Restore deleted calendar

I accidentally deleted two calendars. I make daily iCloud backups. How can I restore my backed up calendars?
Thanks!
W

Actually, restore deleted calendar got the same steps as restore deleted messages. You must be a Microsoft Exchange Server account.
1.In the folder from which the item was deleted, or in the Deleted Items folder, on the Folder tab, in the Clean Up group, click Recover Deleted Items.
Note: If the Recover Deleted Items command is missing
An Exchange account is required for this command to appear. If you are using an Exchange account and don’t see the command, contact your Exchange administrator.
2.Click an item, and then click Recover Selected Items .
Note: Your Exchange administrator specifies the retention time for deleted items. After this time elapses, deleted items cannot be restored.

  • Is there any way to restore deleted calendars back onto my laptop from my iPhone.

I recently installed Maverick on my laptop and have been having trouble syncing my iphone calendars with my laptop calendars, like I used to.
Like an idiot, and without any research, I joined iCloud thinking I could sync calendars this way. I didn't realize that it deleted my calendars off my laptop in creating my iCloud calendars. The syncing with my iphone still didn't work, and so again, like an idiot and without research, I deleted my iCloud account ot discover that all my calendars on my laptop are now gone.
My iphone still has the calendars on it, (albeit old and out of date), so is there a way to restore the deleted calendars back to my laptop from my iphone or from the backup on my laptop.?
Running Maverick on laptop and iTunes 11.1.3. iPhone is an older 3gs but fully updated running 6.1.3
    Please help.
    Thanks!

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    ~/Library/Safari
    Quit Safari.
    Select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the Finder menu bar. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
A folder window should open. Restore the file named "History.plist" in that folder from a backup that predates the unwanted changes.

  • Restoring deleted calendar entries. Help!

Hello! My device manager deleted 3 months of calendar entries. I accidently hit 'accept' when it asked me instead of re-sync'ing so it would leave the past messages alone. I do not have a backup or an archive of these. Is there any way at all that I can restore these items?? Your help is much appreciated..
    Thank you!

  • How can I restore deleted calendar?

My home calendar disappeared suddenly. I could not restore by going to edit and hitting undelete. I do have time machine but not sure how to go about using it to restore calendar. Any ideas?

Hi Lynn, I never use TM, but...
Have you looked through Pondini's extensive TM help site?

Can't imagine something not being covered there.

  • How can I restore a deleted calendar from time machine

I accidentally deleted one of my calendars.  How can I restore it from time machine?

I'm not sure why it didn't work.  I deleted the old Calendar folder and then replaced it with a Time Machine version of the same folder from the previous day.  Then I opened iCal and there was still nothing there.
The reason I just deleted Calendar folder and it's sub-folders and tried to start from scratch is because I could tell which sub-folder was for any one specific calendar since the sub-folder names were in some sort of code.

  • Restoring deleted iCal calendars and reading iCal log?

    Hello,
I am running OS X Server 10.6.8, and one of the features I have enabled is iCal.  Several people at our office have access to this Caldav account (just one account signed in on multiple machines/calendars).  Over the weekend something (or someone) happened and now all but 1 of the calendars are gone!  So I have a few questions, and I'm hoping someone can help answer them...
    1. If a user deletes calendars, are they actually gone?  Do they remove themselves from the server/user machines, or is the information still there just not being displayed?
    2. Can I restore the calendars from a Time Machine backup?  According to this article from Apple, I cannot: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH8417
    3. The log has been running at Debug for a few weeks, so theres a ton of information to sort through.  I have little to no idea of what the log is saying, I can't really make heads or tails of it.  The only thing I am interested in is the deleted calendars - who, what, when, and where?  Does anybody know how to weed through the logs to find this information?
Please let me know if anyone can offer any help, it would be much appreciated.  If you need more info/system specs please let me know.  Thanks!

In answer to my own question, you can indeed restore the iCal data from Time Machine.  By restoring the entire /Library/CalendarServer folder I was able to re-attained my missing calendars.
But the question of reading the log still irks me - can anyone help me sort through these logs to find exactly when the calendars were deleted?  Any tips for sorting, or keyworks to filter, to help me locate what happend?  Many thanks in advance.

  • HT1296 how to restore a deleted calendar after sync with computer

I wanted to back up my contacts and calendar to PC, so i changed the phone settings to syn with calendar. The outlook sync would not work so i changed back and now my calendar is gone. How can i restore it on my phone

If you have not synced since this happened you may be able to restore it from the backup made at the beginning of the sync process.  To do this, before connecting the phone, go to iTunes>Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".  Now connect the phone, when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar right-click on its name and select Restore from Backup.  See if that restores the calendar.

  • I can't delete calendars from iCal, they re-appear in a few moments. Also I can't add new entries. I have a backup on another  Mac which is working properly.

For the last 2 weeks iCal has not let me update or delete calendars. It continues to remind me about events in the past (about 10 days ago).
Also, Safari is not recording history, apart from today the last entry is 2 weeks ago.
Time and date is working OK.
    All software is up-to-date.

My problem is fixed now, thank you. It was caused by my changing the Boot Camp partition's 'RAID1' to 'RAID0'. If I hadn't done that, Boot Camp would still have been able to 'restore' back to the one partition. It was fixed with the help of Applecare by using a terminal and typing a command to erase the IP of the Macintosh disk (not the volume) as well as the IP of the Bootcamp partition (if I remember correctly), but then I had to restore the OS and all my applications and data etc which I had previously backed up using Time Machine. I haven't taken note of the exact command terminology used. It would be wise to speak to Applecare about this if possible.
Two words of warning, 1. According to the cause of this problem, it might be wise, after reinstalling the ops system to reinstall all extra applications one by one, manually, in case a similar problem arises again. Then manually copy back all data. Or the Mac user could use the Time Machine backup and then uninstall all the added apps then re-install them one by one manually. 2. Beware as after all this the user might not have the 'Recovery partition'. There is a small recovery partition (a few 100 Mb is size) which comes with all later Macs. After all this is done this tiny partition might not be there anymore and the user might have to re-install Mavericks again to get it back, or just install the upcoming update of Mavericks due in a month or so.

  • HT1692 How can i retrieve a deleted calendar on iPad?

I have deleted a calander from my iPad. I want to restore it.
My last sync with iTunes was a long time ago...

As you have found, if you restore the calendars from a backup, iCloud merrily brings them into line with itself by deleting them.
There is a workaround for this, though it's a bit of a fandago: please see this page -
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/timemachine.html
It's written for MobileMe but I would expect the process to be the same for iCloud (a confirmation of this would be helpful so I can add that to the web page). As you have a backup anyway you can't really get into any serious problems.

  • BB device deleting calendar entries dispite "Keep Forever" setting on

OK, here's my plight.  I am using the latest o/s on my phones (Storm 9530 and a World Edition loaner, each of which exhibit the same problem) and Desktop Manager 5.0.1.  I only perform "wired" syncs using the USB cord (I am NOT syncing wirelessly and I am not on an Enterprise Server).  When trying to sync with Outlook 2007, my phone wants to delete hundreds of calendar items that I want to keep. When I cancel out of the sync, and check my phone, the items tagged for deletion are indeed already gone on the phone.  All the posts that I have seen on this issue claim that "older" calendar items are being deleted by the user's phone, but mine seem to be indescriminate, in that some are old and some are quite recent.   There doesn't seem to be any logic regarding which are chosen for deletion and which aren't.  I've checked, and this doesn't seem to be a Memory Manager issue, as I have lots of room in my memory.  I have my Keep Appointments setting set to "Keep Forever."  My provider (Bell Mobility) is of little help on the issue, and conveniently claim that it is a data corruption problem.  If that is true, wouldn't the problem occur consistently, on every sync?  My problem seems to go away for days or weeks at a time, then pops up whenever, for whatever reason.  Is anybody else experiencing this, and if so, any advice?  Help!!!

Yep..  just happened for the several'th time to me also. I also am requesting BB support to identify the issue and rectify it please..  been around for a very long time from what I can see in the various forums.
BB support...  please respond so we all can get this working.. Very frustrating to have to keep restoring my calendar..  very time consuming..
Just went through the process once again. It drops repeats though..  bit of a nuisance..
I ensure I regularly back up OUTLOOK calendar to comma DOS csv so I have it just in case.TIP.. **  Watch your Dates To Backup settings on the way through the wizard. Remember that what you put in the backup will be what BB will restore.. I went from 94 deleted to 243 added.. a tad excessive, but BB should clear 60 day stuff I think...
**  make sure you haven't stored any calendar items on BB without duping to Outlook ..  If there are, make sure you have written them down or something..  maybe write them up in OUTLOOK BEFORE you do the backup..  I ensure I have as few as possible entries only in for just this sort of situation**
Then clear the calendar on the BB..
    Then restore your OUTLOOK calendar.
Then sync BB and it will pick up the entries you just restored.
I'm probably just sprouting info I have picked up from several forums, but it works for me.

  • How do you restore iCal calendars in Time Machine

I recently updated to iCloud from Mobile Me and when I opened iCal I noticed that the Mobile Me calendars and the iCloud Calendars were the same, so I deleted all my Mobile Me calendars and to my horror realized after reopening iCal that all the caledars were deleted in the iCloud calendar as well.
How do I restore those calendars via Time Machine? I am running OS X Lion and although I have made the terminal change so I can see my user Library folder, within Time Machine it does not show up.
    Help!!

Well, I guess they're not really ical backups, per se.
When i went to migrate MobileMe to iCloud, it said "make sure you back up your calendars first" and I almost didn't do it because I figured I have TM if I need it, but decided just to be safe...
so I did file>export>export for each calendar.
Then after the migration seemed to go smoothly, I deleted them.
    Then got into this snafu.
Fortunately, was able to TM back to the desktop from right before I erased them.
so I restored them, then imported them one by one, and so far it looks like everything is good.  Knock on wood.
It's still frightening to me though that an accidental deletion from the cloud turns into a day of screwing around to restore things!!  It shouldn't be that easy to just permanently erase so much important data. I shouldn't have to manually export all my calendars every day if I want a backup...

  • Mavericks upgrade forced iCloud. iCloud deleted Calendars & data.

I do not use iCloud. Here is what happened when I upgraded to Mavericks.
    Backed up computer (thank God!)
    Downloaded/installed Mavericks
Installation required Apple sign-in, which signed into iCloud
Changed System Preferences after installation to disable iCloud (for Calendar, etc.)
iCloud deleted Calendar, etc. data from computer... Gone from the computer. No option to keep my data.
If I sign back into iCloud (to get my data back!) It again deletes when I turn off iCloud...
I did not choose to use iCloud, merely upgraded to Mavericks and was forced to sign in. My data was deleted from the computer. My data, my computer.
    Question:
Without restoring image backup (SuperDuper) or finding/restoring everything in Time Machine, how might I get my (kidnapped) data back from iCloud then turn iCloud off non-destructively?
I love many things Apple, but iCloud has cast a huge shadow over my love of Apple.

...and yes, I know that if I re-enable iCloud (God forbid!) that I could File->Export->Export all the Calendars, Reminders, Contacts, (hope I get everything)..... But I shouldn't have to export my own data from a single computer to protect it from an upgrade-required "feature".
So I'm hoping for an option to keep my data without having to protect myself from an upgrade...

  • How can I restore deleted iCal events without removing current events?

I have just discovered that iCal on my Laptop has been deleting events older than 30 days (as per the default), even though it's supposed to be syncing via MobileMe with my iMac which has this disabled.
I have made backups and exports from iCal in the past. The former, iCal backup files, will apparently overwrite the whole calendar and restore it back to that point in time, which is surely rather useless? If there's a way to use one of these files without deleting new events, then please let me know.
I did import a previous export taken in August 2007, but that still leaves a large gap.
I have also been backing my iMac up in TimeMachine for the past year - is there a way to restore my Calendar this way without reverting new events?

    Hi crcamp1,
If you have multiple backups, your previous backup may still be available.  Details are found in this article.
Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes - Apple Support
    Where your backups are stored
The folder where your backup data is stored depends on your computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your data-backup routine. iTunes places the backup files in these places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
    Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK.
Restoring is further discussed at the bottom of this article.
