Restarting movies from the beginning

How can I re start a movie on my iPod, from the beginning without having to hold the rewind key all the way thru whatever has been already viewed?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Shuffle restarting music from the beginning

I just updated my itunes and my shuffle Sunday and now when I turn it on, put on shuffle mode, and play on my way to work it starts at a random song as normal. Then if I pause it and shut it off for a while, then turn it back on, still to shuffle mode, it starts over with the same list it played earlier. I have to fast forward until a song I haven't heard today already. Last night I restored my Shuffle to see if that would help, no dice. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi Ryan. Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for, but when you switch the Shuffle back on and you start hearing the same 'shuffled playlist' again, press the play/pause button three times in quick succession. This will create a new 'shuffled playlist', and you shouldn't hear songs in the same order again, I think! Please correct me if I'm wrong....

If it is a HD movie, it may not be enough. The iPad also need working space.
Try download to iTune (computer) and "Move" to iPad.

If you've already unsuccessfully tried to resume the download then the previously partial download may no longer be present on you computer.<br />
What you can do in such a case is:
* Move the old .part partial download and the 0 byte final file without the .part to another location.<br />
* Start a new download and pause it, don't close Firefox.<br />
* Copy the two files (.part and 0 byte final) that you moved above back to the download location to replace the new files that were created.<br />
* Resume the download in Firefox.

I bought a movie three days ago. It begins to download from the cloud, then my iPad goes to sleep and when I open it again, it starts downloading from the BEGINNING. How do I get the WHOLE MOVIE to download? I have re-booted but that didn't help.

I can't seem to figure out how to download a movie. It begins to download (and yes, I've checked my download speed and my bandwidth and both should, in theory, be adequate to download a movie!) but then the iPad will go to sleep and when I get back to it, it shows that I have bought the movie but nothing is downloaded. And when I try to download the next time, nothing is saved and it starts again from the beginning of the download.
I sat down by my iPad while I was working and every few minutes I would swipe to turn it on and it got over half of the movie downloaded. But then I had to go to leave and now it shows nothing is downloaded.
I can see having it take a few hours to download IF one was able to just start the download and walk away and come back later to watch the movie. But to have to repeatedly begin from the start of the download is incredibly frustrating. I would want my money refunded to my iTunes account at this point, if I was able to do that. It's just not worth the hassle.
Suggestions? How does one download a movie from iTunes? It should not have to be this hard!!

If you can then delete from your iPod if you can and redownload.
If you can't delete from iPod, go to to iTunes>Store>Check for Available Downloads on your computer , amd dpwnload and sync

In system preferences, create a new account again, using the short name of the "deleted" account. You may be prompted to re-use the old home folder. Log out and log in to test it worked. Then log in as your new admin, and do the delete process again. Don't choose to securely delete this time - just a regular delete.
When you have time to spare, go to Disk Utility, and use the Erase tab to securely erase free space on the drive. This will accomplish the same thing that your originally tried to do. Use the fastest method - anything more secure is a waste of time. You may need to run it overnight - it can take several hours.

It could be that the CD player will only playback "Redbook" CD's from the previous position.
And starts mp3 type CD's from the beginnig.
However.. it's not Logic related.

Take it somewhere that has better broadband. The best you can do sometimes is invest in new modem that works with your system instead of the rental etc in most cases.
Do a Safe Boot.
Make sure your firewall is set properly. Don't use 3rd party. AV software can get in the way.
Make sure you are getting the service and a clean strong modem signal - slow is one thing but if it drops off and can't maintain a connection you have hardware issues, not software - and upgrade to a new OS doesn't tend to improve, it may even not work with older networking equipment once you do get it.
I agree and think electronic only goes too far. And when you do get it: burn the package and manually set it aside first before running the intaller! make a flash memory installer, put it on DVDs too.

How can I make my movies always start from the beginning?

I want to use my iPod to present short videos as part of a live presentation. I've conquered the hurdles, and have the iPod sending video out to my projector, but I want to ensure that every movie starts at the beginning, even if I had cut it short in the last presentation.
I thought I saw a setting for this somewhere, but now I can't find it.

As far as the prices, the difference is likely the laptop version is the SD version and the iPad one is available in HD. That's the only reason you'll see a price difference. It has nothing to do with the device with movies/movie rentals. Apps yes, these no.
