Restored my ipod now only have 1.83 gb of free space

Hello,
I restored my sons's ipod due to the locked out code problem but now his songs which fit before don't fit. Please help! My son is distraught - which kinda makes me distraught, too.

Could you please tell me how you solved your problem? My Ipod says it has 1GB available space but when I try to add songs to it says it doesn't have enough room to copy files. I don't want to restore it because I will lose all my playlists...

If your System drive has only 35MB free space you had better do something about that. Free up a bit of space on it.

I am trying to sync 11 new songs onto my iPod, and I have over 2 GB of free space, but my computer keeps telling me I can't sync because I need more space. How can that be?

My iPod touch is not syncing correctly. I'm trying to add 11 new songs, and a message pops up telling me I need 24 more mb of space. In the bar below, it says I have over 2 gb of space free. Additionally, a playlist I was trying to add songs to is not adding the correct songs. In my iTunes, it has all the music, but when I synced, only 2 of the songs were transfered onto my actual iPod. I don't know what's going on or why. Help is much appreciated!!

Make sure that yo have the boxed chanced to only sync the checked music. It appears that it is trying to sync ore than those.
You can try unsycing all music and resyncing.

Sync with the same computer iTunes that you normally sync with.

If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, there is a hardware problem.

At some point in the past, I synched with Gmail. Looking at my Gmail contacts, I can see that it's missing the same contacts I'm currently missing from the iPhone. Is it possible that I may have done that sync back in October 2009 (but not since) and then somehow recently over-wrote my contacts content with whatever was there? Is there some setting I could have tripped to make something like that happen?
