Restore from Icould, after restoring from Itunes?

I just got a replacement Iphone. When I was restoring it to my settings, It had an option to restore from Itunes, or from Icloud. I choose Itunes but now that it is restored I realized I should have chosen Icloud, is there a way to re-do this?

Reset to factory and then do another restore.

Hi, Did you work out a fix for this? All my calender dates (past & future) and the last 12 months of new contacts gone!!!! And yes i too back up regularly.
Previously when the great 5 upgrade happened, i did loss everything, and although I was doing backups none of that info was relative in an English way. A whole life of important, unreplaceable information gone! Never to be found.
All of my products are apple, but it seems that little people dont matter to them, with no recourse for the damage to my personal or professional life.
Extremly disappointed again!

Just just launch the Mac App Store, select the "Purchased" tab and download MainStage or any other application you already bought.

Why are certain apps not restoring to iPad after restore from backup. Are these apps gone and more importantly the data if they are not on my iTunes ?? Please say I can get them back

Recently restored iPad 2 to factory settings. Prior to this did a back up unfortunately when restoring my back up certain apps did not restore and are not on my iTunes. I really needed the app data I know I can re-download the apps but the data was all my work and it's not on my back up files help!!!!

thanks but it seems that when i did my backup it didnt save those apps so i have lost their content. ot may also be due to an update of my itunes as previous backups are also missing

Music not copied from PC after restore

I had to restore my 30 gb iPod with iTunes running on Vista. When the restore process finished successfully, I found that not all my music was copied to the iPod. There were no error messages. How do I get all the music on my PC into my iPod?

Have you tried it more than once? Have you checked how much space is left on your iPod? Have you et it to sync only checked songs and video an hve all your music checked so they can go on the iPod?

Pictures gone from Ipad after connecting to Itunes

I was starting up the macpro after having put new harddisc in after breakdown. All my photos were on Ipad1. When connecting Ipad a message came: do you want to transfer pictures from Iphoto to Ipad, pictures on Ipad will be kept. I agreed, but all the pictures were deleated from Ipad, and not transferred to Iphoto. Didn´t get that opportunity.
Can someone tell me how to get the pictures back on either Ipad or Iphoto? No file in garbage indicating photos.

Completely shuts down? You mean the iPad actually turns off? That's what "shuts down" means to me. The device powers off.
You could try closing all apps in the recents tray and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Texted Before Restore/Texts Gone After Restore

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 6. Before I bought the new 6, I backed up the iPhone 4 onto my computer's iTunes. So I got my new phone and began using it and texting on it before I plugged it back into my computer to restore.
After the restore, all my old text messages were back, but the issue is that the new texts (the ones before I did the restore) are gone!
Is there a way to either gain back those texts from before the restore or merge the old texts with the new?

You restored a backup (which is pretty much a snapshot of the device at that point in time) of your previous device to a new device which had new texts on it. Restoring from the previous backup to the new device overwrites everything on the device that you restored the backup to. Unless you backed up the new device with the new texts, you've lost the texts that the new device had on it. There's no merging the data of the new backup (assuming you made one) with the old backup.
If you DID make a backup of the new device before restoring the old backup and those texts are contained within that backup, restore that backup to the device to get those texts, then use something like iExplorer (google it) to archive the texts to a .pdf document (iExplorer is able to do this). As far as I know and as I previously mentioned, there's no easy way (if there is at all) to merge the texts together.

Printing from CS3 after export from LR2 (Mac OS X) blurry / undersaturated

Hi all,
New to the forum and it might be with a question which already has been answered but I really could not find it, so here's my try.
Recently bought a Canon 50D and Pixma 4600 and started shooting pics (RAW) of my newborn kid. After importing and basic processing (WB, exposure, noise) in LR I exported pics to CS3 in various ways (TIFF 16 bit, DNG, Original file, different DPI, up to 500 etc.) and did some detail work over there.
After printing from CS3 all pictures look slightly blurry, undersaturated and underlit. Did a lot of trying on all settings (IP4600 profile from CS3, saturated, relative. etc. etc.) and when finally comparing identical pics printed from LR and CS3, the detail and overall quality of the LR pics is much better.
Any help would be greatly welcome as I cannot imagine being the first one with this problem and because I am convinced that it should be possible to print very accurate and brilliant images from CS3.

Find photos from iphone after restore to original settings

So I was having issues after upgrading to OS4 and decided to follow advice to restore to factory settings. This did solve my issues with being able to edit contacts, but it presented a new issue.
I did do a backup of the phone before the restore, but I did not think to import my camera roll photos into iPhoto.
I just checked in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup to see if I could somehow grab the camera roll photos out of the backup, but was surprised that the only back up that looks to be in there is from after the restore. Is it possible to find an earlier backup to get the photos from? And if so, do I have to restore the phone to that backup or is there some other way to maybe just import the photos to iPhoto or open them with another application? It looks like all the files in the backup are text files.
I looked at a Time Machine backup but that was from an iphone backup about a week ago so there were newer pictures.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think to harvest the camera roll photos from the backup requires you to restore the iphone off the OLD backup, import the camera roll, then restore the iphone off the newer backup to get it back the way you want it.
There are various third-party iPhone Backup Extractors that should be able to pull the photos from the backup file, just FYI. Both Mac and Windows. Of course, since iTunes overwrote the backup file the OP wanted, doesn't really help in this case.
You can manually move the backup files before doing any kind of major syncing, etc, for future needs.

IPhoto events and pictures missing from iPhoto after restoring new hard drive and upgrade to iLife11

My iPhoto events and pictures are ALL missing from my iPhoto Library after I tried restoring my programs on a new hard drive AND upgrading to iLife11! Over the last few months, I upgraded my 2008 Macbook Pro's hard drive from a 250 GB to a 500 GB hard drive and since then have been manually installing and restoring programs and software. I decided to do things manually because I had problems with doing Time Machine backups/restores in the past, so before I upgraded the drive, I manually saved everything to a Western Digital MyStudio 1 TB hard drive that I had just for the purposes of a second back up. Anyway, I tried importing the pictures onto the new library, but couldn't find the hard copies at first, so that didn't work. I then tried deleting the iPhoto Library that came with new operating system, then copying my old backup onto the new hard drive...that didn't work either. However, when I right clicked on the iPhoto Library icon on my external hard drive (the original) and clicked on "show package contents," the folder not only contained the originals, but they were still organized by year and event just as I had them originally!
So, then I thought "why don't I try just importing the pictures directly into the new iPhoto Library!"
I tested it out, and sure enough, it worked! I then tried importing an entire folder (which, was actually the name of the event), and again it worked! So, I literally clicked and dragged my entire 2007-2009 library of pictures (which was about 35 GB) back into my iPhoto Library! AND, this only took about 30 minutes to download, enough time for me to write this post and the following instructions to Recap:
          1. Open your new iPhoto Library
          2. Go to wherever your ORIGINAL iPhoto Library is saved/backed up, then Right-click (or Control click) on the iPhoto icon
          3. Click on "Show Package Contents"
          4. Go to the folder called "Originals" or "Master"
          5. Click and drag everything INSIDE the folder (not the folder itself) to your new iPhoto Library
          6. DO NOT try Importing from inside iPhoto! For some reaseon, iPhoto can't see these images, but I promise, they're there!
I assume this could work on other iLife programs, but luckily I have MobileMe and my iCalendar updated itself, though I did have to do some tweeking...

Open your new iPhoto Library
Go to wherever your ORIGINAL iPhoto Library is saved/backed up, then Right-click (or Control click) on the iPhoto icon
Click on "Show Package Contents"

Click and drag everything INSIDE the folder (not the folder itself) to your new iPhoto Library
DO NOT try Importing from inside iPhoto! For some reason, iPhoto can't see these images, but I promise, they're there!

How can I get my Notes back from my Iphone after I syncing the phone.

To be honest before i restored my phone i connected to the computer i let itunes to finish the automatic syncing and than made backup and restored and than restored from backup wich didnt helped. I'm disapointed because i can see my contacts when i acces Wondershare but i cant copy them .... So basicaly they were saved in backup because Wondershare is using the backup to bring back the things.

There can be a few things that might cause this issue where music is not alphabetically organized on your phone. Resyncing content is certainly one of the steps to use to troubleshoot that. Next I would quit all the running apps on your iPhone:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes and then restore it as a new device and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

IPhone5 Notes removed from phone after syncing with iTunes

This morning my wife came to me with her iPhone5 complaining that her notes in the Note app have disappeared. After investigating on her laptop we found them in her Yahoo folders but they weren't on her phone. Strange. I had all my notes on my iPhone5. So we went to work and I researched the issue. Found out that there are a lot of people out there with this same issue. This evening I backed up my iPhone5 wirelessly to my computer. I restored my wife's phone to her last back up that she said had her notes. No good - not there. So I reset her phone back to factory setting and restored from her backup. In the mean time, I plugged my phone in to my computer to check on some setting. Lo and behold, my notes have disappeared too! Of course they are all in Yahoo, but what's strange is that not all of my Yahoo notes disappeared. So it has something to do with syncing with iTunes with the wire, not wirelessly. I just restored my phone to today's backup and I suspect that since I'm tethered to my computer, the restore put them back and iTunes removed them. Since I cannot see the Notes folder in the email app - what good is it to sync them to Yahoo? Ridiculous. So the key is to NOT tether your phone to iTunes and sync wirelessly. Now I am going to have to go through the process of emailing all my notes back to myself and copy them into Notes.
Any one have a better cost-effective solution?

Follow up to my earlier post. It appears that the notes that "disappeared" from my iPhone fit in a certain date range. Seems to be June and July. A note I created in August didn't disappear. So I just emailed the notes from June and July to myself. I created new notes on my iPhone in the Notes app for my Yahoo account. Automagically they appeared in my Yahoo folder and didn't disappear from my iPhone when I synced again. Solution?
