Restore standard cost center hierarchy

Hi All,
A user modified the standard cost center hierarchy in productive system. Later I modified it in development system and transported this new version by a change request to productive system. I used the transaction OKE6 to include 'standard hierarchy', 'cost centers' and 'cost center groups' in the chnage request. When the change request was transported to productive system it deleted the modifications done by the user, it means some cost centers with cost allocations were deleted. We need to recover that version(the one with user modifications in productive system), do you know how can we do that?.
Many thanks in advance.
Miguel

Dear Miguel,
Please refer to the following note that offers alot of helpful advice to guide you with repairing Standard Hierarchy's:
Note:  27416     Standard Hierarchy Repair
In addition you might find 'K_REMOVE_DOUBLES_FROM_STD_HIER' helpful and further information can be found in the following Note:
Note: 545453   Multiple existing groups in standard hierarchies
I hope this helps you on the way and guides you towards a resolution of the issue.
Kind Regards,
Brendan

  • Standard Cost Center Hierarchy View (OKEON) in MDG-F 7.0

    Hi everyone,
ECC SAP features transaction OKEON to maintain a standard cost center
hierarchy. So we can have a full view of the hierarchy in terms of getting to
know that under what cost center group, a cost center is placed as the child
and parent relationship is told by using cost center hierarchy (cost center
    group) in cost center master.
In my workshop, a standard cost center hierarchy was implemented 5 years
old. now we are implementing MDG-F 7.0. so we are trying to use the File Upload
to complete cost center, cost center group and cost center hierarchy loads. My question
is that when we are done, will a standard cost center hierarchy tree to be
presented or viewed in MDG-F 7.0? I wanted to see the relationship to be
reflected in MDG 7.0 other than seeing each of which as an individual list of
cost center, a list of cost center group? Where is the relationship presented
    in MDG-F 7.0?
The same question apply to profit center hierarchy too?
    Thanks,
    LUO

  • Copy cost center hierarchy to profit center hierarchy: is this possible?

    Hi,
I would like to know or I can copy my standard cost center hierarchy to my standard profit center hierarchy. If so, how to proceed?
    Thank you in advance,
    Eric van Zundert.
Ps. We do not have enterprise organisastional active.

    Hi Eric,
No standard tool exists for this operation. However, if you really prefer to do it manually, you can pull a trick. You can export your cost centre hierarchy to TXT file, correct there certain parameters (change BCCSS to  BGLPCT, etc.) and then import it as profit centre hierarchy.

  • Time dependent cost center hierarchy

Does anyone know how to turn the R/3 standard cost center hierarchy into a time dependent hierarchy?
I can change the hierarchy of infoObject 0costcenter to be time dependent.  The datasource 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER does not fill the validfrom validto fields.
I would prefer not to have to load the hierarchy from a flat file.
    Thanks,
    John

Any changes to the R/3 standard hierarchy are stored in tables CDHDDR,CDPOS. This can be seen from tcode OKEON ==>selected cost center==>History==>Change Document==>Standard hierarchy Area.  This screen shows the validity of a cost center as it pertains to a node.

  • Error in Cost Center Hierarchy

    Dear all,
When I delete all cost center in standard hierarchy by tcode OKC4, some cost centers still appear in cost center hierarchy with activation status is "red". How to delete all cost center with "red" activation status in this case ?
When I check these cost centers by tcode KS02 or KS03, the system raises information "No data exist"  but when I create cost center with the same code by tcode OKEON, the system raise error "Cost center already exist".
So how to solve the problem ? I want to clear all the cost center in standard hierarchy and create again in DEV (No transaction data existed).
    Thank you very much,
    Dat Lam

    Hi,
Go to OKEON - Menu - Extras - Hierarchy-Master Data - Comparison and see what's the output. Genrally, you are not supposed to delete cost centres from the standard hierarchy.

  • Cost Center Hierarchy in ABAP program

    Hi All,
We are writing a custom program to extract the cost center master data from SAP.
There is a requirement to extract the cost center group that is linked to the cost center as well.
But the extracted group should only be the one attached to it in the standard hierarchy.
All other groups should be rejected.
Please share your experiences on how can this be achieved as I could not find a table where the cost center hierarchy is maintained directly.
    regards,
    Manish Gupta

    Hi Manish
The table is SETLEAF.. All cost center groups including Cost Center Hierarchy are stored there
there might be some differentiating field between the Hierarchy and other Cost Ctr Gruops...

  • R/3 Cost center hierarchy not shown in BW

    Hi,
we have an issue regarding the transfer of a certain cost center hierarchy into the standard info object 0COSTCENTER. We have several hierarchies in place in the R/3 system and we transfer each of them daily via info packages into BW.  When you look into the info package you can press button "Hierarchies from OLTP" and afterwards you can choose via radio button the dedicated hierarchy to transfer for this specific IP. Since last night one of the hierarchies is "disappeared" it's not shown any longer in the list (and therefore the IP crashed) and pushing the refresh button doesn't help. I am very surprised as this is not a new hierarchy (I just know that it has been changed in R/3 yesterday). What I have seen so far is that there is another hierarchy with a different technical name but with the same description. I know this shouldn't be a problem... Anyway, any hint is appreciated.
    Regards,
    Oliver.

    Update:
The issue has been resolved. I learned that only top nodes of cost center hierarchies can be selected on the BW side to be transferred (A top node is a group that is not present in any other group as a sub-group.). The hierarchy in scope of the transfer has been removed form any other hierarchy in R/3 and now it works.

  • Error In Cost Center Hierarchy Creation

    Hi Guru's
Error In Cost Center Hierarchy Creation
Our Business scenario is we have controlling area 1000, under that we have cost center Group as ABC lower level to that  we create each business wise in lower level like 1100, 1200, 1300 under this we create 110010 for production  110020 employee 110030 dummy so on, by mistake the client has created  1400 below level to 1000 now  all cost center amount is booked in this is reflecting in 1400 and as well in ABC now I need to move all 1400 cost centers below ABC please let me know how to go about this.
    Regards,
    Bhaskar

    Hi,
So, if it's standard hierarchy go to OKEON and just drag-and-drop this group under ABC; simple as that. In KSH2 (if it's 'alternative' group) the technology of moving is different, but still quite obvious: select the group you want to move and select the new placement.

  • Ambiguity problem in a cost center hierarchy

    Hello,
I have a problem with duplicated values in a cost center hierarchy.
There is a cost center that appears in two different groups and I am not able to delete none of them
It appears an ambiguity problem because of this, how could I solve it?

    Hi
In  KSH2   select  the   cost center and  then  click on   REMOVE.  But this  will not work  for  a std hierarchy as explained below.   SO   THE SOLUTION IS  TO  DELETE THE  COST CENTER MASTER DATA AND THEN   RE ASSIGN IT IN ' KSH2'
    1)   The  REMOVE function contradicts the fact that each master data must
always be assigned to one node in the standard hierarchy.
    2)   The DELETION of objects requires time-consuming checks of master data,
especially if entire subtrees are to be deleted. Therefore it is not
      supported here.
If such a case arises you should delete the master data
      using master data maintenance.
    Thanks

  • How to copy standard profit center hierarchy?

    Hi!
I should copy standard profit center hierarchy from production to development and test systems, how can I do that? Changes in standard profit center hierachy have made straight to the production system.
    Thanks!
    Points will be given!

    Hi
    Yes, it is possible.
You can understand it better by reading the F1 help after clickin on the item "Cost element groups" available under the same Master data1 tab.

  • Flat file upload against Cost Center Hierarchy nodes

    Hi,
we would like to upload flat files into BIIP which need to contain values for cost center hierarchy nodes.
Is there a way to add the cost center hierarchy node value into a flat file and upload it inot BIIP?
    Thanks and regadrs,
    Hans.

    Hello Hans,
you can post the value agaist any node as long as it is a postable node (not a text node).

                                        Sekar

Once the Cost Centre Hierarchy is Created, it can be used in Profit Centre Reports.
Choose Financials -> Cost Accounting -> Profit Center Report ->Template.
Here Choose, the Cost Centre Hierarchy the you had created and generate the report.

  • Cost Center Hierarchy in Parameter

I am creating a program to get CO related data from the underlying database and display in ALV.  I want to have a parameter for Cost Center Hierarchy so if they want data pertaining to a certain set I can select all cost centers in a certain heirarchy.. I am unfamiliar with the tables used for this and not sure the type to use for my parameter and how to get the cost center heirarchies in the dropdown list for the parameter.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You find hierarchy for each KOSTL in csks-KHINR. Hierarchy itself you can find in SETHEADERT-SETNAME. For building a dropdown I believe you are able to search for relevant post

  • How to delete a cost center hierarchy

    Hi all,
We are having a issue regarding the cost centers. The cost centers have been assigned wrong cost center numbers. Now the client wants a set of new cost center numbers to be used in the system. In order for that to be done I thought may be if I can change the cost center hierarchy that has been assigned to the controlling area in OKKP transaction we can assign new cost centers to the new hierarchy and solve the problem.
But the system does not allow us to assign a different cost center hierarchy from the already existing one when cost centers are assigned to it.
My issue is how to delete the cost center hierarchy.
If that is not possible how can we remove the cost centers assigned to the cost center hierarchy ( is this possible)
Last question can we delete the transaction data posted to cost centers.
Points will be assigned to all the replies.
    Thanks,
    Sarada

    Hello Sarada,
If the requirement is to track new cost centers only going forward, then you may need to create new Cost Centers, block old cost centers. Create a new node in the hierarchy saying "Old-do not use".
If the requirement is to have the history transactions reflect the new cost centers as well, then you will need to undertake a project for SLO (System Landscape Optimization) which will replace this data at table level. This is a major project in itself and the programs are proprietary to SAP.
    Hope this helps.
