Restoring 15GB+ Backup

Hello all:
I want to first say that I am by no means an expert at SQL but can figure things out if explained to me properly. Due to a motherboard going out on me, I had to purchase a new server (well, used so that I could install Windows Server 2003 Standard, not R2).
I use SQL Server 2000 and was able to install it on my new server, but, when I attempt to restore my very large backup (from 2009 thru Jan of this year), it is only pulling in data through 12-13-2009.
I am confident that there is a simple reason for this, and I 'hope' that I will be able to restore the entire db. Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

David, while looking at the instructions in the link you sent me, I'm assuming I stop after #4? Here is #5 and on:
Use your copy of SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine to open any working Access project.
Click Queries, and then click New.
In the New Query dialog box, click Create Text Stored Procedure, and then click
OK.
Type the following statements in the new procedure.
NOTE: Some of the general stored procedure text may already be there. Also, your copy of SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine may be on a drive other than drive C.
Create Procedure AttachDB
As
EXEC sp_attach_db @dbname = 'pubs',
@filename1 = 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data\pubs.mdf',
@filename2 = 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data\pubs_log.ldf'
return
Save the stored procedure, and then close it.
Double-click AttachDB to run it. Note that you receive a message that indicates that no records were returned. Click
OK.
At this point, the pubs sample database is attached to your installation of SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine, and you can create new Access projects from it.
