just fine. I have no idea why this is happening with my iPod Touch. Any help?

I am facing your problem too. My iTunes seems do not recognize my Outlook 2002 SP3. I am using Traditional Chinese Edition on WinXP SP2 T.Chinese platform. Is it the cause of this problem? Hope that anyone can help us.

Logic 8 will probably run on your new machine but the installation program contains some older PPC code for pre Intel Macs. This was not a problem as all OSX versions contained the "Rosetta" PPC emulation, that is, up until Lion when all PPC emulation was dropped.
There are ways to do this however, try searching Google for: Installing Logic 8 under Lion or Mountain Lion.

R9 290 Gaming - MSIGamingApp: The platform does not support this application

Hey guys,
I have a MSI R9 290X Gaming 8G and can´t use the gaming app.
Whenever I try to run the app, I get an error: The platform does not support this application
So I guess I have the same problem as the dude in that thread:

He had the same issue with the R9 290X Gaming 4G. The problem was, someone flashed a sapphire vbios on his new card.
So can someone check the attached vbios rom, whether it is the right one for my card and not also a sapphire rom or something else?

Reduce downtime required for support patch application

Dear Experts,
I would like to know if there are any tips / notes we need to follow during application of
support patches to reduce the downtime window ( as during patch application , system is not
usable for normal users ) , any temparary parameter changes to Oracle RDBMS which we can
activate before appication of support patch and then revert the same once Patches are loaded
for normal Day operations.
Is there any note which talks specific settings which could enhance the performance
of support patch application process on Oracle RDBMS.

To my understanding if i select Downtime minimized some phases of Patch application could
be carried out when users are online and for others would get notified in SPAM for downtime
, so we just need to lock users and perform start for those rest of Import phases.
Yes this is correct, theoretically you can apply single patches with downtime minimized one after another. But this does not make a lot of sense obviously, because you will have several distinct downtimes then. So to apply one queue containing all packages is the way to go.
Regarding your questions on the benefits, i am afraid the answer here is: it depends, as for most performance tuning options you will have to test carefully if the are working.
For the db_cache_size consider:
- is my db_cache_size smaller than 1000M?
- do i have enough free memory on my server?
- am i seeing low buffer hit ratio while applying support packages?
If all questions are a yes, then i recommend you increase it to 2000M, it is easy to do. But if you don't have free memory on the server, then you will severly hurt performance by causing paging. If you don't have low buffer hit ratio (or you have lightspeed disks , then the tuning will not speed up anything.
As you see, you have options, but there isn't a single speed button that solves your problem.

Responsibilities missing in Oracle Applications

Hi,
I have a Production Environment of Oracle Application in 12.0.4.
After assigning certain responsibilities, we are not able to view those responsibilities after logging into application.
As per metalink note: 417439.1, I have followed the below steps, but with no luck.
1. Make sure that the latest ATG_RUP patch has been applied.
2. Run Concurrent Program System: Administrator Responsibility->Request->'Synchronize WF LOCAL tables'
3. Run Concurrent Program: 'Workflow Directory Services User/Role Validation'.
4. Restart the Workflow Agent Listeners: WF_DEFERRED and WF_JAVA_DEFERRED
I have also ran the Concurrent Program: "Workflow Directory Services User/Role Validation" twice. First time with the parameters 10000,Y,N,N and the second time with the parameters 10000,N,Y,N. Still no luck.
Any idea as to why this is happening? Could anyone please share some light on this issue?

Have you tried bouncing the Apache services ? Are these responsibilities seeded ones or custom ones ? Did this issue start recently ? Have you opened an SR ?
Pl see if MOS Doc 466135.1 (Responsibilities Missing After They Have Been Assigned to a User) can help, even though it is for 11i.

I just bought a 15" macbook pro and when I try to upload final cut pro it tells me that the power pc does not support the application any longer.. is there a solution to this problem, other to buy the program again?

Undoing changes made by support package application

Hi
Is there a way to undo changes made to repository objects and dictionay objects after you have imported a support package.
Let us consider this with an example. Let us assume that there is a standard SAP report called S1 v1. Which after a support package application and after confirming the queue it becomes S1 v2. Now if for some reason after say 2-3 days we are not comfortable with S1 v2 and want S1 v1 again can we get back the old standard SAP report. If so then how?
Also if there is a change made in a Dictionary object, is there a way to revert these changes on a similar line? Id so then how.

Hi Lokesh,
If you have maintained versions for perticular report then you can revert it back to the previous version.
Ask your ABAPer for the same.
You can always retrieve the previous version if you have maintained the version.
It is applicable for the dictionary objects too, but you may loose data in case of changing version for database tables.

I have a general question about MO / Multi-Organization Access Control (MOAC). For which Oracle Applications products is MO / MOAC supported? Is this supported for applications Inventory (INV), Bills of Material (BOM) and Engineering (ENG)?

The reason I'm asking this is to verify if I need to do anything in terms of MO/MOAC (e.g. calling MO_GLOBAL.init ...) when using the following APIs:
EGO_ITEM_PUB.PROCESS_ITEM, BOM_BO_PUB.PROCESS_BOM, ENG_ECO_PUB.PROCESS_ECO and BOM_RTG_PUB.PROCESS_RTG
In the "FAQ - Multiple Organizations (Multi-Org)", in question "5. What E-Business Suite products are directly using the Multi-Org feature?" none of the products INV, BOM, ECO and RTG is listed...
Moreover, I can't find any tables with suffix '_ALL' for these products...
So is it correct to conclude that I don't need to do anything for multi-org support (e.g. calling MO_GLOBAL.init ...) when using the above mentioned APIs?

ITunes 7.4.x - No supported calendar application found

After installing the latest version of iTunes 7.4.x I can't syncronise anything anymore. The Info page in Itunes is kinda blank - that is, there are no info in the dropdownboxes where you select which applications to sync with.
I am running Office 2003 SP2 and could syncing before the upgrade.
Somewhat strangly positioned on the Info tab in Itunes it says "No supported calendar application found". Looks like a debug textstring. However, an hour before it was able to easily see that i have Outlook 2003 installed.
I have no other addins or com addins running. I only see one Apple-add in running, but the scarse information posted by Apple on this forum tells me that thats how its done in the new version..?
Anybody has any feedback on this? Would be nice if the iPhone ... worked

The platform does not support this application, but does under other account

Okay the MSI Gaming App works just fine under my own account on my PC on which I am the administrator. So it isn't a driver related issue.
Last week I created a second account for my son as he also like to play some games but I dont want him messing up my account.
I wanted to start the MSI Gaming App on his account as my son was going to play a more graphic demanding game but the MSI Gaming App is only giving me the warning: the platform does not support this application.
I checked the Security and Permissions for Authentication they all set like they should which works fine for other software and applications.
Even when I try to run the app as administrator it keeps coming back with this warning.
Anyone got clue why? Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious but till now I still didn't get the MSI Gaming App to run like it should. Some help please.

My sons has his own profile/account on my pc so the hardware config and installed drivers are exact the same. And on my profile the App is working fine. So it has nothing to do with mobo/drivers/vga/specs. I already had installed the App before I created his own profile. I only would let Windows do exact the same as I did as administrator in the App Properties Security Tab. That the nice thing about being an admin. Create profile, set permissions and let users on your pc or network access software and applications already installed on the network. So that is why I find it weird this doesnt work.
Also running the MSIGamingApp as Administrator on his profile gives the exact same warning.
I do know how to add permissions to the security tab have been doing that several years for some job I had once.
I could use Afterburner maybe but I don't trust him yet with making changes in Afterburner.
The MSIGamingApp gives just enough controls OC-Gaming-Silent mode.
And in case of trying a re-install of the App anyone got an url for a new version?

Best combination of technologies for Java db-supported web application?

Hi everyone!
I was given the task to develop a Java database-supported web application and am now wondering what combination of technologies would best fit my requirements.
Basically, I am supposed to transform an "Excel-based" application into a Java-based web application that can be run in a browser in our intranet (I know, that's what a web application is supposed to do).
The Excel application consist of an Excel sheet that holds all the data and a VBA form, that shows and lets you edit all the details/fields of a row and lets you navigate through the rows. Furthermore there are certain macros to filter the data table.
Now, to transform the application, all data from Excel will be moved to an Oracle relational database and I want to rebuild the functionality with Java.
Consequently, the Java application is intended to...
- output the table as is in the browser
- easily let you filter the data of the table
- let you create (and save) custom filters
- show detail view of a row
- navigate through the rows of the (filtered) table
- save the data that is entered/edited/deleted in the detail view back to the table in the database
So, what are the best (and easiest to use) tools and technologies to develop such an application?
Currently my reasearch has led me to the following conclusions:
*1.* Architecture: I need a three-tier client-server application, which lead us to using the J2EE platform, right?
*2.* For the persistence layer I somehow have to map the database table to a Java object,
- either doing it completely manually (coding) using JDBC
- or using EJB3 / Java Persistence API / Hibernate to get at least the getters and setters auto-generated, right?
Please, correct me whenever i got something wrong!

*4.* What IDE would you recommend? Should have a WYSIWYG editor for the JSF files and should support me as much as possible as a Java Learner!

The whole thing is getting bigger than I thought...
Actually this is a 1-man-project, that I am supposed to realise for small department during my internship in a big company.
Maybe a more detailed description of the structure may help you to understand what I actually need.
The table of concern, is an overview of certain projects inside the company and read-only, as it is a view on another database uniting data relevant for the department.
Then there is a second table for additional data (specific for the department) for each project. This data has to be entered, modified, deleted with the new application, while the data from the first table is only displayed.
1) In this case, is AJAX / JavaScript still necessarily needed?
2) EJB and Hibernate sound like overkill to me as well, but what would be the alternatives? JDBC, SQL queries and rowSets? And are the first mentioned really so hard to use?
3) Do you have any recommendations on how to solve the multiple access problem (I'm sure, I'm not the only one with this kind of problem...)?
