Hi all not of my notifications are working so I want to restore my iPhone 4s back to new then put all my apps, photos, music back on after without restoring from a back up is this possible if so how plz

Just restore it as new, instead of from backup

I should select as a New Device? And re-use my current apple ID? I selected option 2 and didn't get the message "Congradulation, your iPhone is now unlocked"

I formated my PC recently and forgot to backup my iTunes library,when new login to iTunes on formated PC, the "Apps" page still can see all my Iphone Apps that installed before but all the apps icon on right hand side show in non active icon, when I tick the "Sync Apps" on the top left corner, the box "Are you want to Sync apps ? All existing apps and their data on the iphone " x's iphone" will be replace with apps from this iTunes library" , means if i click "Sync Apps" all my previous apps will gone !!! Anybody know how to restore the apps from my iPhone to iTunes library, so i can continue to Sync new apps while maintain my old apps.

Thank you for the response. OTA Wifi. All apps, photos and contacts are restored and operating. I feel like something is stalled or maybe 24 hours hasn't been long enough. This is my second attempt thinking I made a mistake on the first attempt. But I am stuck in the same place

Hello, my iPhone 5's battery don't work well, it dies at 20 ~ 30 % sometimes. A genius from Apple Store says me that the battery hardware is OK, maybe the software is corrupt (because I have a not iOS fresh installation,it have a backup from my old iPhone 4), and he told me to try restore mi iPhone as a new, not restore from a backup.
So, my question is:
Has Apple got a tool or method to backp like Time Machine to keep my not-iCloud-data like sms history, iMessage chats, games progress, audio memos, Wi-Fi settings ,local data from apps. For when I restore as a new iPhone, set iCloud data automatically (OK) and set my local data manually?

Thanks Peter, but please, read mi answer, the problem is that I can't restore to factory setting because i don't want to loss local data, and a iTunes backup don't solves the problem (the system problem persists). I want to back up internal data of the Apps or sms chats without a backup all system from iTunes.

I restored the iPhone 5 out of a backup and now missed calls are not showed in the notification center

When I restore the iPhone as a new one, then it works. So the backup is senseless otherwise you're not able to see your missed calls in the NC.

In the forum I found that switching notification off and back on helped.

Downgrading of any version of iOS isn't supported by Apple. If you search the web, you'll find instructions that may work, but you're on your own should any problems arise. For many people it goes without problems, but for some it's reportedly bricked their devices.
If you haven't done so already, try restoring your iPhone as a new device, not from a backup, and run just with the included apps for a bit and see how it performs. Cache corruption or incompatible software can cause performance and stability issues. No guarantees, but it's worth a try to at least try to identify what's causing the problems, iOS 6 itself or something you have loaded.

I broke my old iphone so I got a new one in the mail today. I've restored it and when it is done restoring it keeps making me restore it again. So its an endless loop and its preventing me from uploading my music onto it. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I found the answer to my question.
When you attach a device (iPhone, iPad) to your Mac, in iTunes 12 in appears as a tiny icon in the second "row" of the iTunes display. Click the icon and the familiar iTunes display for the device appears. From there, on the Summary screen, you can see the dates of the backups of the device (iCloud and backup to the computer). You can also use the button to backup to the computer.

No, you should not. There are problems trying to go the other way, but updating a newer iOS release from a backup of an older iOS release has always been supported and is the basic means of setting up a new device from a previous one.
