Restore/Software Upgrade problems.

I just restored my iPod and it took the software upgrade off, does anybody know how to put it back on?
I e-mailed Apple but they aren't replying.

click shift on the Upgrade button on itunes. I think it's the upgrade button... lol

Ipod touch 2.1 software upgrade problem

Hi so i have a first generation ipod touch and i have bought the 2.1 software upgrade but now it is saying that in order to upgrade i have to wipe all content currently on my ipod.
This is a problem because I do not have all the files that are on my ipod on my computer, so if i upgrade then i will lose most of my music and videos, but i do not want to waste my money because i paid $13 for the upgrade.
Is it possible to upgrade my ipod without erasing my content?

not from about from 1.x to 2.x but mine came with 2.0.0 and i used all upgrades untill this 2.1 and i only sync'd my ipod touch 1 time
the rest of the times it does a restore and upgrade and restore the restore
if it's different from 1.x to 2.x then there
are programs you can manualy copy out your media before the upgrade
try using search or google as i dont know their names

when i connect 2 the internet , software upgrades program connect ( auto) and notify me that a new upgrades available , and when i click that icon to get the new upgrades an error message shows up " Error ! could not start TBIOS driver " !!!!

Which software did you upgrade? Microsoft Windows OS?
Well, I suggest to download and upgrade the newest BIOS version and then the software.

Software Upgrade Problems!

I had to reset my whole iPod and I plugged it into my computer, but it's not syncing the software upgrade to it.
I'm not buying it over again, and it still shows that I bought it in my Purchase History.

Look at your purchase history for the order number.
This is what I did:
On the 'Choose A Category' Section:
Purchase(s) - Missing
Then: I'm unable to locate my purchased items.
Enter your Order Number and in the Text Box say that it got erased when you restored your iPod touch.
They replied to mine within 24 hours and I got it back.

HT4623 Ipad software upgrade problems because of sim card

when uptading ipad software it demands the sim card, which i don't use, because i only use wifi. It can't let me pass the configuration stage of the sim card. How can i elude that step ando go on with the upgrade?

IPhone 4/32 software upgrade problem

Environment: MS Windows 7; iTunes ver 10.3.1.55; iPhone 4/32 iOS 4.3.
Problem description: everytime I run iOS upgrade to 4.3.3, after the download seems to be finished, iTunes pops up a msg box saying that my network did not respond in time and the update was unsuccessful. Internet connection is pretty fast (cable) and working properly, and all other iTunes functionality is OK. Downloaded file size: 666,2 MB. The event occurs every time I want to upgrade the system.
Question: What would be the solution? (apart from switching from Windows based laptop to Mac, which will probably happen in some future anyway)

Restore Software - (Battery Problem) via Bridge on Mac

I have a huge battery issue, it drains 1% each in a few minutes. I searched forums and saw that some people resolved this issue by re-installing software. So I downloaded Bridge for Mac and I selected REPAIR option which restores a new software.
However, when I finished the process, I turned my phone on and saw that it restores exactly same point which my carriers copy. That is it didn't restored a clean copy from SONY, instead it restored to the default my GSM carriers copy, which I believe might have the issue.
My build number after restoring is still same which is 14.1.G.1.534, however the new one at SONY website is different.
What is the best way to flash my phone with the latest PURE SONY software?

don't worry, you don't loose warranty if you flash the official (pure sony's) firmware.
When everything have failed already, try to read the manual.

Try a different way..
Go to your Apple menu  top left in your screen.
From the drop down menu click Software Update.

Hi, I need little help, had iPhone 5 before which got robbed and yesterday got from friend her old iPhone 3GS, I did backup from my account to get all old stuff back to this phone, I press restore software,its problem now to finish and turn on phone, its showing connect to iTunes but then when Im doing it its all process again, what can I do now to start using the phone ??

Maybe the backup of the iPhone 5 is too new for a old 3GS?

Also check that the ports 5353 and 5354 (Bonjour (mDNSResponder), AirPlay, Home Sharing, Printer Discovery) are open on Windows Firewall.

Sounds like it's been blacklisted.
Even if it hasn't, downgrading voids any warranty and forfeits all rights to support. You hacked your phone. You can't get help here.

You should be syncing all your contacts and calendars with your computer, either via iCloud or iTunes, so it is easy to re-sync them back to the phone after you restore.

Problems with contacts getting deleted after software upgrade!

Somehow, my IPhone 4s had a software upgrade, and it DELETED contacts. Anyone else have a problem with this???? UGH!

If you were already using iOS 5 where you using the iCloud feature to back up your device? If so, you should be able to retrieve your contacts. If you just upgraded to iOS 5 where you backing up your device on your computer via iTunes? You were advised to complete a backup prior to proceeding with the software update...if you did so then a copy of your back up should be available in iTunes. If you did not do a backup and you were not using iCloud to do backups then you would need re-sync your contacts from another source...did you use a contact manager on your computer (such as Outlook)? If you did then you can retrieve your contacts from there. Try looking at this link to see if it helps. Problems with rv042g after software upgrade

after software upgrade it reboot the router about every 45 sec
I've tried this tool from the Cisco website RV0xxV3_FirmwareRescueUtility_v4.0.0.7 without success, the problem is there, is a way you can get the router up and running again ?
Can i run a TFTP server and upload a new software, or i ther a FirmwareRescueUtility for rv042g ??

I am a Cisco network support engineer, I have a recommendation, before you upgrade any device in the future. Always keep in mind to make a backup of your data, in this way if you have to reset the device to factory settings you will not lose that information. Having said that, reset the router to the fabric configuration using the back little button, remember when you do that, you are going to loose your current configuration.

Sync them back to the device from the supported application on the computer that you are using. That would be either Address Book, Windows Contacts, Outlook, iCloud or other cloud service. That is done either through iTunes, or iCloud.
