Restored iPod, songs wont show?

It started off a few months ago when one of our family computers was stolen. My brother primarily used that computer for his iTunes and I used another one (this one) for my iTunes. Once it was stolen, we tried to transfer his songs to this computer, and no luck. It only transferred my songs to his iPod. This didn't bother him because we had a similair taste in music, but now he wants his old songs back. I made seperate accounts on the computer for me and him, and I basically erased all of my songs off of his iPod. The problem now is pulling up the songs that he previously purchased. I signed on to his account, and they didnt show up. How do I retrieve them.
Long story short:
1: My songs replace brothers songs on his ipod.
2: Made seperate accounts for each of us, restored (deleted) his iPod.
3: Signed into his iTunes account, music wont show up.
Any help or links appreciated.

So your brother's songs are still on his iPod? Or not? I am confused.

There are two videos on my ipod that I want deleted but they wont show up in itunes. Can anyone help me? They take up too much space on my ipod and I want them gone without having to restore everything.

Dumb question - How did they get on your iPod if they are not in iTunes? Anyway, you can try swiping across the title and deleting it within the iPod. Then sync. If they appear to return, they are in iTunes someplace (you can search for them).

8g Second Gen, iPod Touch wont show up on iTunes?

I use a Mac OSX, Snow Leopard.
I've tried several different chargers with my iPod, but it wont show up on iTunes. iPhoto will come up and say it's synced, and the iPod itself will show that it is charging. But it wont show up on iTunes so I can listen to my music or add songs. This is random, and has never happened before.

Ipod songs wont play

I have had my 80gb Ipod for about 6 months now and have had no problems with it untill now. i have not dropped it or damaged it in anyway. i recently got a new hard plastic case for it and it and now the songs wont play. at first 1 song would play then after it was done it would skip to a random song in that album and not play, then it would play some songs and not others. i have not DL any new programs, music, games or anything on it for weeks. i have like 10,000 songs on it and it has taken me a long time to do so, so i dont wanna reset it, is there any other way to fix this?

Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". . If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. One thing to be aware of with manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit>Preferences>iPod>Music tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.

Ipod touch wont show up in usb or itunes help pages just bring me in circles. how can i get it to show up. I use windows xp at home and tried everything then tried a relatives computer using windows 7 and still nothing. this is an older ipod touch

Im using windows xp at home and though maybe it was because of that. so went to a relatives and used a brand new lap top avus with windows 7 and it wont show up here either. i've been recently dying to get my 30 GB ipod back to the state it once used to be (really extended library before i had to send it back to get a new one) and just today, i turned it on to find that not one of my songs are there!!! my pictures, however, still show up.
really upset, i plugged it into my computer to find that none of the songs show up there either but iPod still has just about the same amount of GB used as it did when the songs did show.
at that time, i had a bubble on my toolbar read:
itunes.exe - corrupt file..the file or directory \ipod_control\itunes\itunesprefs is corrupt and unreadable. please run the chkdsk utility

After unlocking the iPod, double click the Home button. Swipe the bottom row to theright past the music controls. Tap the the circular arrow icon with the padlock inside to turn of the screen-rotation lock.

Ipod Songs wont go into library

well i just got a new computer and i want my Ipod songs in my library, but the songs on my Ipod are greyed-out and i cannot access them, and i keep gettign a message saying "this Ipod is registered to a different library, do you want to register it to this libarary and delete songs from the old libarary and replace them with these ones?"

You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes. The transfer of non iTMS content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod, the transfer of purchased tracks has recently been introduced with iTunes 7. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not have caught up with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

Ipod shuffle wont show on new computer

I just got a new computer and downloaded itunes. I transerred my playlists and music to it already. However, my ipod playlist doesnt show on the left side of my itunes under "Store" like it did on my old computer. Now i can't download new music to my ipod. I am going away in a few days and i would really like o have some new music on my ipod! Please help!!!!!

Ipod touch wont show up in itunes

i got my dads old ipod touch and i wanted to get rid of everything on it so i restored it. When i plugged it back in the computer to put my music on it it said itunes could not connect to this ipod an unknown error has occurred. I then looked online and people said to try to restore it again. i did and the same thing happened. I then updated itunes, and my ipod is up to date. It still wont work!

Ipod songs not showing up in itunes

Although my ipod (5G - new in October) is showing up in itunes, it is not showing any of the songs on it. Today i imported two new CDs into itunes, and then added them onto the ipod - which says it has imported them, but they are not actually showing up on the ipod. I presume these two problems are linked. I have tried reinstalling both itunes and ipod software - but had no luck.... Does anyone know what I can do?

I am adding them as normal via itunes - dragging and dropping as my ipod is set up for manual rather than automatic update. Have been using an ipod for about four years and always done it this way without a problem.
The ipod is showing up in itunes, but as if it is empty (ie no music showing up) despite the fact that it says 25G is being used. Also, all the music i transferred yesterday onto the ipod - which is the only thing showing up as if it is on there when you look at it on itunes - is not actually on there at all....
It's a mystery!

Ipod song wont play

i just got my new iskin case, and i dont know if this has anything do with it, but sometimes when i had to play songs, they refuse to play whether i press play, pause, play again or when i select a new song. i had to reset it twice already! does anyone know whats wrong?

Be glad you can reset or put it to sleep and wake it up. I can't even do that. Mine stays at 0:00 regardless of what you do. I can't listen to music at all no matter what. You can reset it, put it to sleep, plug the headphones in while its on, while its off, while its starting up... it doesn't matter... I've tried everything. I've even completely uninstalled iTunes, iPod, and QuickTime, then formatted the iPod's hard drive through Windows, restored factory settings, then re-installed the latest versions of iTunes & iPod updater and updated the firmware and still can't play SHlT. Steve jobs can suck my dìck... more than a few times actually... 'cause he's gonna need to do a lot of suckin to make it worth my $300.
