Restore/Unlock not working

When I left country for Mexico, I called T-Mobile to ask how to use my phone while in Mexico. I was told I had to restore/unlock my phone, and they sent me the protocol. However, it did not work, and the T-M tech told me I had to contact Apple. The tech at Apple told me how to restore, which I was able to do once I arrived in Mexico.
The Telcel provider got me back to a home screen, and installed a Simm Card, but I have no service.
Is my problem with the restore problem, with T-Mobile, or something else. Can someone help me navigate this process? If you need more info, I will try to provide it.

    I managed to figure this out myself. I had to delete the device from the Blackberry Protect website.  protect.blackberry.com.  I wiped my device again and signed in with my Blackberry ID.  I dont know if the step of wiping was necessary as I did not try my backup with the current configuration on the device following the delete.  Restore is in progress for me!

    What if you have a situation where Restore did not work. I do. The ipad mini says it is disabled, connect to itunes. When connected, it says that it is locked! I have tried using Recovery/Restore but after it completed, the ipad mini still malfunctions. It does not allow you to start the device. The slide image keeps dancing around the screen. The opening page keeps changing in size and the keyboard types on its own! What can be done to fix this????????

    Maybe a reset would help, to be followed by trying the recovery again.
    To reset, hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.  Then do the recovery.
    If this doesn't solve it, I recommend visiting an Authorized Apple Service Center.

    It sounds like there is definitely a system problem. The whole OS seems to be messed up.
    Do you have an MS Windows 7 disk?
    In such case you could start the Windows 7 Startup Repair process using the MS Win 7 disk.
    Boot from Win 7 disk, after the temporal files has been load, you should get and window where you could choose between the OS installation and other options. The second option called Repair you Computer is the one which would be needed to get the system repaired.
    Then wait for System Recovery Options to locate Windows 7 on the HDD.
    Then choose the Windows 7 installation and then the next window should appear providing the option to repair the system Startup Repair
    But in case this workaround would not help you, the system should be reinstalled once again using Toshiba Recovery disk

    If you're not a developer then you really should not have upgraded.
    I'm unsure how you can fix this as you have already done a back-up on iOS 7 and apple don't support firmware downgrades.

  • Bluetooth unlock not working Z3Tc

    Hello,
    I am experiencing issues with BT unlock not working.
    My tablet was unboxed yesterday, so I doubt this would be a software issue...
    I am able to connect both my Xperia Z1 compact and MacBook Air to Bluetooth, both are selected as available bluetooth devices in the unlock with Bluetooth settings.
    I have tried both custom as standard sensitivity settings, but when I power-on my tablet (or resume from standby) my tablet is not unlocked as I would expect it to and I am presented with the alternative pattern to unlock.
    I have already tried disabling screen protection by setting the option to 'none' and have set the unlock with Bluetooth option again. Offcourse, I also tried rebooting the tablet.
    Any help would be appreciated. I have searched the net, but seem to be the only one with this problem. Possibly I'm doing something wrong but can't find it...

    As i understand it, i'm afraid this feature will not work with another phone. It may perhaps work with a computer but then it depends on the bluetooth software you have in that computer and if that software keeps a connection with the phone.
    When you pair your tablet with another phone or pair two phones these will not keep a bluetooth connection with each other all the time. They will only be connected when you actually send something (for example a file) and as soon as that transfer is done they will disconnect from each other again. So when you press the on/off button, bluetooth unlock will not work as they are not connected with each other.
    It will however work if you have a bluetooth device that is always connected like a headset, SmartBand or a SmartWatch. It will also work if you tap your tablet in your Z1 Compact under Settings -> Bluetooth just before you press on/off on your tablet. If you tap it there they will be connected for a short time before disconnecting again.

  • DB Restore does not work on MSSMS 2014 under WIndows8.1

    When attempting to restore a DB which was backed up on a different machine (same names but SQL EXPRESS 2012) under MS 2014 running on WIndows 8.1 into a SQL Express DB, the following happens:
    1. Open Restore task
    2. Select Device to get 'Select backup devices"
    3. Invoke "Add" and expect to see a browser. Instead, a backup file location is indicated and no browsing is permitted in the "Locate Backup File" Even when the path and file names are just typed in, the Restore will not work.

    SQL Server does not allow you to restore or attach a database from a higher version of SQL Server to a lower version of SQL Server in your case from SQL 2014 to SQlL 2012, however you can generate script in SQL 2014 and execute it on SQL 2012.

    Did your computer crash or did Firefox crash causing the loss of the bookmarks?

  • IPhone Unlock Not working

    Hi,
    I am out of contract now on my iPhone 4.
    I called at & t and they sent me unlock instructions.
    I followed the instruction provided by at & t in the mail and did a backup/restore operation.
    At the end of the process I did not get any  confirmation saying the iPhone 4 is unlocked.
    When I contacted AT & T
    "According to our system your device was indeed unlock by us in the service but the itunes process failed.  You will need to try it again, and if it does not work contact Apple to see if there is a problem with itunes"
    I tried multiple times after that but no luck.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Which "restore" are you doing? You need to connect the phone to iTunes and click the Restore button on the Summary screen, not the "restore from backup" that you see when right clicking the name of the phone.
    Note that if the phone has ever been jailbroken and the baseband replaced it is no longer possible to do an authorized unlock.
    Note also that if your computer was EVER used to jailbreak any iDevice (iPod touch, iPad or iPhone) the network database on your computer is corrupted and you will have to fix your hosts file before your phone can be activated.

    Ipod 2nd Generation, Slide to unlock is not working - Ipod is not reponding to "sliding".  I've tried a soft reset but it still won't slide to unlock.

    You probably encounter the same problem then mine. The problem is not hardware but software due to a bad update by Apple. MIne was working perfectly... I repeat perfectly... No bugs and no problem at all and just after I decided to update the OS it stop working!
    I did try all those tricks... restore, factory restore,... even go to the App Store where they tried to push me to buy a newer product or to pay for a fictional repair since the issue is not physical. It doesn't have a scratch or even a single drop of liquid... It was a careless update. A way to push people like me and you to throw their old iPod Touch into the garbage. The only solution will be to find an older OS but it seems to be impossible to find.
    For sure I will never buy a Apple product again !

    Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
    You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

    You can also try to reboot the computer or run Firefox once as Administrator.

    Well, i saved my configuration with the config manager, do one RESET with the phone (73738#). Logon on the PC with 192.168.15.1 (Yellow LAN port). And the restore configuration is active!  But when i restore my .cfg file the SPA122 don't work well. The VoIP line is working but the PC connected to the yellow LAN does not work, can't get IP address (0.0.0.0).
    (I reboot PC, SPA and router,same thing).
    To reproduce the bug simply put the SPA in Bridge mode in Network service.
    My SPA is in bridge mode and got one PC on the yellow LAN port. The SPA122 and the PC got static IP address from the ADSL router in DHCP. SPA -> 192.168.1.70 and the PC -> 192.168.1.64.

    According to the Lokesh's reply, this problem is probably caused by 3rd plugin in Windows Explorer Shell. UAC dialog couldn't be prompt correctly.

    Anyway, it would be a very bad idea, to give someone this problematic iPod as a gift to a friend, I would give it to someone I dont like, and let him feel your frustration.
