Restore Names/Passwords

I had a tech support person tell me to reset safari and I did it too quick... I didn't see it would take out my saved names/passwords. What(/where) file are these in that I can restore with time machine?
Thanks

    Hi there,
    looks like you entered "DBADMIN" when you created the liveCache instance in DBMGUI as the DBM Operator.
    For SAP installations, this user is always named "CONTROL".
    So, drop the instance again, recreate it with "CONTROL" and re-do the recovery of the liveCache backup.

  • How do you restore a password on a locked folder made in disk utility?

    how do you restore a password on a locked folder made in disk utility?

    Hello there, HoseDwellers.
    The following Knowledge Base article as a great step by step instructional on how to change the password for the account:
    OS X: Changing or resetting an account password
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1274
    Resetting a user's password in OS X Lion and Mountain Lion
    Important: Passwords for administrator accounts should not be blank.
    Log in with an administrator account. Tip: If you don't know the password of any administrator accounts, see "Resetting the original administrator account password" below.
    From the Apple menu choose System Preferences.
    From the View menu choose Users & Groups.
    Click the lock button if it appears locked; enter the administrator password.
    Select the name of the user whose password you want to change.
    Click the Reset Password button or the Change Password button.
    Enter a new password in both the New Password and Verify fields, and add a Password Hint if desired.
    Click the Reset Password button or the Change Password button.This should get you taken care of.
    Remember, also, that you can restart the computer (you will be prompted to enter your administrator password) and this should log him out  so that when you log back in, you can then follow the above steps with success.
    Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

  • Unknown user name/password combination

    Hi SAPDBV Gurus,
    1. I did a full Live cache backup of system A  (LCZ)
    2. Did a restore with initialization to target. (LCR)
    3. I checked the system logs snm21 :- Unknown user name/password combination, and also in live cache logs
    4. When I tried to do a load systab with dbmcli> , I see the message :- -24907,ERR_DBAWRONG: wrong SYSDBA
    I could not create the DBADMIN user or reset the password, it gives a user_put error.
    I also found that in the source the sysdba user was DBADMIN (LCZ), and the target was SYSDBA (LCR)
    Thanks,

  • TS4268 FaceTime incorrect user name/password

    I have just up dated my iPad 3 and iPhone 4 to ios6
    When I try to login i get incorrect user name/password in the same time I can login in my account and download applications with same user name and the same password

    Appreciate the links Tom, however none of these helps, I'll explain the issue exactly (should have done that in my first post):
    The Facetime and iMessage credentials are valid and work just fine on the Mac, they don't work for some reason on the iPhone and the iPad and this only started happening after upgrading to iOS 6.
    I did some digging and found that it was an issue already for some since iOS 6 beta 4 and found many threads online with users facing the same problem.
    It seems that for some reason, a "glitch" occured during the upgrade and even restoring the device as new and starting from scratch doesn't help. After having received my other iPhone, I tried, and the issue remains.
    I contacted Apple Care and they're on the case from what I've been told but haven't been able to pinpoint the exact cause yet.
    I'll post back once I have an update.
    Cheers,
    Farès

    Reboot your Mac into Recovery Mode by holding the Command-R keys simultaneously when you hear the boot chimes. When you see the OS X tools panel with options to restore from backup, use Disk Utility, and reinstall OS X, go to the Utilities menu and choose Terminal. In here, type "resetpassword" (all one word, and all lowercase), and then press Enter. A tool will pop up that will allow you to select your boot drive, choose your admin account, and change its password. Note that after doing this, the admin account's keychain will be uncoupled from login, so you will have to unlock it separately; however, the keychain likely has the same password as the account, so if this cannot be remembered, then you will have to create a new one (you will be prompted to do this as one option when you log in).

  • Question on how to Hide the User Name, Password, and Domain fields in the MDT Wizard

    MDT 2012 U1
    Deploying Windows 7 via Offline Media (ISO) to MS Virtual PC's
    I am looking on how to Hide the User Name, Password, and Domain fields which are prepopulated in the MDT wizard via the CS.ini (Not so concerned about the Domain field as I am User Name and Password)
    We do need the Computer Name and OU fields to be seen, so skipping the wizard is not a option
    The client just does not want these fields to be seen by the end users, they dont want them to even know the account name used for adding the machine to the domain, of course the password is not displayed but it must not be displayed either.
    But since we use the fields they must still  be fuctional just not seen.
    Thanks.....
    If this post is helpful please click "Mark for answer", thanks! Kind regards

    You shouldn't have to edit DeployWiz_Definition_ENU.xml. You should only need to add "SkipAdminPassword=YES" to the CS.ini file and your authentication information.
    Example:
    [Settings]
    Priority=Default
    Properties=MyCustomProperty
    [Default]
    OSInstall=Y
    SkipCapture=NO
    SkipAdminPassword=YES
    UserID=<MyUserID>
    UserPassword=<MyPassword>
    UserDomain=<MyDomain.com>
    SkipProductKey=NO
    SkipComputerBackup=YES
    SkipBitLocker=NO
    -Nick O.
    Nick,
    SkipAdminPassword=YES is for:
    You can skip the Administrator Password wizard page by using this property in the
    customsettings.ini.
    I am hidding the Username/Password/and domain field in the computer name Wizard pane which is read from the cs.iniDomainAdmin=xxxxx
    DomainAdminPassword=xxxxx
    DomainAdminDomain=xxxxxx
    JoinDomain=xxxxxx

    I guess that the server name is incorrect, then.
    Did it ever work?
    Delete the account, reboot the phone, then add it back and be sure you choose Yahoo as the mail server type. Everthing should then fill in automatically except your user name and password.

  • HT1515 Will Airport Express work in hotels in China? They require user name/password to connect. Has anyone used one there?

    I will be traveling in China with my iPad2 and want to use hotel wireless. It requires a sign-in with user name/password.  Can I use an Airport Express for this purpose? How do I set it up for that? I have an old Express (pre-2007); can I use it or do I need to upgrade to the new model?

    OK - I have never been to China but the posts here say that it can be done - the cable from the hotel should be connected to the WAN port of the Express - the Express should be in bridge mode and set to create a wireless network with a name and password of your choice - you can do this with a computer before you leave for China or with the iPad if you have previously downloaded the Airport Utility app - you would then connect to your network and attempt to bring up a web page such as Google - the hotel should then intervene and ask you for the login info that they have provided.

  • File Adapter - anonymous login (or )User name ,password login - Efficient?

    Hi Folks,
    In File Adapter processing , anonymous login (or) proper user name password based login is recommended ?
    Because we have faced many issue while using username based login in File adapter  .
    Which one is best ?
    Regards.,
    Shiva

    Hi Shiva ,
    We will go one by one :
    You can go for the Anonymous login  but the problem is the any body can access the FTP server and it is not the secure one,that is why business generally don't allow the Anonymous login.
    Coming to Proper user name password login ,I would advice you to use this one as the connection is more secure in this case.But this also comes with a problem that the username password generally expires after some time as per security policy and you have to change the username password for the FTP server as well as in File adapter which you are using.But this problem can be solved by going for a permanent username and password.
    I would recommend you to go for Proper user name and password.

  • Error entering administrator name & password to make System Prefs changes

    I have been running Leopard with just fine but encountered this new problem today. I wanted to create a "Guest" account, but when I clicked on the lock in the System Preferences: Users screen to add that option, I typde in my administrator name & password and got this error:
    "Sorry, you entered an invalid username or password. Please try again."
    It accepts my password when logging in, for keychain access, etc... But I'm not able to unlock & make changes with the same username & password. I tried logging in to make the changes in System Preferences under another user who is also an admin, but I got the same error message using that user's name & password.
    This is a new problem for me. I unlocked & added a user account for my kids with no problems just last week and haven't made any changes to my password or account name since then.
    Any thoughts on how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance!

    I'm having a similar problem, since the 10.5.1 upgrade (I downloaded the 110MB version, as Apple readily admits that there are problems when using Software Update for upgrades).
    I ran Disk Utility to repair permissions on my boot drive, and it prompted me for my administrator password (something that I've only had to do since the upgrade to 10.5). This time, the user name was blank (usually it fills in the user name with the account name I'm logged in under). I entered the information, and got the error. Double checked everything, and still no luck. After a third attempt, I was told I had to wait a while before trying again.
    I'm hoping there's some simple fix or something I can easily to type in. I don't want to wait a few more weeks for Apple to release another patch, and I don't want to have to step back to an even more unstable version so I can use Disk Utility.

  • Yosemite 10.10.2 server app. FTP help. I have a program running in my local server enviroment that wants to FTP to my mac folder. It asks for the server , name, password, port and path. what are they?

    So I have set up a localhost area in my Mac. I have the new server.app and I am running yosemite 10.10.2 .
    I have a program running in my local server enviroment that wants to FTP to my mac .
    It asks for the server , name, password, port and path. what are they?
    I am pretty certain that the Serveris "localhost",
    Name is my macs name (like my-mac-min)
    password is "my login password"
    and they suggest port 21.
    But what is the file path, lets just say my site is set up http://localhost/siteftp and is actually at my Users/Sites/siteftp folder.
    Why cant this program connect to the mac.
    Is it because they are both operating in the same localhost enviroment,
    could it be my folder permissions are not correct on siteftp folder?
    Help please !

    I tried turning the computer off and then back on. The alerts don't show the notice to update as resolved. Hopefully this is not a problem or an indicator or another problem. Should I ignore or reload 10.10.1 from the app store to trigger a resolved check in a green circle?
    Interesting that I had to buy server software after my free Yosemite download. I would have hoped that the two pieces of software would have gone together without any complication. It is not positive to end up buying a problem. Ah well, time to move on.

  • Doesn't accept User name + Password after archive and install

    I did an archive and install, when finished the install the computer restarted and came up with the login Name + Password screen. I type in every account Name + Password I know and the login window just shakes telling me its wrong. I don't know what to do from this point, I was thinking about reseting the admin password but I'm not sure thats the problem because we have two admin accounts and I know both passwords.
    I archive and installed 10.4.0 over 10.4.7. And currently on my backup install of tiger.

    I did an archive and install because I had no video, and sometimes could not turn on the IBook. I have had two logic boards that went bad and were fixed free by Apple. When I finished the install the computer restarted and came up with the login Name + Password screen. When I type in Name + Password the login window just shakes telling me its wrong, which it is not.
    It is possible that the administrator or other user on the computer were erased at some point when I thought to get rid of unnecessary stuff (mistake!)
    I archive and installed 10.2.0 over 10.3.7, because I thought the instructions were to use the original install disk.
    I have a backup of the info on this computer on a MacBook Pro that I use all the time, this IBook I only use for email, etc.
