Restore Deleted Account

I accidentally deleted an account from Mail. Of course, I lost all associated Inbox and Sent items. Is it possible to retrieve these messages?

If you don't have a backup of your Mail folder prior to deleting the account, your only hope of salvaging those messages is using a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II, and try to recover as many *.emlx files as possible. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try this, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.

  • Icloud restore, deleted account, stupid iphone

    Hi,
    Please can someone help me!!!!!
I cracked the screen on my iphone 5 and sent it in to be repaired. Before repairing it I made sure I had backed up on icloud. Then updated the software to whatever was the latest ios7. This is where it gets complicated...
First I rely on icloud and photo stream because my laptop was mistaken for a trampoline by my toddler so I don't have access to iTunes on desktop.
Half way through the update I was told by my phone to connect to iTunes, so I used my exes laptop to access iTunes. Still didn't work so I went through find my iphone and deleted everything from my phone.
Now my phone came back and wouldn't you know it all my photos and everything are lost in cyber Bermuda triangle. I have checked my exes laptop but only shows his last update and nothing to do with mine. Neither his iTunes or my phone has sync turned on by the way.
Now I tried to contact apple via telephone appointment and as I picked the phone up, that was in full working order, the earpiece wont work. I didn't realise it at the time but now I can only use speaker phone to hold a conversation. Have lost all my photos, videos and anything I wanted to keep. Can someone please help me as its not fun wondering who has my stuff and where it is.

    Hi nicola1202,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
If you performed a backup to iCloud before sending the iPhone in for repair, that backup should still be available to restore from. Please read over the following article and perform the steps to make sure the backup is there and then restore from it. You will need to be signed into the same Apple ID for iCloud under Settings > iCloud that initially made the backup to see the most recent backup.
iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud
    https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521
    Restore from an iCloud backup
On your iOS device, go to Settings > General > Software Update. If a newer version of iOS is available, follow the onscreen instructions to download and install it.You must update your device to the latest version of iOS to make sure you can restore from a recent backup of another device, such as a lost or broken device.
Make sure you have a recent backup to restore from.Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, then look at the bottom of the screen for the message Last Backup, followed by the date of the latest backup. For information about backing up manually now, see Back up your iOS device to iCloud. If you don’t see a backup you expected to be there, see the Apple Support article iCloud: Troubleshooting restoring an iCloud backup.
Go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap “Erase all content and settings.”
In the Setup Assistant, proceed to “Set up your device,” tap Restore from a Backup, then sign in to iCloud.
Proceed to “Choose backup,” then choose from a list of available backups in iCloud.
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • Restoring a deleted account

I really really hope someone can help me! I've deleted a mail account in my preferences and now all the emails for that account have gone from the inbox and the sent messages folder. I mistakenly thought that the 'account' was simply a record of the mail setup, not responsible for the storage of the downloaded and uploaded emails as well. Why doesn't it come up with a alarm box to let you know that you could be about to delete extremely important material!!!???

I don't know about your Mail app, but mine pops up a big dialog that asks Are You Sure You Want To Delete .... Was that not a loud enough alarm?
Unfortunately, once you delete an account it's gone. Your mail ISP, however, maintains account backups. They may not be 100 percent complete, but they may be able to recover a substantial part for you. You will need to contact them to find out if they can restore your account for you from their backups. Do this quickly before they delete the data from their records.

  • Can I restore an accidentally deleted account?

I think I accidentally deleted my wife's Firefox Sync account when we were swapping computers. How can I check this? If so, can I restore the account?

    Hi,
Depending on exactly how the account was deleted, you may well not be able to recover it.
Try running Windows System Restore.  If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you will need to disable Nortons Tamper Protection as shown in Step 2, on the link below.
    http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20091112171719EN&ln=en_US
Once you've done this, shut down the PC.  Windows System Restore is usaully best run in Safe Mode.  Tap away at f8 as you start the PC to enter Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and hit enter.  When this has loaded, from the Start Menu, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and launch System Restore.  Pick a restore point before the account was deleted and then proceed with the restore process.  When complete, Windows will reboot as normal.

  • Restore deleted AD User Account in Windows Server 2012

    Good day.
I know Windows Server 2012 has an Active Directory Recycle Bin feature, however upon enabling the feature it doesn't display the deleted user account I have deleted prior to enabling the feature. Is this normal? Does the feature only displays deleted AD
objects after you have enabled it? Is there other way to display those objects? Thanks in advance.

    Hi James,
Yes, You should have a valid system state back to perform an authoritative restore.
In case you don’t have any system state backup, you can use ADRestore to restore tombstoned objects. When an object is deleted from Active Directory, it isn't actually removed but is instead marked as deleted by an internal marker called
    a tombstone.
Note: ADRestore cannot restore the group membership for a user. Meanwhile, not all attribute data can be restored.

No he can _not_, as there is no tombstones when the recycle-bin is enabled, recycled objects can not be restored/reanimated.

  • Restoring Deleted User Calendars 10.6.8

We manage several public event calendars in OS X Server 10.6.8 via a single user called "Calendars" that publishes all its public calendars to the server. To facilitate ease of management in users' iCal, I also created a second user - called "Almanac", to whom I have delegated "read only" access to these calendars via iCal's delegation tab in the "Calendars" account. Thus, most users view the calendars by authenticating iCal using the "Almanac" account, while two or three privledged calendar managers view and edit that same data by authenticaing using the "Calendars" account.
This worked flawlessly for years, until recently when for no apparent reason, the "Calendars" account was getting automatically disabled on the Server, causing authentication errors in users' ical and of course presenting event updates. At first I thought the fault lay in my OD policies, which are set to delete accounts after 90 days of inactivity. However, this particular account has been excepted from this policy in Workgroup Manager via the Avanced Tab/Options.
In the past, I've cleared up similar niggling problems by simply deleting and recreating the problematic user account, making sure to use the same short name and then running chown -r on the appropriate user home folder.  I did that with this account, and indeed it is no longer being disabled. However, all of the precious iCal calendar events have disappeared. I can see the calendars themselves when I log into the Calendars user account and start up iCal, but there are no events present. When I try to access the calendars on the server via a privledged or unprivledged user in iCal, I get the message:
"The calendar http://<my.server.FQDN>:8008/principals/__uids__/00C48532-BA77-478C-A4D3-17A848DD9F6D/ was not found on the server. Make sure the URL is correct."
Looking at the Calendar user home folder, it looks like the data is all still there in ~/Library/Calendars. On the server, I also see what appears to be the Calendar Server documents that match the above UID in /Library/CalendarServer/Documents/Calendars/_uids_/...  Of course, I also have multiple backup copies of all of these directories via TimeMachine, SuperDuper! and PresSTORE.
I've already tried rm all the user calendar cache files and resyncing, also tried trashing all the user iCal preferences. Also tried a full restore of the users home folder via TimeMachine and running chown -r again.
    Thoughts anyone? Thanks.

Sorry - I meant chown -R of course.

  • Is there any way to recover deleted account on outlook express?

I didn't know that deleting account in outlook express will also delete the DBX files of that account. Is there any way to recover the dbx files?

Unfortunately, the mail accounts settings (and messages rules) for Outlook Express are stored in the Windows registry and not in a file that can be easily restored.

  • How do i restore deleted photos from my icloud?

How do I restore deleted photos from my icloud account?

If the photos were in your camera roll album when you last backed up to iCloud you could recover them by restoring to your backup.  If you want to do this, restoring to an iCloud backup has to be done in the initial setup process.  If you have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first.  Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below).  Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

  • Big Red "Delete Account" Button in iCloud Settings

I've been trying to research this here, but I can't find an answer.  I'm trying to change the iCloud account on my wife's iPad.  She just created a new account, but the old Mobile Me account that I'm using on my Mac and iPad is already in her iCloud account and grayed out so I can't change it.  I think I'm supposed to push the big red "Delete Account" button, but I'm worried I'm going to delete my main Mobile Me account.  Does "Delete Account" mean just for the iPad, or for the account in general, where I'd lose all my songs and apps?  This button is very confusing.  I want a "Change Accounts" button or a "Log Out" button instead.
So, what happens when I push the big, red button?

If you hit the "big red button" it will only delete the iCloud information on the local device.  I tested this on my iPod Touch and can verify that hitting "the button" des not delete the entire account.
Actually, IIRC, when you hit the button, I think you have the option of keeping a local copy of the data, or deleting it from the device.  If you are super paranoid, you can do as I did before I made my test.  Make local backups of all the data.  On my computer, I exported my calendars to a local backup, and I did simiar with my contacts.  THis way, if everything did get deleted, I had a local backup to restore from.

  • How to recover/restore deleted calendar?

    How to recover/restore deleted calendar?

Actually, restore deleted calendar got the same steps as restore deleted messages. You must be a Microsoft Exchange Server account.
1.In the folder from which the item was deleted, or in the Deleted Items folder, on the Folder tab, in the Clean Up group, click Recover Deleted Items.
Note: If the Recover Deleted Items command is missing
An Exchange account is required for this command to appear. If you are using an Exchange account and don’t see the command, contact your Exchange administrator.
2.Click an item, and then click Recover Selected Items .
Note: Your Exchange administrator specifies the retention time for deleted items. After this time elapses, deleted items cannot be restored.

  • Reactivate deleted account?

Last year my previous account was accidentally "deleted" by the Skype Manager. She just wanted to remove me from the group, but unfortunately she also clicked the option to delete the account. At that time I was told by Skype Support I cannot recover my account any more, although it was my personal account before joining the Skype Manager and not the business account created by the Skype Manager.
The "deleted" account is now in some kind of a half-alive state in the Skype database. I am getting e-mails from it if I request some action, for example I can successfully change the password, but I cannot sign into it. The main problem is that it shows up when people are searching for contacts and they pick the "deleted" account which is not usable.
Since Microsoft acquired the Skype later last year, I was hoping somebody from the Skype Support could answer me if anything changed in the meantime and if now this limbo state of the account can be changed. I know the password, it has my e-mail & it was my personal account before joining the Skype Manager. I can provide also other personal information to Support if needed.
It should be either possible to completely reactivate it or delete it from the list of found contacts when searching for a contact.
    Thanks!

    Hi, Mrihtar,
Thanks for writing again!  After a lot of hunting and digging, here are two options:
Contact Customer Service again, describing the details of which Skype Manager account your personal account had been added to, and accidentally "deleted" from, and request the account be reactivated or unblocked.   If the account can not be restored, request that all profile details be removed on your behalf.
You can now request this account be removed from the search directory, which would put an end to the confusion.  You would need to contact customer service to request this.  More details here: 'Can I delete my Skype account?'
    Christian_O,
Unfortunately, the Skype accounts created under the first Skype Manager program "belong" to that program; and like everything else in Skype, the account names are not transferrable to the new Skype Manager account.  Please contact customer service preferably the Customer Service link you can access from the Skype Manager dahsboard, to enquire further.
Best regards, with my embarrassed apologies for the delay in replying,
    Elaine
