Restore/Recover Error mit Netbackup PIPE

Hallo,
-24920 backup operation was unsuccessful (db_activate RECOVER "SAPBackupDBpar" DATA EBID "SID VXFxxxxxxx /sapdb/SID/sapbackup/SID1.1,SID VXFxxxxxxx /sapdb/SID/sapbackup/SID1.2") The backup tool failed with 2 as sum of exit codes database request was cancled and ended with error -917.
Wer kann mir da weiterhelfen??

  • HELP! How can i restore/recover files from Bootcamp with Boot Failure - Missing operating system error?

    Hi,
I am having a few problems with bootcamp on my imac. When i tried to move the bootcamp partition on windows 7 into free space, it crashed and turned off. Ever since i have had the error 'Missing operating system' and it fails to boot. I have some very important files on the bootcamp partition. Is it possible to recover these files or even to restore the bootcamp partition to it's original state? I do not have a backup of my bootcamp partition. Another problem i have is that ever since i tried to expand my macintosh HD partition into free space, when i hold alt while booting up (to choose which partition to boot like i normally do), the bootcamp partition has stopped appearing. This means that i cannot even boot the windows 7 bootcamp partition anymore!
So basically here are my 2 questions:
How can i restore/recover files from Bootcamp with Boot Failure - Missing operating system error?
How can i make the Bootcamp partition appear in Startup Disk and when i hold the option key while starting up my computer to allow me to boot windows 7?
Any solutions are very much apreciated!
    Thanks!
I know that bootcamp (disk0s4) hasn't been fully deleted since it appears in disk utility (i cant do anything to it though)
And here is the error i see when i try to launch bootcamp (back when i was actually able to boot up bootcamp to the error screen)

WinClone 3 is OS X and saves Windows image it makes for restore - that should work but you will have to try and you would need to make a new image unless it also works with a native Windows system restore image. It is now supported and has come a long way.
    http://www.twocanoes.com/
Paragon Clone OS works and does disk-to-disk clone just like CCC you end up with two bootable drives. But does not work with your setup. It would let you clone and move your Windows install to an SSD or another disk drive though and be bootable.
During its clone process it checks for errors which is very helpful and lets you know - something CCC and others should adopt more of.

I wish for our/my sake you had re-read and rewritten the long 'story' and broken it into a brief list of facts we needed.
    OS X
    Windows
Backup (though external is much safer) and you want bootable OS X clones as well as TimeMachine

    https://support.apple.com/kb/HT1553
There are a number of things to do like chkdsk and others as well as Windows DVD to do automatic system repairs and find out why.
AppleHFS - the abilty to mount and read HFS volumes can be notorious.
I would rearrange and redo your storage setup and how you use the 4-5 internal hard drive bays.

  • Restore / Recover / Overall nice treatment of UNDO

    Hi,
I'm updating our 'Backup and Recovery Bible' which was written when UNDO was but a twinkle in the eye of Oracle Developers. I'm a bit unsure of how recovery should be done in the event that the UNDO tablespace or any of its datafiles dies.
I do know that I can create another UNDO tablespace if for example we lose one of the datafiles that isn't being used at the time of the failure. But could someone point me to a good link or comment on what should be done if we have a problem with UNDO in terms of restore / recover / RMAN usage etc.
We're using both 9i and 10g on Solaris. For the moment no interface to a media manager.
    Cheers.

    Confusion sets in.
I don't understand why (after renaming an undo datafile to OFF_undo) I'm not getting anything in the v$recover_file view.
    undo datafile name changed

Nothing in the alert.log either. If the UNDO is that important - why isn't the database screaming at me?

  • Backing up and Restoring/Recovering an Oracle 9i Database

I am fairly new at this and have been tasked with managing off site backups for customer data on a 9i database.
I am carrying out a user managed backup of the following data files to the offsite data centre.
    User File
    USERS01.DBF
    Control File
    CONTROL01.CTL
    Redo Log Files
    REDO01.LOG
    REDO02.LOG
    REDO03.LOG
    Index File
    INDX01.DBF
    SPFile
    SPFILEBCS.ORA
To test the success of the back up I have created a fresh install of 9i on a new machine with the file structure replicating that of the original.
    My questions are;
    1) Are these all the files required to be backed up in order to carry out a restore?
    2) What are the steps that I need to carry out to restore/recover the database using the above files?
Any help or ‘user friendly’ resources for beginners would be greatly appreciated
    Regards
    Toby

    1. If you are performing a cold backup you must backup all files listed by this query:
    SELECT NAME FROM V$CONTROLFILE
    UNION
    SELECT NAME FROM V$DATAFILE
    UNION
SELECT MEMBER FROM V$LOGFILE2. In order for you to restore, you perform a software-only install on the backup host.
    3. Configure connectivity (listener.ora, sqlnet.ora, tnsnames.ora)
    4. Create the service at the remote host using the oradim command.
    5. Restore the above mentioned database file set to the same path they have in the source host.
    6. Copy spfileINSTANCE_NAME.ora file to the backup host.
    7. Start services
    8. Start your database instance
    9. Add temporary datafiles to your restored database:
    ALTER TABLESPACE tempTS ADD TEMPFILE 'path/name';
    10. Test it.

  • Ipad 2 ios 5.0.1 stuck at apple logo black screen, subsequently cannot restore, face error 16XX in itunes.

i have encountered this problem even after 10 hours of troubleshooting various methods, when i turned off my ipad and when turning it back on, it would just hang during the white apple logo on the black screen and remain there with no sign of activity till i hold the lock + home button till it shuts down.
after several attempts, i tried to put it into recovery and restore firmware, it would get stuck at stage "preparing ipad for restore" after i click on restore ipad.
    i have attempted:
    dfu and restore, 1600 error
    recovery and restore, 21 error
my ipad 2 is wi-fi only model running ios 5.0.1.
i can't think of anything else other than sending it to applecare. my ipad 2 was recently purchased in jan this year. any input would be greatly welcomed!

Just follow these steps. I am sure it will solve your problem.

  • HP recovery could not restore computer error code 0xe0ef000e

I bought a nice Solid State drive.  Unfortunately it is not possible to upgrade my system to new hard drive.  It fails every time with HP recovery could not restore computer error code 0xe0ef000e.  This is after removing everything...  graphics card, ram, cd drive...  nothing is plugged in except the keyboard, monitor and mouse.
Windows 8 strikes again.  Does anyone have any suggestions about how to actually use the recovery disks to reinstall windows 8 onto a new solid state drive.  I hate this computer and wish I would have never bought it actually.  It's been nothing but crap from day one.

It's the HP 500-023w desktop.  I ended up just buying a Winodws 8.1 OEM disk and installing that on the SSD.  The recovery tool is a bit useless.  Reading through various forum posts it seems I would have ended up spending hours trying to figure it out or else buying the recovery disks from HP.  Just paying $89 for an OEM disk is a good deal by comparison since at the very least the computer has no bloatware on it now.
What a hugely unnecessary hassle really.  Now if only I could get this heap of junk to boot with a PCI-e graphics card installed I might actually be able to use it with two monitors.  Good grief.

  • Apple Confirms BRICKED iPhone(s) [Restore Mode Error]

Well this is the end of the problem I had from yesterday if some of you were around yesterday you might have seen my posts about taking the 2.1 update causing a RESTORE MODE error on my phone.
APPLE employee 'COLIN' and his manager which WILL REMAIN nameless confirmed when i brought my phone in that yes this infact does happen to multiple people. infact it happened to the manager himself of this washington apple store.
In conclusion If you have an error that causes your phone to be in a restore state and black screens on bootup with a iTunes symbol and USB cable, making sure ALL iTunes software should be properly updated fully before trying to reset to factory settings.
This problem was resolved and was just letting everyone know if this error occurrs to you it's fixable by apple or yourself with iTunes. Thank you all for you help, and tips it made this proccess alot smoother.

This happens to me whenever I do an update or restore. I just move the USB cable to another port until I get one that works.

  • IPod classic won't restore,/recover etc.

The other day my iPod having tried to restart it after it froze reverted back to factory settings and wiped everything off it, it also seemed to lose its charge but I am not sure of that. I connected it to the net and tried to restore it. It didn't. I reconnected it and it told me to go into recovery, which I did and then I clicked on restore. Error 1430 came up and it wouldn't let me. It is now in disk mode but it doesn't seem to work, though it does appear to be accepting a charge.
I live in Colombia now and local service does not seem to be that good so I would prefer to try and solve this myself if I can.

    First, try this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1372
I found it pretty useless, but what I did was uninstall and then reinstall my driver. Go to Control Panel > Administration Tools > Computer Management > Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus > iPod/Apple Mobile Device. Right click, Uninstall, then right click the Universal Serial Bus and click Scan for hardware changes. That worked for me.
Also, you can go to my Computer, right click the iPod and click Format. It takes a really long time but that should definitely work.

  • SQL Server Agent - [165] ODBC Error: 0, Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [2]. [SQLSTATE 08001]

    Hi,
    I keep receiving the error below in the SQL Server Agent Error Log;
[165] ODBC Error: 0, Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [2]. [SQLSTATE 08001]
It is occurring approximately 20 times an hour and i cannot link it to any job failures. All jobs on the same SQL instance are working.
The server is a clustered server and there are no errors occuring in the SQL Server error log at the same time. I have attempted to trace using profiler looking for errors and warnings but anything that does occur doesn't seem to correspond to the reported
times of the errors within the sql agent error log.
Please could someone point me where to look next?
    Many thanks.

Please may I add that this is on a SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise edition patched to 10.50.1600.
Nah, that server is not patched at all, because 10.50.1600 is the RTM version. Find Service Pack 2 and install at the next maintenance window, after having performed tests according to your local policy.
It is not going to resolve your particular problem though.
It seems like you have a job that attempts to a connect to s server that is down or non-existing. The job may be configured to return success also on failures. I would check if there are jobs that target other servers.
