How can I restore iphone 5 back to ios6?
My iphone keeps freezing and I have to restart to clear.
Already tried restoring iphone both normally and in recovery mode numerous times with no joy.
Someone help please!?
My love affair with Apple is being truely tested!!

Error (-23) when updating/restore iPhone 3GS, IOS 4.3.3

Hi guys, I am using iphone 3gs on IOS 4.3.3.
I met error code -23 on my itunes when I tried to restore/update my iphone to IOS 5.
I tried google-ing error code -23 but there seems to be none on the web.
Anyone know how to solve this error? Thanks alot

iTunes has to be able to contact Apple during the downloading and installing process.

Restore iphone 5 IOS

I am new to the iPhone. I have had a problem with the Square App. I start the App and get the Push Notification Screen. I click OK. It will not go away. I have deleted the App. I have reinstalled the App, I have force quit the app, I have rebooted the device to no avail. Talking to a tech at Apple and a tech at an Authorized Apple retailer they have both suggested I restore the iphone.
I am assuming they are talking about connecting the device to iTunes and clicking the restore iPhone button. I am also assuming this basically reformats the device and reinstalls IOS 6.
I also have the phone backed up to iTunes. I also am assuming when I restore all the apps will be reinstalled as well.

It's the case, never jailbroken. Also, for info I had since the first day problem to communicate when using apple earphone and tryied with the blackberry one and a brand new Sennheiser earphone (made for iphone) without success (but working just to listen to music). I was on the point to request help for that issue..but now it's finished.
Please as last advice, what's the trick to claim for replacement (without headache), I'm extremely disappointed!
For info, I bought the iphone from Dubai-UAE and I'm in Tunisia.

Dear Sir. My Iphone 4, ios 7.1 was excellent until I got a message from my Itune 11.1.5 telling me that there were some items missing. Would I like to restore my Iphone? of course the reply was, yes. And I started the process but it took lot of time that made me believe that my Itune was not working so I unplugged the device, it was terrible! Now where I am talking to you the device has been plugged for 5 hours but no signal for the end. That is why I asked you dear fellows, how long should it take me to restore my system? Cannot restore iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4, error 2001 and 2006

My iPhone 5 (AT&T, purchased on March 2013) suddenly went blank - without being dropped down, or *drowned* in water/ liquid - then a blinking (Apple) logo ...
Following Internet forums, I kept the "Home" button pressed a while, the sign of an USB cable attemting to connect to iTunes appeared.
iTunes asked me to restore, I agreed, it downloaded the "iPhone5,1_6.1.4_10B350_Restore.ipsw", then extracted, then verifying with Apple for a while, then appeared the message that this iPhone cannot be restored, error 2001.
I retried, same result, sometime the error is 2006.
I retried with another MacBook Pro, then iMac, same error 2006 or 2001 !
Strange thing : when trying in iTunes in Windows 8 (via BootCamp on those same iMacs, MacBook Pro), the error changed to error 21 !!!
I'd tried in several other ways :
01. DFU (pressing both "Home" and "Power" buttons ... ...),
02. turn off Intego/ Sophos/ ClamXav,
03. delete that .ipsw file to download a new one,
04. remove the iPhoneUpdater.log files, pretending to cheat the system
05. confirm via System Information that I am plugging the iPhone only to one of the USB Hi-Speed Buses (thinking error 2001 & 2006 relates to USB ports)
... the *iFool* beauty keeps sleeping like ... a brick !

Hey guys, i have the same issue.
Yesterday my iphone lost network, i turned it off, and wanted to turn on, but iphone didn't react.
Once i plugged charging cable in, apple logo appeared, then screen went black, then apple logo appeared once again. So it seems like iphone goes into reboot after apple logo appears.
I connected iphone to macbook pro while holding home button, itunes showed me iphone 5 in recovery mode, then iOS was downloaded, but recovery didn't even started. Every time it shows me 2001 error. Sometimes recovery fails with 2006 error. I tried to change USB port, tried another original USB cable, tried another macbook pro, both are updated to OS X 10.8.4, iTunes 11.0.4(4), but the same 2001 error comes up over and over again.
I did everything that official support advises on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694?viewlocale=ru_RU&locale=ru_RU#error2001, but nothing really helps
Any ideas on what might help? There's no Apple stores here in Uktraine so i can not return my iphone and get a new one

I hope someone can help me with this, the stuff I've lost is so important to me it's actually scary. I can't beleive this has happened.
I last synced my iPhone 4s on the 29th August, there's been nothing majorly important put on since then so I can cope with losing the stuff that was saved in the interim.
Anyway, over the last few days when I connected the phone to iTunes i got an error message saying iTunes can't recognise the iPhone. Restore the iPhone in order to rectify this. So i downloaded iOS 5.1.1.
Then Last night i did restore the phone and install the new iOS... The restore went ok, but when it came to sync the phone from my last sync on the 29/08/2012 it said the sync could not be saved to the phone??? The phone had the correct contacts, music etc...but no photos... The Camera Roll has disappeared, all my previous SMS/iMessages and my conversations in Whatapp, my call history, my reminders in my Calendar, my Stocks, the cities I've listed in my Weather App.... you get the idea!
So at this point I restored the phone again and the same thing happened, however when I got the error message saying that the sync couldn't be saved to the phone then I tried again, and it synced successfully, but I think it's to this new "version/state" of the phone... So now my most recent sync for the phone was on the 12th August and all the photos, messages etc were missing when it went through...
How can I get my original stuff back? There were hundreds of photos on there that are of huge importance and I'm gutted at the thought of losing them.
Any Help would be hugely appreciated guys. I'm at a dead end here...

Restoring iPhone with ios 7, with broken screen

I broke my screen on my iPhone 5 and have just upgraded to iOS7. I also had a passcode on. With one of the new features of iOS 7, you must input the passcode to enable being able to restore the phone or even back up the phone. The screen was shattered about a month ago, worked just fine for about a month and then yesterday the screen just shows a gibberish mix of colors and pixels. It still "displays" notifications in that the screen will turn on with nothing but the jumble of pixels, and sounds, although Siri doesnt come on when holding the home button. Now, I just need to backup my phone for when I get a new one tomorrow without being able to input my passcode.

Sometimes when an iOS update is released there is a compatibility lag with certain features that requires an update to the vehicle. i have iphone 4 with ios 5 and i am trying to restore my iphone and everytime it gets stuck on the "Preparing Iphone for restore"
while itunes is doing that on my iphone it shows a loading circle at the bottom for a sec then the loading bar under the apple appears, but then it pops up a error
please HELP!!!!! ASAP

Try to put your device in Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU) mode.
If you were to restore, remember to first back up your phone.
You can put your device in DFU mode (Device Firmware Update) to flush out the entire of the current firmware and reinstall it with the update file. After you got the update file,
Charge your phone to a decent battery level
Connect your phone to a USB port that's fully functional, not one that detects then undetects your device constantly as that's likely to brick your iPhone while it updates
Hold Power and Home buttons for 10-11 seconds
After the 10th second or so, let go of the home button, keep holding home for another 10 seconds (Your screen should be black or having an itunes logo)
iTunes should tell you an iPhone is connected and put in DFU mode, please restore it
Restore it, it will take much longer than a normal reset and restore because it uploads and rewrites the firmware.
After everything's done, test it out again.
Note: if your Music files don't play after the restore, simply uncheck sync music and sync music, after all's done, check and sync it again.

we are not much tecnical person.. and mostly consumer dont have good idea about Jailbreak. make your device much better secure from hacker and jailbreak please we cant afford much money please give me any solution i ll not do jailbreak again please
