Restart Job

Hi
I executed an Archiving Job through SARA. This Job got cancelled due to system shutdown. Through a while the job had created some archive files. Is there any way that i can restart the job from where it left off.?

Hi Subin,
Archive jobs cannot be restarted from where it got cancelled. What you can do is...
1. Mark the cancelled archive job (archive session with errors) as invalid in SARA->Management.
2. Delete the archive files which were created, because these will not be of any use (you can have a backup or move to some other place temporarily)
3. Run the archive job again with the same selection criteria as before
4. run deleteion
Hope this helps,
Naveen

    HI,
If you are using oracle database you may need to run table statistics report (RSOANARA) to update the index. The system admin should be able to this.

  • Is it possible to restart jobs defined using BMV0 with these errors?

    Hi All,
I have got this direct input job defined in BMV0 and scheduled as an event related periodic job. The job gets restarted when the errors are 'system_cancelled' , 'Dataset cant open' etc., but when the job errors are 'Session cant be protected', 'error due system shutdown',the job is not getting restarted and its giving a message 'A job with the same name has not yet ended'.this message is getting displayed when the job gets cancelled....If I check in SM37 , its cancelled and the error in the job log is 'error due to system shutdown' or 'session cant be protected'.
So Is it possible for this periodic job to get triggered even when the latter set of errors occur?
When the event triggers agin, the job gets restarted if the error is 'system_cancelled' but if they are the above set of errors, the job gets cancelled again and the message in the job log of sm37 is a job with the same name has not yet ended.

  • Initial Print jobs 'communication error with device'. Pause and restart job

So, I have an odd variant of the Leopard print problem; on 3 separate systems.
When I print to an HP Photosmart C7180, which setup fine, which I can scan to fine, the print job throws an error :error communicating with device, switch on and off' and so forth. It does that from any app, and consistently. I am printing via bonjour, the printer is networked, but on a static IP.
To fix this EVERY-TIME I PAUSE printer, then start printer again. It immediately starts working, consistently until I sleep, log out, or don't print for a while.
This seems to be some timeout issue or such. I tried IP printing, but no difference.
Resetting the print system also did not help.
It's not catastrophic but sooo annoying. Any input appreciated!
    Thx,
    Dan

Hello SunnygirlQ. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Unfortunately, not all USB printers are compatible with AirPort base stations. In addition, the AirPort's USB port does not support the "advanced" printer functions, like scanning, copying or faxing, of multi-function printers.
To see if your printer is compatible, take a look at this iFelix Unofficial AirPort Printer Compatibility link.
If your printer isn't listed, it doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, but simply that it has not been verified. iFelix also provides the following workaround for printers not on the list that would certainly be worth a try.
Also you can try this Apple Tech Support article to see if it will help:
o Printer troubleshooting for AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express
I assume that this printer works just fine when it is connected directly to your Mac ... correct? If so, has it worked when connected to the AX in the past ... or has it always had this problem? If it did work correctly before, did you do any updates, especially to the AX, recently?

With only one cartridge light blinking I would suspect the cartridge, they do rarely fail (much more often for reman cartridges, see here).  Clean the cartridge contascts as shown here.  If that fails and the cartridge is an original HP then check the warranty date as shown here.  If the cartridge is in warranty return it to your dealer for a warranty replacement.
The printer will automatically switch to backup mode if the black (or color in some printers) cartridge is removed.  I do not know if this works with the PSC 1510, some all-in-on devices insist on having both cartridges present.

  • LMS 3.2 Syslog purge job failed.

We installed LMS 3.2 on windows server 2003 enterprise edition. RME version is 4.3.1. We have created daily syslog purge job from RME> Admin> Syslog> Set Purge Policy. This job failes with the following error.

After server restart job will again execute normally for few days.
Please check attached log file of specified job.
    Regards

The only reports of this problem in the past has been with two jobs being created during an upgrade.  This would not have been something you would have done yourself.  I suggest you open a TAC service request so database locking analysis can be done to find what process is keeping that table locked.

what would be the syntax to point it to particular folder.
I am using ' \\\Home\BIData\finance\production\sales\Metadata  '  as this jobs reads more than one file from this folder.

I want to update the folder path\\infra\finance\production\sales\Metadata\ALL_Metadata_SALES.xls to \\Home\BIData\finance\production\sales\Metadata\ALL_Metadata_SALES.xls
when i investigated WF_Metadata_files i saw there is a global called INPUT_DIR i assume I have to change the path there. I tried to find old directory in the batch job but i cant find it and even When i give value to global variable it is still pointing to old path.
    Can anybody please help me.
    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
If having specified the value in the global variable it is still pointing to the old path there can be a couple of scenarios applicable
    1. There is a different global varaiable being used for the file path
    2. The filepath is hardcoded in the file-format or Excel file definition despite the declaration of the global variable.
Are you getting this error when running a dataflow within this workflow or in a script? It will be better to run the workflow in debug mode and look through the stages to find out where exactly in the workflow it fails.
    kind regards

We try to restart Job Server, again and again,  but nothing change.
The validate of the data flow and of all the objects in the project return with no error.
From Designer we can see Job Server running successfully but we can't login in Profiler Server although is running, we have configured a Profiler Repo and an User Admin Repo in the Management Console, can't understand why the login is not successful, but i think that is not important to our problem.
We try to create another simple Job but the result it's the same..
Anyone have any ideas of the type of problem?
    Thanks.

  • Cjq0 lock any job operation with enq: JS - queue lock

    Hi to all,
During working on develpment project I faced with strange scheduler trouble.
After some event cjq0 is hang and prevent any jobs to run. Besides it's lock any trying of disabe/enable/create/drop any jobs/windows and etc. But it allows to run jobs using dbms_scheduler.run_job. The same situation with dbms_job package.
First of all I tried to restart job coordinator with using:
    alter system set job_queue_processes=0;
    !kill -9 <OS process>
    alter system set job_queue_processes=10;
But no results. I mean that cjq0 is back and hang again.
It is came back to normal only after full db bounce.
I am confused. There is no any errors in alert log.
Does someone faced with such problem?
    P.S. 10.2.0.1Enterpise / RHEL 5 64bit
    Thanks,
    Anton

  • Lock after restart of VM

    Hi,
    I have done following steps.
1.) restart of the VM from the OVM console
2.) restart job was started, but VM is running ... Linux inside did not restart
3.) I entered shutdown -h now - to start shutdown of the OS
4.) my expectation was start of the VM after successful shutdown
5.) currently VM is in status starting, but it is locked
6.) although VM is in starting state, boot of the OS does not start
currently VM is in locked status and it not possible manage it using OVM console or Linux OS inside
Do you have advice how to recover this VM?
Kill it is not possible because of locked state.

Kill it is not possible because of locked state. Can you see if the job is still running on the Jobs tab of the Manager? If so, click the "Abort" button to unlock the VM, then you should be able to kill it.

    Hi Experts,
Can I config Job server via commandline?
I need to create a new Job server [JS_TEST01/port3501] and add the repository to this Job server and restart Job server via command line.
    Thanks

    我已经装好了SQL server express 和Data service 12.2,我可以通过【Data Services Server Manager-C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Services\bin\AWServerConfig.exe】 来创建Job server [JS_Test01] 和add a repository给这个Job server,现在我的需求是,我希望通过command line在来完成这个动作。
    就好像使用DOS 命令RepoManBatch.exe创建repository一样。
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Ser

    Usage:
    -U<User> : Repository login user

  • BMV0 Job Log

How Can i differentiate between the errored records and get them in a seprate List

    Dear Sherly,
It is always executed in the background.
    You can monitor the transfer:
To display the current transfer status, choose "Update" and the respective job (double-click). This enables you to follow what is happening. If the job terminates, for example, due to a database error, it is given the status "Background: job terminated". In this case, you analyze the error (by choosing "Display log") and eliminate the cause. You then select Job administration -> Restart job. The job is then restarted and the transfer of data continued at the point at which it terminated.
Status of a completed transfer: There are two possibilities here:
If the data transfer was 100% successful, it is given status "C" for "Executed completely without (logical) errors".
If, however, LOGICAL errors, that is, business errors, occurred (for example, a required entry was not made), the status is "E" for "Finished though logical errors occurred".
Error handling will depend on the type of data that you are uploading (Material Master, A/c etc.).
    Reward if this is helpful.
    Regards,
    Naveen.
