Restart a Loopback recording w/o overdubbing

Hello,
I am new to Mainstage and hope you can help.
I am looking for a midi mapping to delete and restart a Loopback recording (i.e. no overdubbing).
Your help is very much appreciated.

I've been able to set one pedal or button to clear the recorded loop and a different pedal or button to turn record on and off. Maybe this will work for you. There may be other parameters n the screen control inspector that you'll find useful. The examples below are assigned to an instrument cahnnel strip, but you should be able to do the same with an audio channel strip.
In the first screenshot you'll see that the pedal in the upper right corner has been selected(while in edit mode).  On the screen control inspector, Steinway Grand Piano(channel strip 1) is selected. To the right, Loopback is selected.
In the next screenshot, move the screen control  inspector tthe right to assign Loopback parameters. This one is set to transport> clear.
In the next two screenshots a second pedal is assigned to record.
