Restore deleted ( not saved) mailbox

Is there any way to retrieve email that was NOT saved before deleting an account / mailbox? In order to solve a keychain problem, following instructions over the phone with Apple, I deleted both of my mailboxes, without saving the contents, and then recreated the accounts. Both accounts are now working, but all of my email history is gone, except for the the incoming for the past few days which I can also access directly from the provider's server. Any hope here?

Basics of File Recovery
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location. OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When you delete files you erase only the directory entries, not the files themselves. However, the space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten with recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

  • Restoring deleted notes iPad 2.

I have lost a large number of notes in the Notes App.  In Itunes on my desktop, the options in the dropdown box under 'restore from backup' don't include dates when the required notes were present. The 'last backed up date' shown under the dropdown box is the one that would include the notes, but isn't an option in the dropdown box.

    1. Connect your iPad to your computer.
    2. Open iTunes.
    3. Under “Devices”, you should see your phone, right click on it.

  • HT1222 How do i restore deleted notes on my ipod touch 4th generation ?

My baby sister deleted some notes today in the afternoon and well I want to know if I could somehow get them back

    Howdy Malmuirie,
If the iPod was being backed up through iTunes, you can restore the Notes from a previous backup.
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414
If iCloud was setup on the iPod AND you backed up to iTunes then you would have to turn off the wifi router in your home, then do the restore, and copy the notes out. When the wifi is re connected the original notes will sync with iCloud and automatically disappear.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • How do I restore deleted notes?

I attempted to move some notes out of my inbox into a different folder in my mailbox. However, they simply copied into the folder and remained in my inbox. I therefore deleted them. The copies remained in the folder, and I didn't have a problem until today (about a week later). The notes are missing both from my iphone and from the folder on my macbook. Is there a way to recover these lost notes?

I restored from a recent backup, and it returned to me notes from Friday, and then notes from 2011. Nothing in between.

  • Map Place Additions/Deletions Not Saved

If I manually add or remove places on a map page in a book using the + - functionality, the changes don't get permanently saved. Does anyone know why? iPhoto remembers them OK.
If I add a photo to a map page by dragging it into a photo field, it remembers that place and adds it to the map (using the GPS data). If I later remove that content (i.e. photo) it also refuses to save that deletion on the map. I want the map to show a selection of places on my travel route, not necessarily just the ones where I took photos.
Both additions and deletions appear OK until I change the project or view (e.g. select Viewer, or quit the app etc.). Any thoughts?

I have discovered what the problem is. It looks like a bug!
    Sequence of Events:
    1. I used the map template 1-Up w/Map.
    2. I then dragged a few different photos into the photo frame. This added the GPS locations from the photos to the map.
    3. I then deleted the photo frame using the Edit Layout controls.
    4. I tried to add and removed (manually) places on the map.
    5. Aperture remembered the original places from the original photo frame, but not any places I subsequently added or removed manually (using the + - functions in the list of places).
To solve this problem I deleted the map page, then inserted a new 1-Up w/Map page, then deleted the photo frame before I did anything. Adding/removing places using the + - manual functions then worked perfectly.

  • How to restore deleted notes, but iTunes won't let you?

I've tried hooking up my phone to my computer and clickin on the restore from backup, but when I click it, it starts and then says it can't continue because there isn't enough room on my phone. Is there any way to get the restore even though it says my phone is full?

For uscsparticus, there's a question for you:
If is saved from iCloud, you'll be able to get back or not?

I had duplicates notes on my notepad. Deleted one of each duplicate, and then they all disappeared! Crazy. How can I restore them ?

Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Restore the selected item from a backup that predates the unwanted changes.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • How do you restore deleted notes

some how i have notes that have been deleted, is there a way to get them back?

The best way is to restore from a Time MAchine or other backup.  The next is to locate a copy you have on a removeable or other drive.  Next is a copy you emailed to someone.
Finally you can use specialized tools to undelete-- this methind is only reliable if you have not written to your disk much since you deleted.

  • Help restoring deleted note from iCloud Backup

I desperately need a note I deleted from my iPad. I followed the instructions I found on this forum and others by erasing and restoring yesterday's backup from the iCloud, The problem is that the iPad starts syncing the Notes back with the iCloud before I can get to the restored note. Of course once it syncs, it's deleted again.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And no, this device has never been connected to iTunes.

Is this what you did to restore from iCloud backup? The iCloud backup data should be older than your sync data.
    1. Erase all contents and settings
    2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
    3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
    4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
    5. Configuration start
    6. Set language
    7. Set country
    8. Enable Location Service
    9. Select network, enter password and join network
    10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
    11. Selected Restore from iCloud Backup
