Responsive Design not rendering for smartphone

Can anyone take a look and tell me why my code isn't rendering on a smartphone?

There is not a great deal of difference between the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 5, as far as the Safari iOS browser is concerned.
Are both phones updated to iOS 6 OS?
AP Elements, are not the best solution for responsive designs, (or any design for that matter) but they should still render. They may make it necessary to scroll the browser in order to view the page.
I was going to suggest that you also try the BC forum but on checking I see that you have already done so.
If you have Edge Inspect installed, can I suggest that you take screenshots of what you are seeing on both phones. and post these on this forum and the BC forum, as it may help us if we can see the exact difference between the two phones.

I am in the processing porting a J2EE based application deployed originally in OC4J to WLS. I am not changing anything as far as J2EE/Web configuration files such as web.xml. Whenever I hit the URL of the application, I am getting the below exception.
What does usually "java.io.FileNotFoundException: Response: '404: Not Found' for url...." indicate?
If you could please give me some pointers to narrow down the places to look, I would appreciate it.

5,000 responses is not enough for me.

5,000 responses for the plus upgrade is not enough for me. whats the next level up...?

Basically it is 5,000 max at a time per form, if you approach 5,000 and then "delete" 4,000 responses you can then recieve 4,000 more (to total 5,000 on the View Responses tab at any time). So to collect 15,000 you could either duplicate your form and have V1, V2, and V3, or you could export responses after collecting <5,000, delete those and continue to accept responses.

Sender adapter request response bean not working for calling a webservice

Hi All,
In PI 7.31, My scenario : SOAP sender Asynch-> PI -> HTTP Receiver Sync ->take response to call another webservice (SOAP)
I have configured request response bean and response one way bean in the sender adapter to make this work.
Attached the screenshot of the module config in the sender soap adapter. The final response from HTTP has to be used to call another webservice (not sender webservice)
This giving an error "couldn't retrieve binding values for sender to receiver etc etc ----------"
Has anyone configured response one way bean to call a webservice to submit? If so, please share the configuration details. And let me know if I am doing anything wrong

I think the adapter type is for the receiver channel looking at the documentation SAP Library - SAP Exchange Infrastructure
Have you checked your receiver channel doesn't belong to a party?
I havent tried this bridge with the http_aae but looks to be problematic according with Michal comment here http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2014/01/28/generic-pi-async-sync-bridge-configuration-for-any-adapters#comment-454463

Why responsibility is not show for my user?

Hi experts,
Recently i need to enable one responsibility(named as R below) for my user. As i examined, R is already assigned to the user but
it's expired, so i set the end date as null. Further more, i found that R itself has an expiration date and it has arrived, so i set it as null too.
Till now, i re-login my user and expect R shown on the left tree of home page. But it doesn't exist, really.
I guess there should be a concurrent request need be run but i can't figure this out. Appreciate your help.

If you are on R12, please see (Concurrent Processing - Concurrent Program "Sync Responsibility Role Data Into The WF Table" errors: Cannot Find File affurg02.sql [ID 727534.1]).
R12 is the EBS version i am using. From the note 727534.1, this concurrent program is obsolete and replaced by "Workflow Directory Services User/Role Validation".

'id' attribute is not rendered for h:column tag in datatable

The attribute "id" is set properly but isn't shown in html
because there is no html-element corresponding to UIColumn.

Image not rendering for html signature

I've created a CSS signature for my Mail signature (found at http://allforces.com/2006/04/14/css-signatures/) But no matter what I do the image (my logo) won't appear in the message. it's as if it can't find it on the machine. But when I open the file in Safari to create a webarchive, the image is rendering there. But when I save that webarchive and replace the signature file the image doesn't appear in the signature.
Anyone have any ideas?

ok I tried the instructions in that link and you are right, it is broken but it worked for me in one situation. If I create an html file using locally stored images and then convert it to a signature as outlined in this link it shows up correctly in the signature window in Mail prefs but the images don't show inside the message when i actually try to use the signature. Bummer.
However, when I made an html file using images stored remotely on a webserver, the effect was the opposite! The pictures didn't show in Mail prefs but they did work correctly in Mail composition window and on the recepient end. Very weird and certainly a bug but it's a semi workaround I guess.

Sharepoint dashboards not rendering for everyone

Help!! Finally have my SharePoint Dashboard web Part installed and configured. Now I'm having a very odd issue. It seems that on some PCs the dashboard will not render. It doesn't seem to follow the user as I have at least 1 user
that the dashboard works on his PC, but when he logs onto mine, it doesn't. It doesn't render for me either. It doesn't appear to be tied to Silverlight or IE version either. Its also not a permissions thing as all my users already are either
console operators or scom sdmins already. Anyone have any ideas?

Is the browser IE on both occasions? I have had a similar issue with the webparts where it doesn't work on Mozilla - intermittently. i guess due to the silver light support issue. What is the error you get when launching the dashboard?- " An unexpected error
has occurred" - security connection session exception?? or permission related.
Also have you setup 'secured store credentials'? if yes, you could verify the secured store settings in the central administration..but since you mentioned it works for some user, strange though.
I am currently doing SharePoint web part integration for SCOM 2012, so It will be helpful if you post the error you get while loading the dashboards..or if it's just the page is blank!!

That was what I initially thought. However I was informed that if the invoice is not for the originally determined amount that to post the invoice means having to change the PO, and changing the PO appears to hit the same business transaction as creating a PO, and so we get the error mssage.
The issue is that we may know we need to have services estimated at, say, $5.000. But we do not know what the actual final invoice will be. So the actual amount may end up being $4,500 or $5,500 as an example, and it may come ni late from the vendor. The Purchse Order side is not my expertize, but I am being informed that the invoice must match the PO amount, otherwise the PO must be ammended to match. As the order is in TECO, the user cannot amend the PO.
I would be happy to know of other options, or at least good questions to ask. I want the end user to be able to post the invoice against the PO, after the order is in TECO, even it the invoice amount is not exactly the same as what was originally anticipated.

Designing and rendering for output on an HD LCD monitor 16:9

I've just completed an animation at 720 x 480 pixels.
I made sure that all my images imported were larger than I needed, just in case.
I need this to be played on a 42 inch monitor 1080 p.
I just realized that 720 x 480 is going to be pixelated on that size.
what output settings do I need to choose to make it look good on 42 inch plasma 1080p
If this is a dumb question I'm sorry, then please point me to some tutorials. All I can find are tutorials on how to do whiz bang effects, there aren't many simple ones for stuff like this.

It depends on what device you will use (ie, connect to the LCD TV) to feed the content.
Widescreen DVDs are always 720x480 anamorphic (like the NTSC DV Widescreen preset in AE), and if all other variables are good (source material, encoding, etc), they can and do look terrific. Contrary to popular belief, there evidently are other aspects to image quality, besides pure pixel count.
If you want better than that and send HD video to your TV or monitor, it can't be a DVD. A DVD-Video disc is always standard definition. So, it has to be a Blu-Ray disc, or hook-up a computer display output to the LCD TV, or use one of the very affordable HDMI-capable media players (such as the Western Digital TV, or Popcorn Hour, for example).
In all of these cases, you can pick the HDTV 1080 Composition preset in AE, with the frame rate you need. The resulting Composition will be 1920x1080 with square pixels.
For Blu-Ray output you need an authoring application like Adobe Encore and a Blu-Ray burner (and player, obviously).
To send HD video from a media player like the the WD TV, or from a computer hooked up to your TV, you usually want to encode a high-bitrate H264 or MPEG-2 video file.
Since this is too broad in reach, once you figure out which route you want, let us know and we'll try to help with the details.

Typekit and responsive design

But How can I make the typekit font work, I added je JQ stuff in the heading but with teh CSS it disn't work. Where do I need to put it, in which css file?

For the Photoshop problem, are you exporting from Photohop to an RFLW file or are you importing an open PSD in Reflow? Have you tried both methods and do they both have the same problem or does one always work and the other is flaky? Given that it has worked a few times it sounds like everything is at least installed correctly.
Problem 2, Typekit not working on localhost. Did you add "localhost" to you kit settings and then publish those changes? Also does the url in the preview start with http://localhost:8008/" ? The url in the preview needs to match the url in your browser. You can follow all the listed on this blog post: http://blogs.adobe.com/edgereflow/2014/01/31/using-typekit-fonts-with-reflow/
Problem 3 is related to Problem 2. The issue is when you're device connects to to your computer as the websever, typekit does't see you computer as an authored user of your fonts. The devices ins't connecting to "localhost" but using whatever the ip address of you computer is on teh network. If you want to preview the fonts you either need to add your computers IP address to your kit settings or put the preview up on a server that your kit allows.
When you are done please post your experience using the Photoshop import on your project. You can either start a new post or reply to a post we are running about people using Photoshop, http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1392173?tstart=0. We're looking into improving the import experience so your feedback here is really appreciated.

Responsive Design or Elastic Pages

I am putting together a new web site and I realize the importance of having options for desktop, tablet and smartphone users.
However, I am not bothered about the smartphone side of things, but I would like to be able to show my site on tablets as well as desktop monitors. I would normally design within a container that is 960 px wide. I have a feeling I am pretty safe for tablets using this size. I know I am not catering for smartphone users, nor do I want to. I just don't want to be bothered having to cater for various devices.
Am I risking any penalty from the search engines apart from the probability that my site won't be included in searches resulting from smartphone devices. Are there any other hidden snags that might be lurking?
Should I use elastic pages.
Any thoughts or comments on this please.

Slideshow transitions not rendering

On a disk with 5 slideshows, the transitions were not rendered for the latter part of a single slideshow. Those transitions were "green screen."
Hard drive has over 25 GB free.
Everything else seems fine.

There has been a problem in slideshows with more that 99 images. Slides in a slideshow are treated as chapters, and a sloideshow s a track. Tracks are limited to 99 chapters and until iDVD 6, all iDVD slideshows were limited to 99 slides. Apple crated somethong of a 'hack' in iDVD 6 that makes it possible to link together several tracks creating a slideshow of more than 99 images. The problem is, not all DVD playrers like the hack and fail/refuse/have problems in trying to play long slideshows.
As far as the image quality,DVD are low resolution devices. NTSC DVDs are less than 0.3 megapixels. See Preparing images for DVD slideshows at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/6.0/en/17.html for suggested images sizes to be used in iDVD slideshows.
For long slideshows, create them as movie in iPhoto or iMovie. Many of us like Photo to Movie or FotoMagico (which I use).
