Restore iPad 2 backup onto iPad 1

I recently had my iPad 2 stolen... My iPad 2 was backed up to the iCloud every night (when charging and connected to Wi-Fi) including the night before it was stolen. I have never used a computer to backup my iPhone 4 or iPad 2 and always relied on the iCloud.
I have access to an iPad 1 and was hoping to restore it to the backup of my iPad 2 however, when I choose the option to restore from backup, it says no backups available?!
Is it not possible to restore an iPad to backup onto an iPad 1?
I have attched images from my iPhone showing the backup on my iCloud account and further images of attempting to set up the iPad 1.
Any help hugely appreciated.

Additional Information
iTunes and iOS do not support installing backups of newer versions of iOS onto devices using earlier versions of iOS. If your backup was taken from a device that has a newer version of iOS installed, update your new device before transferring the information. I was trying to update my ipad using my computer and it wouldnt work so I went online and it said to update itunes so I did after that I went into my ipad and I started using facebook then my ipad turned off for no reason I looked at the computer and it said ipad in recovery detected to use ipad you must restore it or somthing like that so I cliked restore thinking I could just get all my stuff back because I had backed my ipad up this morning after it had finished I clicked restore to backup then it said enter the password to unlock your Ipad backup I didnt know what that meant so I tried my AppleID password my Ipad password and every other password I could think of I even tried my old Apple ID password and my computer password but nothing will work.
Please help I need the stuff for shool!

Restoring iTunes Backup onto my iPad

I recently updated my iPad from 4.0.1 to the new iOS 7.0.4. I had made a backup and transferred the apps to my iTunes library. After updating it, I selected the 'Restore from iTunes Backup'. It did restore but it left me on that page. Am I supposed to click 'Set up as New iPad' after restoring, or do I just leave it?

When trying to restore old backup onto a new phone a error appears

so i connect the new phone into itunes and when i go to press restore backup and loading box pops up saying "estimating time remaining" after a few seconds an error pops up saying "itunes could not restore the iPhone because an error occurred" and that is all no other information.

Setup Assistant should give you the option of doing this.
Unless you are planning on doing a clean install, your files shouldn't be affected.

Unknown Error when trying to restore backup on iPad

I'm trying to restore a backup onto my iPad 2, and every time I try to restore it, it does what it should where it starts to load and has the estimated time, etc. But when it finishes it says that there was an unknown error. When I tried to restore it, it did the same thing but instead gave me the error 1604, which I still can't get fixed either, but I tried restoring it on a different computer and it worked fine. So I thought there was something wrong with the computer that I originally tried it with that was causing the problem, so I transferred the backup onto the other computer and tried it and it game me the exact same error. I've spent days trying to fix this, and nothing has worked. I already looked at and tried doing what the support sites say with troubleshooting, restoring, recovery/DFU mode, etc. but nothing has worked. My iPad is on iOS 6.1 and I just upgraded iTunes to the latest version before I started all of this, and it is jailbroken with Evasi0n, although I've tried it with and without the jailbreak installed and it still has the same outcome. Is it a memory problem? Has anyone had the same problem and fixed it, or has any suggestions? And if not, is there a way that I can easily extract all of the files from the backup and put them on my iPad without using iTunes? Thanks.

Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

How to restore new ipad air from old ipad backup using itunes.

I'm trying to get all of the content from an old iPad onto new iPad air. I backed up the old iPad on iTunes, and when I plug in the new iPad air, it prompted that I must first update the software in order to back it up. I updated the software, but now I'm not sure how to get the old iPad backup onto the new iPad because it isn't seeing the new iPad as brand new anymore. Restore using iTunes
Use these steps if you have a new iOS device, or you need to to restore after a factory reset:
Connect your device to the computer that has your backup.
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Choose File > Devices > Restore from Back up.
You won't be able to install a backup that uses a later version of iOS than the device you're trying to install it on. Find out why.

How can I check my iPad backup has backed up my photographs

I've had to buy a new laptop and now want to sync my iPad with it. I've followed some previous instructions on backing up with iTunes. The next step is to sync it which will wipe the iPad and to restore from backup. I'm very nervous about doing this - how do I know that the backup backed up my photographs - it didn't seem to take that long. Foolishly I don't have the photographs stored anywhere else and I don't want to lose them.

Apart from restoring the backup onto a device there is no other way of confirming what is in it - but it should contain photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc. The backup won't contain photos that weren't originally synced from a computer.

You can also copy off photos that were originally synced from a computer, but you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

My Manage Storage in ipad3 cloud is showing two Backups. "iPadA" consumed 4.2 GB and "iPadB" consumed 20MB.

How can I restore photos from iPadA cloud backup? iPadA consumed almost all free icloud space but at the moment I cannot see any photo saved at iPadA Cloud backup and i dont want to loss those photos.
For your information iPadA was name of my old iPad3 and iPadB is name of my current iPad3. I am using the same Apple ID as before.

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

Unable to restore time machine backup onto a new hard drive

I recently bought a new hard drive for my mid-2010 white Macbook. I have kept this computer regularly backed up with time machine, but just to be sure I made sure I hooked up my external hard drive prior to changing the hard drive and made sure it was fully backed up. I checked my exceptions and saw that my system files and applications were listed, so I removed them from the exceptions list and let it back up again (it only backed up a further 60MB though, so that made me a little uneasy).
I successfully switched over the hard drive and then plugged in my external hard drive so I could do a restore from Time Machine. My external hard drive has 3 partitions: 2 time machine backups for each of my computers, and one partition for storing files that also has an old copy of 10.6 on it.
When I booted the computer, I held option, then selected Macbook TM. When it came to the window with 4 options, including disk utility and restore from time machine backup, I selected restore from Time Machine backup. When I did so it said "No OS X Backups Were Found." Why wouldn't it have backups listed if I have been consistently backing it up? How else do I do a full system backup?
Also, how can I be sure that I'm restoring this backup onto the new hard drive? It didn't prompt me to select that drive at any point, and I want to make sure I'm not overwriting the middle partition on the backup drive (or anything else).

You will find that Mountain Lion stores an invisible copy of the Recovery HD. You can boot from your Time Machine backup drive by restarting with OPTION boot:
Boot Using OPTION key:
1. Restart the computer.
2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "OPTION" key.
3. Release the key when the boot manager appears.
4. Select the disk icon for your Time Machine backup drive.
5. Click on the arrow button below the icon.
Your computer should boot into the Recovery HD. You will be presented with a main window of options. Select the option to restore from a Time Machine backup then click on the Continue button.

What sort of thing do you want to know ? If you want the same content on the new iPad as you've got on the old one then copy all purchases off it to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and then do a backup (right-click the iPad device on the left-hand side of iTunes), and then restore that backup onto the new iPad (you will need to enter email, router and other passwords on the new iPad, the restore won't copy them onto it)
