Restore primary no that was mistakenly cancelled and replaced with a new, different number

I have a simple problem that is two weeks old and still has not been solved. Two weeks ago I called and placed an order for a distinctive ring line to be added. Instead they cancelled my phone number and replaced it with a new number. I have had the old number for almost ten years and need to get it back. Verizon has just been unable to execute to resolve this.I have spoken with about 20 different Verizon people; it has been escalated; I have even gotten the Virginia SCC involved (like the Public Service Commission). Still not fixed. In fact, for the first time today, a Verizon person called me to whom this had been escalated  who stated that they now know how to resolve the problem. Apparently all the other people and departments to whom I had been directed or escalated were the incorrect people. However, the solution requires a new order which cant be placed until an old order is cleared out of "the system".   They are not sure but they think that might take "a day or two"
Does anyone know how to reach their CEO or their VP of Customer Service, Ms. Diefenderfer?
Verizon, if you monitor this it is ticket {edited for privacy}. Please help me. Please.

Verizon support is in receipt of this issue. We will send you a PM to gather additional information.
Thanks,
Tonya D.

Please... how can I delete that stupid VIP mailbox that was forced onto my phone with the new software of IO6?

I had started all this with a question back in September. Thanks for the follow up. I have learned to live with the big VIP that simply takes up space on my phone. Oh well, the darn first world problems we have...
On another fun note, my movie recommendation of the week is Flight. I liked it, but I only add that so I can add something positive after starting all this with a negative frustrated venting.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

  • Keyboard shortcut that removes fill effects and replace with 'x' symbols

I accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut that has "ruined" the display of my project.  As the title states all my fill effects disappeared
and little "x" symbols are now displayed on every object.  Lines are all rendered as single-pixel black lines.  I have tried hitting every possible key combination to get rid of this. I have looked up illustrator key codes and checked them but can't find it.  I have tried closing and reopening the file but it won't go away!

  • TS4006 Would we still be able to locate a lost or stolen iPad on iCloud if the SIM card is removed and replaced with a new SIM card?

If an iPad was lost or stolen and the person who has it has changed the SIM card, would we still be able ot track it on iCloud?  Also would changing the SIM card result in a response "offline" on the iCloud?

    Welcome to the community.
Changing the SIM, will not stop the phone being tracked. It can even be tracked when there is no SIM at all in the phone.

  • While intending to perform a clean install of Mountain Lion while continuing with old apps and files, is it a waste to restore a backup that was made while running Mountain Lion as an UPgrade from Lion?

While intending to perform a clean install of Mountain Lion while continuing with old apps and files, is it a waste to restore a backup that was made while running Mountain Lion as an UPgrade from Lion?
Originally I was running Mountain Lion as an UPgrade from Lion. I created a backup in Time Machine, performed a clean install of Mountain Lion, then I proceeded to use Time Machine to restore the back up.
When thinking about the essence of a back up restore, it occurrs to me that for all I know, I may have just wated my time IF Time Machine also restores all the old unneeded files that remain from Lion after an upgrade.
Since the backup was made while running Mountain Lion as an upgrade from Lion, did restoring this backup defeat the purpose of a clean install by reinstalling old Lion files?
If so, how can I re-do the last portion of the process so that I get all my home-folder files and apps back without the full bulk of old Lion files? Migration assistant I'm guessing?

    Hello John!
Thank you for your response which solved my problem. For other users who may stumble upon this, I'll clear up the confusion and share how I solved the problem with your help; When looking for answers to my computer problems, finding unresolved questions where person B offers a solution and person A never comes back and says "That worked, thank you.", it demonstrates a "k-thnx-bye" user mentality that leaves others with the same problem lost. Without further ado:
It is not clear what you did because the meaning of "clean install" is vague. You can erase a volume and install an OS which leaves none of its previous content intact,
This is what I did: I erased the volume leaving no previous content intact, while then installing OS X Mountain Lion.
or you can upgrade an existing OS (or reinstall the same one) which does not alter your user - installed files.
An upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion is what I started with initially before erasing anything. This was undesirable. Since this can cause Macs to run slower (especially whereas I'm using a mid-2011 Mac Mini), my goal was to go from operating within an upgrade to Mountain Lion, to operating within an installation of Montain Lion that was not preceded by any other oprating system.
Hence a "clean install of Mountain Lion while continuing with old apps and files" is confusing.
Well put and understood. What I should have said was:
    1.Erase the volume
    2.Install Mountain Lion clean
3.Confirm that Mountain Lion is functioning properly
4.Proceed to use either Time Machine or Migration Assistant to Import/Migrate/Copy over only two things; My old apps (That had been stored originally in the designated Applications folder) and all files and folders originally stored in the home folder under users.
If you restore from a Time Machine backup then all modifications that occurred subsequent to that backup become erased. It renders moot any OS X upgrade performed subsequent to that backup.
That makes sense and is just as I later suspected.
If so, how can I re-do the last portion of the process so that I get all my home-folder files and apps back without the full bulk of old Lion files? Migration assistant I'm guessing?
    Yes.
This is what I did and everything works perfectly. Thank you so much once again!

If it there is a backup you will find in in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup.  (Just open Finder>Go>Go To Folder..., past this in the path box and click Go.)

Chrome did something. Insetad of all my Bookmarks, settings and Apps it's a fresh Chrome. Like the day it started. Virgin, naked, nothing there.  How do I restore the Chrome that was there?

Chrome 'syncs' your information to its servers, so you can restore this information when you sign into your account, regardless of what device you are using. As for the latter part of your comment, I am not really following. I don't have Chrome currently installed on my machine so I can not help you step by step. All I know is you must SIGN IN to your google account on chrome and check the chrome preferences.
Google dashboard will show you all the information associated with your google account stored on their servers:

  • HT1766 How can I bring back the information from an application that was mistakenly deleted?

How can I bring back the information from an application that was mistakenly deleted?

Only if you backed up the phone before that and did not back up after that. App settings and data are part of the backup. But all other data will be set back as well, you can't choose a single app to be restored from the backup.

Does anyone know how to "undelete" a Note that was mistakenly deleted?  Is there a trash bin for "notes"?

If you backup your iPad, the notes are contained in the backup. But the notes will only be as current as your last backup. If you really want to retrieve that note and you know that you backed up after you created the note, try restoring from the backup.
Bear in mind that everything that was in that backup will be restored to the iPad as well as that one note that you want to retrieve.

  • I was trying to set up my aunt's iphone 3gs with itunes but accidently backed up her phone with my phone information so now all her contacts, photos, and notes are all gone and replaced with my phone information. Is there anyway I can restore it back?

I was trying to help my aunt set up her phone to itunes on my computer but when it asked me whether I wanted to set it as new device or use the backup from previous iphone data, I clicked restore from backup. I didn't realize that clicking that option would delete all of her information on the phone and relace it with mine. Her contacts, phones, notes, and all of her information are gone and replaced with mine just like my phone. Is there any way I can restore her phone because she really needs all those information orignally stored on her phone? She just got her phone not long ago and didn't backed up any of her information on her phone.

If her data was not backed up or synced to something, it's gone. Sorry.
