Restart error status workflow

Hello All,
We have few workflow items with status error due some missing agents. we have assigned the agents.
Now user asking us to restart or retrigge the same workflow item .
But when I tried to restart using SWIA getting message like ' Workflow cannot be restarted in status ERROR'
Is ther any possibility to restart ? If it's not how to get the same material name to reuse ....

Hi,
1. You can restart the same workflow by using the Transcation SWPR
2. If you the problem still exists then please re-trigger the new workflow and delete the error workflow.
   a. Please use transaction SWUS_WITH_REFERENCE to trigger the new workflow where you need to pass the workflow
       instance number
b. You can also use transaction SWUS to trigger the workflow where you need to pass all the required workflow container
      element values
Note : while using SWUS_WITH_REFERENCE all the required values will be fetched from the workflow instance number. No need to pass manualy.

SAP PI Message Cancellation Alert - Message does not have restartable error status

Version: 7.1
Scenario: File --> PI -->SOAP
We have a situation where a PI message in Integration Engine shows error status.We want to cancel the message in IE but are unable to do so.
On clicking Cancel for this message in SXMB_MONI, we are receiving an alert "Message does not have restartable error status".
In SXMSPMAST table, value for ITFACTION is DEL.
We do not want to run report RSXMB_DEL_TO_ARCH, that would change status of all messages with DEL status to ARCH.
Is there a way to Cancel or Change the Status of this single message?

Hi Hareesh,
Tried that too, but to no avail.
Strangely, the log shows NO_ERROR_STATE for the cancelation of this message thru RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES.
But in SXMSPMAST table the status of this message is 14 (System Error - Manual Restart Possible).

Restarting Error Workflows in Production Environment

Hi Experts,
I m having an issue in the prod enviroment there are some error workflows because of the error issued by the function in a method which i used in a workflow step.Know i have trapped that error .And i tried to restart the workflows by using SWPR.
Still the workflow is going to error status.
Please advice.

Status Workflow in error

Hi gurus
I have created a workflow with 3 subworkflows, I use custom method to find agents, and I manage return not equal 0 to advise an amministrator that something was wrong.., ok but Now The Client ask me to advise ok but also having the possibility to restart workflow. I know how restat workflow but I don't know how setting status error in workflow and send a sapmail to administrtator (both steps..)
can someone help me?

I try to create an exception in the method. I insert a step in workflow. My subworkflow goes in error but also father workflow,
when I restart the process ( after corect the error) the workflow is always in error... According to you where is the problem?
About exception is a temporary error?
when you say :
.. create a local exception in version dependent->local events->type of local event(exception)., it means : go to the method and create an exception? I don't see version dependent, local events..

Error coming out of Workflow restart - Error:OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO

Hi all,
After restarting the workflow through SWPR we are getting an error message as per mentioned below.
Error coming out of Workflow restart - Error:OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO.
Kindly suggest what can be the possibility of the error. I scehduled the SWPR program in the background and passed some workflows and getting this error message in the background job. Kindly suggest.

I think you need to analyse the Workflow log and then try to restart. I think you might have to change the container element value in order to remove the error. Please check and act accordingly.

here you have several possibilities
SWPR to restart after error
SWI2_DIAG for diagnostics
SWI2_FREQ to see the details
SWWERRE_DEBUG to debug

Error in workflow while linking goods receipt document with parked invoice

Hi All,
I parked document using Tcode MIRO, when WF has been executed and goods receipt document has been created.At the time that we tried to link this goods receipt to parked invoice document in the workflow,The problem happens with work item saying the status as Error. See the below error.

I am don't any Interface name MI_BPM_TRAN_EMP_DETAILS_FILE_OUT_ASYNC* in my scenario, the actual interface name is MI_BPM_TRAN_EMP_DETAILS_FILE_OUT_ASYNC does BPM adds a '*' at the end of the interface name.
In the workflow log it shows that "Transformation Step (2)" has error. I am using multimapping in the transformation step.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I ran out ideas to fix this issue.

The issue was with the step "Transformation Step (2)" and I fixed it in the mapping.
When using two send steps "Send step (1)" & "Send step(2)", BPM is executing the second send "Send step(2)" before it completes the first send step "Send step(1)". The first "Send step(1)" inserts the data into the database table and the second "Send step(2)" retrieves the data inserted in the first send step.
If I insert a "Wait step" between the 2 send steps it working. Can anyone explain how the send step in BPM works.
I did post the same question in "Exchange" forum also so that it can be view by more people.

** BPM Error - Msg has error status on oubound side

Hi Friends,
I am doing BPM scenario. (Receive Step --> Transformation Step --> In Block (For each) Synchronous Send Step ). That's all BPM design.
We have created Server prox (inbound Proxy) in ABAP, it receives PO details and return Sales order no. Coding has been written inside Proxy. If we test Proxy in ABAP, it is working fine.
The required PO data we pass from JDBC. Receive step receives the whole message (It may contain 1 or more PO). In Transformation step, we split message using multiline checkbox( One message per 1 PO).
Message is processed successfully upto this step. In the Synchronous send step, it throws an error.
In SXMB_MONI, 3 messages are generated. In the first message itself, in the outbound status column 'Red Flag' is coming, (but processed successfully). The error is 'Message has error Status on outbound side'. Inside the message 'PE' adapter is in grey color.
So, what could be the problem ..?

Hi Jegatheeswaran,
Take the Message after transformation and try to test your synchronous service with this message,
if u r using any web service you can use Altova (XML SPY) to test your service with the data after
transformation.
If it does not show any problem then try to see you have build your BPM Properly (Press F7 to test For any syntactical error).
You can also go to SXI_CACHE to see if your Workflow does have status 0 .
To get Exact error Message . Click on PE ->goto->ThechnicalSetting->select synchronous call->click on content tab->and go on navigating you will find detailed exception.

Sending mail is in error status

Hi guys,
I have designed a workflow for the PO.It has to send a mail to the requistioner.When a Gr is made thru MIGO then my WF needs to be triggered and need to send a mail to the requistiner.Iam facing one typical issue here.I have set a b/g task to fetch EID and sent mat docu number to method.Since if i make this task as b/g and execute the application(MIGO).The mail is not getting triggered.Its going in error status.If i make the same task as foreground and assign an user.Then once the user executes the task then a mail is triggered, which was going in error (if the task is made is b/g).any soluion for this guys???

In the workflow log check what are all the data's passed to the particular step.
Using the data's test your method using SWO1 transaction and debug it.
In the Email step, the addressstrings container should be populated with SAP User ID and TypeID should have the value 'G'.
Please check in the workflow log.

Error status on outbound side

Hi experts,
I am in JDBC to IDOC scenario and right now i face following error in SXI_MONITOR (black and white flag in status field BUT Red flag in outbound status):
"Message has error status on outbound side"
This is a heavy interface (up to 8MB) but, in the past, we did not receive this error. I saw that there is an entry in SM58 from the PIAFUSER that says "Lock table overflow"
Thus, I set the parameter enque/tablesize up to 8192 MB but after restarting the system it did not work either, a new entry in SM58 is shown.
If i analyse the runtime tab of the response of the message i can see
<SAP:AdapterStatus>007</SAP:AdapterStatus> --> for an erroneous interface execution (payload=7,2MB)
<SAP:AdapterStatus>006</SAP:AdapterStatus> --> for a successful execution (payload 6.5 MB)
Can anyone plz, help me on this?
I cannot explain why we did not face this in the past.
Can you please explain how the lock table works? and what does the overflow means?

if you are using the Inbound FM to process the IDoc, then you can very well use the work flow.
after processing the IDoc you will come to know the status of the IDoc .if any errors are there you can generate workflow.

Handling outbound IDOC errors through workflow TS00007989

Hi,
I want to sent an notification e-mail to external mail box when an outbound idoc has an error status. This needs to be achieved through a workflow template.
I noted that there is a standard task TS00007989 in WE40 which is used for handling outbound idoc errors.
Moreover i couldnt find any trigerring events for the above task.
Can any one help me with a step by step guide for achieving this.

Hi,
the single step task TS00007989 that you see is NOT TRIGGERED thru' any BO's event. It is created by the std. pgm RSEWFERR. If you go to the wflow log of the witem generated by it, you will see the Creator.
And you can control the activation / deactivation of these single step tasks for various inbound and outbound Error IDOC's thru' Transaction WE46.
If you want, create a single step task of your own and maintain that task here. But, you will ahve to know the exact BO like IDOCORDERS or IDOCEMBMAS etc. or look for events triggered by General IDOC objects like IDOCAPPL.

Send Mail Step forced to error status

In my send mail step, i'm using Expression and passing 'UserComplete' field which is the person who has completed the document in FV60 tcode. But, it ends in error status.
The error message is,
Work item 000000399146: Object 000000399146 method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION cannot be executed
Message no. WL821
Diagnosis
The calling of the object method for the work item ended with a return value for which no handling is modeled in the workflow.
System Response
The work item was forced into the error status.
Procedure
Refer to your workflow system administrator.
Procedure for System Administration
Also check the binding between the task container and the method container.
I want to know wat binding should i give for task and method ?

Just check what your passing in the field "UserComplete".
You need to pass user id as USXXXXXXXX.
US refers to USER and XXXXXXX is the user name.
Reply back if the problem still exist.

IDOC: Update ERROR status

Hi Experts !!!!!!
I am creating outbound IDOC for Informatica as middleware.
Once transaction is saved in SAP, customized workflow will start on a trigger event and create IDOC using MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE. Before calling MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE i am doing few mandatory field validations.
My requirement is to generated IDOC, even validation fails and set status to '26'. I also need to set customized message in error status mentioning why IDOC failed.
Can anyone suggest how to achieve this.
