Restore only latest versions of files in a simple save backup drive
When I go to restore (transfer) files to a new computer from my HP simple save drive, how do I select only the latest backup versions of ALL files (photos, docs, music, etc...)?

If you have applied raster layer effects in illustrator, then it won't work because you no longer have a vector image.
What is the zoom factor of your composition window? What is the resolution of your comp window? If you would post a screenshot of your composition with the properties of the layers in question revealed by pressing the u key twice maybe we would have a clue what you are doing wrong. It's quite difficult to come up with an answer with out some details. We need more details.

God blessYou will need software that is compatible with the data files on the backup drive, ie. if they are .doc files you will need Word (or a substitute).
You don't mention what type of files are on the drive so it is hard to be specific. -
DMS- only latest version button in MM

My client has a requiremnt as below and need your help on the same.
We have material master as object links for few document types. My client wants like person A should be able to use both the buttons current and all versions radio buttons in additional data tab----doucment section of Material Master, but person B should be able to access only current version not all versions.
How can we achieve this, I tried searching for the authorization object in MM and DMS for this radio buttons but was not able to find any. Please suggest how can we achieve the same.

The concerned departments other than design will access and download the documents from the MM itself.
Here you can give authorization for department wise. only display mode for other departments.
Hence customer says there are chances that one can select all versions and may download wrong file
SAP DMS will always keeps the latest version in front. so the user cannot have more chances to download the older version wrongly. Here we are going to have only limited users.

Which latest ctac32k.sys file that can decode AC3 at driver lev
I have 5.2..20 version of ctac32k.sys that can display the decoder tab in Audio Console,I just downloaded the latest DELL driver which contains 6.0..242 version, but if I changed to this version, no decoder option will be displayed in Audio Console, don't work! so, any one have the latest ctac32k.sys that can decode AC3 at driver level with the latest 6.0..303 driver I really don't think the ctac32k.sys driver has relationship with 6.0..303, I just want to know the latest version of ctac32k.sys that can be useful and functioning at Vista 32-bit. Here's what I did to get Digital IN and decode DTS 5. sound with a simple external DVD player to my X-Fi XtremeMusic retail soundcard (SB0460) via the Sound Blaster Digital I/O Module. I'm using Vista 32-Bit operating system.
First I setup my dvd players for digital sound, This is my setting and may differ with other devices. sony dvd player (Model : DVP-NS325) DVD PLAYER AUDIO SETTINGSAUDIO ATT : OFFAUDIO DRC : STANDARDDOWNMIX : DOLBY SURROUNDDIGITAL OUT : ON- DOLBY DIGITAL : D-PCM- DTS : OFF NOTE : where it says - DOLBY DIGITAL : D-PCM (I switched this setting from DOLBY DIGITAL to D-PCM)and, where it says - DTS : OFF (I set this to off, because I want to decode to a DTS device decoder through my soundcard) The term "D-PCM" means : Downmix Pulse Code Modulation Next, I connect the digital cable from the digital audio out of the dvd player via the digital in of the Sound Blaster Digital I/O Module. I then went into the creative Entertainment Mode and enabled the Digital I/O. Also, In the mixer I unmute "Digital-In" and turned it up. Next, went into creative audio console, the decoder tab and enabled "Use Built-In Decoder" (DD/DTS), and set DD/DTS on Auto. Now, I went over to the dvd player, popped in a movie, called "Twister" I setup DTS 5. on the dvd root. Start the movie.So, I hear rich DTS 5. decoded sound through my computer speakers. This may not be easy for other users, I just played around with the dvd player digital audio setting and got it to work. Edit : I'm also using the latest creative sound drivers and the dell's ctac32k.sys system file to get the DD/DTS decoder tab. -

I do not know why the catalog has changed the file location of "ALL" pictures to the location on my backup drive.
Example: K:\My Documents\My Pictures\Pets\PICT1460-1.JPG
The actual location of the original photo is: D:\My Documents\My Pictures\Pets\PICT1460-1.JPG
The location of "My Pictures" is on my primary Hard Drive D:\My Documents\My Pictures\
Why is Photoshop changing all of my 37,000+ photo thumbnails to point to my Backup Drive K:\?
I need to correct the catalog file. How do I make the correction and stop it from happening in the future?I use a backup program, Retrospect 7.6, that copies selected files from my primary drive, D:\ and some from C:\ and copies them to my backup drive K:\ every night at midnight. The files are all there but I want to catalog to point to the original location on the D: drive. Can I change the catalog to reflect the original file location? I would like to have the flexibility to move the backup file location but now I HAVE TO KEEP MY PICTURES ON THE K: Drive.
Also when new pictures show up, the program looks for them on the K: Drive. -

However, regarding the original post, what do you mean by "file folder"? Did you select a FILE for deletion, or a FOLDER? These two terms tend to be quite different, you know.
If you selected a FOLDER, then ALL FILES inside the folder have been deleted. If you selected a single FILE, then only that file should have been deleted. "Delete all backups of..." is a completely different story. -

Even though this used to be available from the Save As… dialog, it was really an Export function, and that is where you still find it: File menu > Export… > Excel.
As to the question why, Apple would have to answer that, and they tend not to comment on things like this. -

How can I restore the latest BIOS version when it doesn't appear in "Software & Drivers" page ?
When delivered, my brand new Pavilion desktop model 500-282ef was equipped with BIOS version 8014.
On the EFI\HP\Bios partition, only the \Current directory contained another version of the BIOS, an older one, namely version 8013. The \Previous and \New directories were both empty.
Experimenting with my new BIOS, I've unadvertently downgraded my BIOS version 8014 to version 8013.
Now, as you've probably guessed, I would like to restore the latest version
The EFI partition doesn't contain any installer to restore my BIOS to its former up to date version.
Unfortunately, "the drivers and update" page on HP support site does not provide any installer either.
I would be so grateful if some of the nice people here would ask HP to point me to such (probably unreleased) updater which should obviously exist.
I have saved a copy of my second Pavilion desktop BIOS using safawin.exe in the hope I could use it to achieve a restore. But I've been unable to use it to restore the latest BIOS as the restore process also requires a signature file.

In an attempt to solve the problem, I have put manually a copy of the BIOS (v 8014) from my second Pavilion Desktop (same model, same age) in the "\New" directory. That BIOS file was created with the safuwin.exe utility.
That has been a nice step forward: Now, from the Boot page, the Firmware Management offers me the update option ("You will update from 8013 to 8014, OK?") but when I try to so, I got a error message saying that a signature file should also be present along with the BIOS file to flash.
In the EFI\HP\BiosUpdate directory I do see some signature files like HpBiosUpdate.s14 and HpBiosUpdate32.s14 which could be the signature files I need, but I have no idea about how to use them (or maybe rename them?) to allow the procedure to complete successfully.
Concerning the warranty, do you suggest I should invoke it ? Could you please clarify ? Actually my PC has no other problem than this BIOS "downgrade".
I trust that HP has in store all the files I need, which have probably been used when configuring my PC in the factory. My problem is to have these files available in the "Software & Drivers" page on HP site...

Only Latest Document version in view

the requirement is that user must see only latest version of document, and he/she should know if some-one is working on new-version. To avail this- earlier version must get obsolute status and there should some way/provision that he/she should not able to look into it- How can we achieve it?

Once you feel that a particular version is obsolete set the status Obsolete to the document.Create a new version of the document and start the status network again.The setting of the status Obsolete has to be done manually.
If you want it automatic, implement a user exit wherein you can write your code to set the status Obsolete to the old version whenever you create a new version.
To restrict the users not able to see the obsolete document, you can achieve this thru creation of a role with the Authorization Object C_DRAW_TCS wherein u give display rights to statuses other than Obsolete.
When a person has created a version and working in it, if another person tries to login to the same version he will get the message "The document version is locked by another user".

How to ensure that latest version of Flex application is loaded

I have a bit of dilemma here. I am working on application which is going to be used at various locations (globally).
Level of technical knowledge of users varies quite a lot so do operating systems authorizations of the PCs they are working on (various companies with different level of security).
At the moment I am facing issue where some users are still using older release of the Flex application even after refresh and deletion of temporary internet files.
Is there any way to ensure (using some AS code or Flex project settings) that only latest versions of SWF files are loaded (not the one from buffer/cache)?

but it is still picking up older version of SWF file on certain PCs. It does read latest HTML (wrapper) file though. Seems that caching is only enabled for either certain file types or files exceeding certain size.
I have decided to do something a bit daft (or cheeky, depends how you look at it) as temporary solution and rename 2 main files (main SWF and HTML) to something like:
Application_name_ver_XYZ.*
It can be done in couple of minutes after release build has been exported (no need to update project itself). That way I can fool browser so it will pick up latest version (since its different file with different name).
Main application consists of 10+ modules and some of them are compiled into separate SWF files. I am loading them inside application using ModuleLoader component. I have set parameter cachePolicy to "off" as I am not going to rename all these modules each time I am releasing new version of application.
The end result is that main application is refreshed but all modules that are being loaded are picked up from cache (old versions).
So as a last resort I have decided to change folder name of my application. That way all the files (main app and modules) are considered as new files since location of all of them has changed. It is just a workaround, it does work but it carries certain risks. If user will use old link application will still load (older version) and then consequences can be catastrophic (even corruption of data).
Has anyone experienced same issues?
I know these are more browser/network issues but how do I deal with them. Some of these people cant ask IT for support (for various reasons). Is there anything else I can do to ensure that users across the board will use latest version of application?

I'm attempting to recover a group of lost files from Time Machine. The files are backups from a mobile app within User/LibraryMobile Documents/.
I'm able to find the lost files, but Time Machine failed to restore them after I select 'Keep Both' and then enter my Admin Password. The screen returns to the desktop and the finder window for the file I'm trying to recover, but nothing else happens.
I hope someone can help.
