Restore deleted ICloud Calendar (NO backup!)

I accidentally deleted my ICloud calendar (IPhone on in my pocket!).  I do not have a Time Machine backup (I know, I know).  Am running OS 10.7.4 on an IMac, IBook and an IPhone.  Most recent .icbu file is from 01.2012 so not a perfect restore option.  Is there a backup on the ICloud?  Somewhere else?

The backup to iCloud is done only if you have set it up.

  • TS4605 restore deleted icloud calendar

I was on my laptop and accidentally deleted my main icloud calendar (which synchs across my iphone and ipad)
I took my calendar on my laptop off-line, and then I grabbed my iphone and restored it from the latest icloud backup (which was 10pm last night - so I'd only lose any calendar changes I made in the last day).
The restore worked, but my main icloud calendar (and all of the data) are still missing?!
Help! I can't make it to the Genius bar for 2 days and I need my calendar now! I am lost without it.
I don't care what device the calendar gets put back on - I just need it on at least one!
    Suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • How do I delete Icloud calendar from my Outlook 2010 while keeping Icloud contacts

How do I delete Icloud calendar from my Outlook 2010 while keeping Icloud contacts?

Do you mean from Photo Stream? If so tap on the photo and tap on the trash can in the lower right corner.

  • How do I restore a deleted iCloud calendar?

I inadvertently deleted my default iCloud calendar, and as a result lost all the entries it contained - in fact all the entries the calendar ever contained. . So did my spouse, with whom I had shared the calendar. Is there a way to restore the lost calendar, or its entries?
Many thanks in advance for any assistance rendered.
    Jack

This is a bit tricky, but you can do it this way:
    1.
    Quit Calendar
    2.
Take machine OFFLINE - Disconnect from Internet (UNPLUG IT!)
    3.
    Open Time Machine
    4.
    Go to ~/Library/Calendars
    5.
Restore appropriate calendars (in GUID.caldav/GUID/calendar - check info.plist)
    6.
Open Calendar - Restored calendar should be there
    7.
Choose Export->Export… Save as .ics file on desktop
    8.
    Reconnect Internet
    9.
    Watch calendar disappear
    10.
Import->.ics file as new calendar on iCloud

  • If there a way to restore my icloud from a backup other than the very last one?

I deleted some pics before my last backup that I need back. Can someone please help me?

Apple states that it keeps your last three iCloud backups.  During the process of restoring an iCloud backup, iCloud will show you which ones are available and ask you to select the one you want to restore (see image below).  You may need to tap "Show older backups" to access earlier ones.  The only way to find out if an earlier one is available is to go through the restore backup process.

  • Itunes restore deleted icloud restore

    Hi,
I'm facing a bit of a problem here.
I had two separate backups, each containing different data, one using itunes and one using icloud.
Once I had my new iphone I restored using icloud first, faced no problem there. I then restored using itunes, you know to get the other data. this deleted the data from the first icloud restore.
I beleive I did this they wrong way, any way I can fix it?
Any way I can get the data from the icloud back again?
help would be very much appreciated!

Or not ... sometimes it is preferable to have a different backup in case something goes awry.  I do my daily backups through iTunes, but once a month (or more frequently) I will do an iCloud backup which can not only serve to rescue me if I need to restore while away from home, it can also get me back to a known state in case a corrupted state gets into my daily backup.

  • How can delete iCloud Calendar?

I have Outlook 2010 and would like to delet the iCloud calendar because I don't use it. However, I can't figure out how to delete it...

iCloud seems to be a shapeshifter of mobile me. I can't stand it and can't wait to get it out of my systems. Unbelieveable! A company with so much market share, unable to get it right...  Is this a joke? Good thing I'm not running that company! Someone needs to wake up and begin delivering 'state of the art' software for their 'state of the art' hardware. WHERE'S THE SUPPORT??

  • Deleted iCloud calendar events keep reappearing

The other day I was trying to subscribe to a shared calendar (schedule for a baseball team). Instead of subscribing I ended up importing the ICS file into my main iCloud calendar. (This happened on the iPad) Unfortunately this means 160+ events, basically one a day from May-September.
I determined that deleting was quickest using iCal on my Mac. But after deleting the events in iCal, the changes did not propogate to my iPad or iPhone calendars.
So I tried on the iPad. I even did a test by deleting one event, and watching it automatically delete on the iPhone. I should point out here that up to now I have not had any problems with iCloud calendar syncing. So then I proceeded to delete all the events on iPad. But still the events persisted on my iPhone!
Just now I deleted one month of the events from my iPhone. I went to the next month, deleted a few more, and when I went back to look at the first month (July), the events had re-appeared.
OKAY HAHA GUYS VERY FUNNY THE JOKE IS ON ME?
I've logged into icloud.com and I see the events are still present there. If I double-click the event, it gives me the message "coudln't load event details". This only happens for these events, not all my events. And the delete buttons is greyed out! Not sure how to get these events out of my iCloud calendar now.
It makes me wonder if iCloud has some logic built in to roll back changes, if too many calendar modifications happen in a short period of time, as a way to prevent unintentional mass-deletion?

I'm having a similar issue trying to delete entire calendars.  They keep re-appearing after I delete them!  Happens in Calendars on Mountain Lion and in iCloud website (normal and beta)

How would I restore my iPhone if I'm doing iCloud and iTunes backup together? The articles lists that as an option, but when it comes time to restore, can't you only pick one to restore from?

  • TS3999 deleting icloud calendar

Hi, I cannot delete one of my calendars from icloud.com. When I press 'delete' (bottom left) it says there is a problem with a server. This calendar is the heaviest but it shouldn't be a problem. Has anybody idea what's going on?

You can't sync an iCloud calendar with Gmail, you can view an iCloud calendar on Gmail's calendar service if you like, but they don't sync.

  • How do I delete iCloud calendars from Outlook 2010?

I installed the iCloud control panel on my Windows 7 PC.
The results were not what I expected.
I wish to remove the iCloud calendars from Outlook. The program is not allowing me to do this.
I have already uninstalled the iCloud control panel from my PC.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problems with iCloud and this thread helped me get rid of the duplicate calendars.  Thanks!  Things are mostly back to normal.  But even though my iCloud calendar appears to be gone, I'm now getting two reminders for every event.  Any idea how to get rid of the duplicate reminders?
More info: Using Win 7 and OL 2007. The only calendar selections available are my normal calendar and my archived calendar. The events that are sending out reminders don't appear in the archived calendar.  Under Other Calendars I still see a calendar group called "iCloud" but there's nothing under the title.  Nothing extra shows up in Data File Management.  I tried this suggestion but don't see any duplicated events:

  • Recovering Deleted iCloud Calendars

I accidentally deleted my iCloud Home and Work calendars in Outlook on my work PC.  I honestly had not thought that it would delete them from iCloud and not just Outlook.  My mistake.  I tried to restore them by searching for "calendars" in Spotlight on my Macbook.  I found the file, but when I opened it, there was still no data.  So, I deleted everything from my iPhone and restored it from a week-old backup.  It brought back my calendars, along with the lost apps and other headaches associated with a restore.  And now, I assume through the iCloud sync, the calendars are gone again!  What can I do to avoid another restore from backup and keep my calendars?

    Hi there
I used the tool suggested at the previous post and managed to recover my deleted calendar from my last iTunes backup.

Thing is the file I got is a calendar.html file !
How can I import this file to my iPhone ?

  • Restoring Deleted User Calendars 10.6.8

We manage several public event calendars in OS X Server 10.6.8 via a single user called "Calendars" that publishes all its public calendars to the server. To facilitate ease of management in users' iCal, I also created a second user - called "Almanac", to whom I have delegated "read only" access to these calendars via iCal's delegation tab in the "Calendars" account. Thus, most users view the calendars by authenticating iCal using the "Almanac" account, while two or three privledged calendar managers view and edit that same data by authenticaing using the "Calendars" account.
This worked flawlessly for years, until recently when for no apparent reason, the "Calendars" account was getting automatically disabled on the Server, causing authentication errors in users' ical and of course presenting event updates. At first I thought the fault lay in my OD policies, which are set to delete accounts after 90 days of inactivity. However, this particular account has been excepted from this policy in Workgroup Manager via the Avanced Tab/Options.
In the past, I've cleared up similar niggling problems by simply deleting and recreating the problematic user account, making sure to use the same short name and then running chown -r on the appropriate user home folder.  I did that with this account, and indeed it is no longer being disabled. However, all of the precious iCal calendar events have disappeared. I can see the calendars themselves when I log into the Calendars user account and start up iCal, but there are no events present. When I try to access the calendars on the server via a privledged or unprivledged user in iCal, I get the message:
"The calendar http://<my.server.FQDN>:8008/principals/__uids__/00C48532-BA77-478C-A4D3-17A848DD9F6D/ was not found on the server. Make sure the URL is correct."
Looking at the Calendar user home folder, it looks like the data is all still there in ~/Library/Calendars. On the server, I also see what appears to be the Calendar Server documents that match the above UID in /Library/CalendarServer/Documents/Calendars/_uids_/...  Of course, I also have multiple backup copies of all of these directories via TimeMachine, SuperDuper! and PresSTORE.
I've already tried rm all the user calendar cache files and resyncing, also tried trashing all the user iCal preferences. Also tried a full restore of the users home folder via TimeMachine and running chown -r again.
    Thoughts anyone? Thanks.

Sorry - I meant chown -R of course.

  • Restoring deleted iCal calendars and reading iCal log?

    Hello,
I am running OS X Server 10.6.8, and one of the features I have enabled is iCal.  Several people at our office have access to this Caldav account (just one account signed in on multiple machines/calendars).  Over the weekend something (or someone) happened and now all but 1 of the calendars are gone!  So I have a few questions, and I'm hoping someone can help answer them...
    1. If a user deletes calendars, are they actually gone?  Do they remove themselves from the server/user machines, or is the information still there just not being displayed?
    2. Can I restore the calendars from a Time Machine backup?  According to this article from Apple, I cannot: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH8417
    3. The log has been running at Debug for a few weeks, so theres a ton of information to sort through.  I have little to no idea of what the log is saying, I can't really make heads or tails of it.  The only thing I am interested in is the deleted calendars - who, what, when, and where?  Does anybody know how to weed through the logs to find this information?
Please let me know if anyone can offer any help, it would be much appreciated.  If you need more info/system specs please let me know.  Thanks!

In answer to my own question, you can indeed restore the iCal data from Time Machine.  By restoring the entire /Library/CalendarServer folder I was able to re-attained my missing calendars.
But the question of reading the log still irks me - can anyone help me sort through these logs to find exactly when the calendars were deleted?  Any tips for sorting, or keyworks to filter, to help me locate what happend?  Many thanks in advance.
