Restored iPad - Can't get Apple ID

Here's a good one.
A non-IT person set up the company's iPads years ago.
Dumb Move #1: They set up the apple ID [email protected] and set the alternative email as the same.
Dumb Move #2: No one knows who set up the account. Whomever did it is long gone and we don't know the personal question answers.
Dumb Move #3. The ipad got so screwed up that it was restored back to factory default. It now requires the original apple ID and password to get past the startup screens. There is no way of accessing it.
Any words of wisdom? I can't consider the iPad junk due to a stupid password situation.
If I get a hold of it and do a full wipe back to factory default, can I bypass putting in wirless and then switch the apple ID to a new one? Or will I always have some sort of problem because apple sees the device as belonging to that old ID?

If it is requiring an ID and password to activate, that's activation lock (wiping won't help). There is no way around it, and you will not be able to activate and use it without the correct ID and password. If you can't contact the person who set it up, you won't be able to use it.

iPad can connect only in one iTunes Library. If you want to connect it to a iTunes Library then you have to erase it. You can erase it from iTunes. Make sure you iPad doesn't have a password, or if it has a password make sure that you connect to the computer and enter the password of your iPad

You needed to erase the HDD and reinstall the version of OS X with which the Mac shipped from the factory from the restore DVDs that came with it if that was Snow Leopard and from OS Recovery if that was Lion. If Lion, you also need to call Apple Care and request that the Mac be released from your Apple ID.
By doing this your friend is then free to set the Mac up as a new purchase in his own name with his own Apple ID.
BTW, any software that you bought from the MAS with your Apple ID cannot be given to your friend. That would be software piracy.

There is not "fix" to be provided, Apple made a decision to not include the file sharing profile.

It is syncing through everything and then failing to close out. If I disconnect then the libraries are all there although I have lost a movie and a few tracks downloaded as a result of this.

Installed Windows 7 on my IMac, now I can't get Apple OS to work

Installed Windows 7 on my IMac, now I can't get Apple OS to work, I have tried booting with Snow Leopard disc in and nothing works. I had trouble from the start but now nothing works except Windows 7, sound wont work etc. etc.

I originally tried installing Widows 7 so I could run my Flight Simulator X on the IMac I got from my daughter and I used BootCamp and had partitioned it at about 4GB for windows and the first thing I got was I had to put a bootable disc in and neither the windows 7 or Snow Leopard would work. Then I got Windows 7 to work but I can't get Snow Leopard to run, when I put the disc in it says that it not supported. Of course windows wont show me anyother areas of the disc that I could try to get to, the other side of the partition I guess. I have tried holding the C key down on reboot and that doesn't work. I hope this gives you a little more insight as to what is going on. Thanks Bill

It's not a 'process' at all.
If it was easy/straightforward, people would be turning store versions into iBA versions left/right and all **** would break loose. It's not and that's a good thing, sorry
Work up from whatever version you have.
Any work you value should be backed up....period. That backup should be used and tested regularly. Consider this a lesson learned, perhaps. Good luck in the future.
