if i restore my iphone 4 with rogers, will i loose all my rogers account info like i would have to go into rogers and have them re setup my device for me

Your phone most likely has a Sim Card with Rogers. If this is the case, your account info will still be active, however, your personal data on the phone will be gone, unless you're restoring to a backup.
If you unlocked your phone, then switched it to Rogers, you will most likely need to go through the unlock process again.

    it seems like apple's activation servers have gone down under the weight of the overwhelming amount of activation requests. you will be able to activate your phone once the servers are able to catch up with the activation requests.

    So I've had a corrupt file that's been taking up 7GB in my 'other' stuff on my iPhone 5 so I'm finally restoring it right now, but I'm guessing the backup data with have saved whatever that corrupt file is in it.
    So 3 questions: • If I don't want to backup now but for some reason decide I want to in a say a day or so what would I do?
                             • Can I restore my phone from my iCloud backup, if so how?
                             • After restoring my iPhone will it create new backup data that will wipe over the already existing data with the corrupt file in it or what?
    Thanks for any help/advice, I'm in the middle of doing this so need help asap if anyone can help.

    2. Yes, if you have a iCloud backup
    Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
    3.Yes on computer it will replace the old backup. (I suggest you manually delete the backup first)
    iTunes > Preferences... > Devices > select backup and click the Delete button.

    Manually install it by holding your "Option" key down when clicking on the "Restore" button in iTunes and select the firmware file you downloaded.

  • I need a new recovery disc for my MacBook help ASAP!!!

    I need a new recovery disc for my MacBook so I can format and re-install the default operating system. I have lost the original recovery disc that came with my MacBook years ago. Can anybody tell me how and where I can order one from?
    Also, I do have the original recorvery disc that came with my MacBook Pro, could I not just use this or would it not be compatible?

    For a fee, you could likely order a replacement install-restore DVD for your MacBook. To get the correct disc(s) and match the hardware to the system, you need to know and have the serial number of the product handy, and be able to answer some basic questions; and have a form of payment, such as credit card.
    Call the Apple Store online (main US number, 1-800-MY-APPLE) or the main Apple Support number for US, 1-800-275-2273.
    Or if you're in another country, you could try calling a Local in-country support number and ask, since they may have to redirect your call to another associate. See link below for Support phone numbers.
    An operating systems specialist or other qualified person will be able to try & help obtain the correct disc or disc set; if the computer original gray-label set is no longer available, they may be able to check their extensive database against your product serial number to see if they may have another full install disc that can work.
    This other option, if it happens, based on your MacBook serial number and build model identifier, could be slightly newer than the OS X version shipped with the MacBook, and not be gray-labeled.
    A replacement install disc in retail version would not include any original MacBook applications, while a gray-label disc set should have most of them as part of a multiple DVD set, if available.

  • Itunes wont open/ file icon on ipod- NEED HELP ASAP!

    My itunes will not open at all on my comp. I downloaded the newest version, then nothing would open. I removed all versions and attempted to re-install again. Now, my ipod will not turn on. There is a file icon with an exclamation point. I dont know waht to do and I am leaving for a long trip in a few days and need my ipod! any help asap would be greatly appreciated!

    OK-
    First, let's get your iTunes open.
    Click on Start, Click on Run
    Type msconfig
    Click on the startup tab (last one on the right)
    Click on "disable all"
    Click apply, then click close
    Go ahead and restart your computer when prompted to do so
    When your computer starts back up, you should be able to open up your iTunes. When it opens, close it again. Now that we know it is able to open, it needs to be closed in order to resolve the file folder with exclamation point error.
    Now, let's get that file folder issue resolved.
    Click start, click all programs, click iPod, click iPod updater, click iPod updater (again)
    Click OK when you see the dialogue that tells you what the application's capabilities are
    Connect your iPod when it tells you to
    Click on the "restore" button when it becomes available
    IF the restore button does not become available, and if the iPod updater fails to recognize the iPod, disconnect it. Reset the iPod by (making sure the hold switch is off) pressing the menu button and the select button at the same time for about 10 seconds, until you get the Apple logo. As soon as you get the Apple logo, hold down the select button and the play/pause button together until you get a check mark on the screen. You may have to try this several times to get it to work... and sometimes it helps to lay the iPod down on a hard flat surface, like a table or your computer desk.
    Once you get the iPod into disk mode, you can go ahead and try to restore it again. (Start > All Programs > iPod > iPod Updater > iPod Udpater) Click OK, Connect your iPod when it asks you to do so, and then click the restore button when it becomes available.

    Is there no sound period? I mean nothing through the headphones or the speaker? If the sound works only through the speaker or just through the headphones the switch inside the headphone port maybe stuck open. Try plugging and unplugging 10 to 12 times to unstick it. If no sound at all, go into Settings>Music>Volume Limit. See if it is turned on, if so check that the limit is not turned down to zero. If still not the problem try a soft reset, press and hold the power and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears, about 15 seconds, then release. if still no joy go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. If still no joy, connect to iTunes via the cable and Restore to backup. If that doesn't work Restore to new. Just remember to save all your stuff that can be wiped before you restore, pictures, music, contacts etc. If none of this works, then maybe a hardware issue contact Apple Genius Bar or store and have your iPod evaluated.     So I have the screen where it shows which things to sync...music, pics,etc. Its where i am finishing the setup for the new ipod. I click DONE and everytime itunes freezes and wont do anything. When i close the laptop then open it back up, a message comes up saying ipod can not be synced, the disk can not be read from or written too. ive tried restarting the computer, uninsstalling and reinstalling itunes, restoring ipod, doing it under a different user on the laptop. also everything else runs fine while itunes freezes after clicking done so i dont know what is wrong. I think i just need to take back the ipod and get a new one. please help ASAP and thanks

    Right, well it must be something to do with either your computer or some program that is running that are causing the problem.
    Totally uninstall iTunes by using Revo Uninstaller (see the below link for the download site). If you have already uninstalled iTunes then reinstall it.     Once iTunes has downloaded, reinstall. Once its finished installing, it might be an idea to access your computers list of startup programs and deselect any items that are not necessary, has one of these might be what is causing the problem. A program called CCleaner has a feature that allows selection & de-selection of startup items/programs.
    Once you have deselected the unnecessary startup programs, restart your computer and try again with iTunes and see if you still have the problem. Just be careful has to not de-select a necessary program when going through the startup programs. If the problem still remains after de-selecting has many programs has you think are safe to be de-selected in order to determine if these are the cause of your problem. Then use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall iTunes. When you use Revo to uninstall iTunes, choose the ADVANCED method, has this is the most thorough method and removes left over registry entries, which might be what is causing your problem. Only choose the BOLD entries in the list (Revo uninstaller). Once you have selected and deleted the leftover entries, restart your computer and try to reinstall iTunes again.

    What version of iTunes do you have installed? If you are trying to update to iOS 6 you need iTunes 10.7 or later.

  • IPad deactivated. Need help asap!!!

    My daughter deactivated my husband's iPad. The screen says that it's deactivated and that I need to connect it to iTunes. The problem is, that it's connected and a little box appears saying "To allow access, please respond on your iPad...". How am I going to respond if its not working?! Need help asap!!!!

    Is that the computer that it's normally synced to ? With iOS 7 you need to need 'trust' computer that it's connected to, if the iPad is disabled you won't be able to trust it, you will need to put the iPad into recovery mode in order to be able to reset the iPad - there are instructions towards the bottom of this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 . You can then restore/resync the content to it.

  • IPhone 4s Restore Help!!!!

    My sister had to restore her iPhone 4s due to an unrelated promblem. Before we restored it, we backed up the phone. The computer said that the backup was finished so re restored the phone. Once the restore was finished, we chose to sync it to the backup that we just made a few minutes ago. Once the sync was complete, we unlocked the phone. The phone menue poped up with the sign into wifi, sign into apple id etc. Once we got pasted that, her wallpaper was gone. We opened up her messages app and all of her text were gone. We opened up all of her photos and they were gone too. Someone please help me recover everything that is now gone on her phone please. I don't know what to do and need help ASAP. Any help will do. Thank you.

    Did you sync the phone or restore it from her backup (these are two different things)?  If you only synced, you need to restore to the backup.  If it's in iTunes, connect the phone and go to the Summary tab of her iTunes sync settings, then click on Restore Backup under Manually Back Up and Restore.

  • Need Help ASAP!!! So FRUSTRATING!!! text message problems!!!

    I have 2 problems right now with my BB Torch 9810. I need help ASAP.
    1. It only saves 20 text messages. Messages that I received from august 2012. But it seems other messages are not stored. I don't delete messages, so I don't know where my other messages go. And sometimes if you create a new text, text history will show. But not anymore. This have been going on for a long time. 
    2. When I receive text message from some of my contacts, it will show the first few words of the text. But when you click on it, the message is empty. funny thing is, not all of my contacts are like this.

    I would suggest performing the following to resolve the issue: 
    1. Create a backup of all your data by using BlackBerry Desktop Software.  In BlackBerry Desktop Software go to Device>Backup and save the file onto your PC or Mac.
    2. On the BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone go to Options>Security>Security Wipe and put a checkmark beside 3rd party applications as well.  Type in the word BlackBerry and press wipe data.
    Please Note: You can re-install your applications through BlackBerry World.
    3. Once completed test sending and receiving some SMS messages prior to restoring any data.  If the issue is resolved, then go into BlackBerry Desktop Software and go to Device>Restore and choose custom and only choose contacts.

  • Please help ASAP! I downloaded an app to change the Windows 10 login screen & now the screen flashes

    I downloaded Windows 10 Login Background Changer and now when my laptop starts I can't even get to the login screen. After the Acer screen at startup, it says "Please Wait...." but then the screen just flashes continually. Please help ASAP! Thank you!

    I did the exact same thing and had a very similar issue (flashing lock screen and couldn't get past the lock screen). I tried a system restore, resetting my PC, doing a clean install of Win10, and both methods of booting in SafeMode -- none of these methods worked. Called Microsoft several times; Level 1 tech told me to do a USB installation of Win10 (couldn't get my laptop to restart the way the USB installation needed); Level 2 tech told me to do a USB installation of Win8.1 (again did not work because my laptop could not restart properly). Gave up with tech support. The only way i was able to fix this problem was by choosing the "restore PC to factory settings" option. All your files and programs will be lost, but all of mine were already lost anyway after I tried doing a clean install of Win10. My laptop (S7-392) restored to Win8; I updated all my drivers and then made a recovery drive; did a USB installation of Win8.1, updated drivers and made another recovery drive. I have since done a USB installation of Win10 and upgraded my drivers. IF the same issue happens again i'll just end up reverting back to Win8.1 for a while.

    It's a broken Windows Modules Installer then.
    We've had some success with that one using the SCENARIO III treatment from the following document:

    I'd *strongly suggest* setting up a System Restore Point prior to doing that, though.
    After doing the fix, stok up on Windows Updates. (The iTunes installation trouble is sometimes the first indication for folks of an issue that may have been going on for months, and with a broken Windows Modules Installer no Windows Updates will have been installing.)
    (You may have to do your updates in several batches ... if your SP2 didn't install due to the Updates trouble, there's a bunch of updates that you won't see unless you get SP2 installed. So after installing updates, keep checking for Updates until you don't see any new ones showing for you.)
    After you're stocked back up in that regard, try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
