Restored Computer, can I save my applications?

I recently had to totally reinstall Snow Leopard, and was able to restore most of my files, but unfortunately my backup did not include several recently purchased applications that are present on my iPhone (I don't sync too often).
Now that I've restored my computer, it naturally doesn't recognize my iPhone as a device with which it is familiar, and therefore wants to erase all of its contents before syncing. Is there any way I can save these applications? Almost all of the data is already on my computer but I'd rather not lose the money I spent on these apps.

Can't save automator application

Under Lion, the automator on my computer doesn't have the "save as" button. Instead I can only save a version or duplicate.
The manual says that there should be a "save as" button, and it is needed to create an application.
How do I get the "save as" button back?
Is there a workaround to create applications?

When a file is not saved at all, there is no 'save a version' button.
There is only a 'save' button.
Duplicate is not the same thing as 'save as'. It creates a new window with a new name that's all.
But then I can say 'save' and be asked for the format.
This requires me to rename the thing and all, so they added several more steps and made things more complicated.

Copy the entire iTunes folder out to the drive. If it is too big to go as one copy stuff over to another computer in batches. It is important to have not only the media but the library file in order to properly restore your library.
See also this User Tip. Assuming the machine won't connect to the internet you could download the SyncToy installer on another machine and then transfer it with the thumb drive. If it will connect to the net don't forget to deauthorize the machine before reformatting the hard drive.

Unfortunely, all movies and songs purchased in iTunes will be lost...you'll have to purchase them again! Any applications you've purchased, you can download again for free.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know some details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what fixes have you tried?
where is you library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

You need the Domain.sites2 file that's located in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder in order to be able to manage and publish the site from another computer?
Do you have that file? If you do copy it to the same folder on the other computer and you're ready to go.
If not then you'll have to recreate the site from scratch. Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site. 1

I did not restore my new phone from back up because I did not realize I needed to restore and not just activitate it. How can I save the new photos, apps, and other stuff but retrieve the old photos?

If all you want is your old photos, you could backup your new phone using iTunes, then restore it from your iCloud backup, import the old photos to your computer, then restore it from the backup your made in iTunes returning your newer data to your phone. If you want your old photos on your phone, sync them there from your computer using iTunes. The process would look like this:
Connect your phone to your computer, when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar right-click on it and select Transfer Purchases; right-click again and select Backup.
Disconnect from your computer and go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings to return it to new
Go through the activation setup, choosing to Restore from iCloud backup. Make sure your phone is plugged into a charger and has access to wi-fi as this can take hours to complete.
When complete, without connecting your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to Preferences. On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Now import the old photos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083)
When done, open iTunes, right-click on the name of your phone on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose the backup you made in step 1.
Go to the Photos tab and select the photos you want to sync to your phone and sync.

I currently run all the CS4 applications on my MacBook Pro as they were installed to the hard drive. I was wondering just in case something happens to my MacBook Pro can I save a copy of all the CS4 applications to an external hard drive to re install off as I do not have access to the discs to re install again.

That's my question also. I have a computer about to go south on me and I want to back up my CS5 in order to not lose anything. I have "time machine" and use it regularly BUT won't I still have to buy another license in case my computer dies before I get a chance to "deactivate" my applications in order to reload on a new HD? I really think the Adobe has gone sour for me...

Right click on your device in the device list and choose "transfer purchases", this will copy all bought media from the iTunes store to your computer.
For all other media you'll have to use 3rd party software, for example Touchcopy , just to name one of the many.
