Restoring applications previously purchased on another country's AppStore

Hi,
Just purchased another iOS device (iPad mini), I am wondering why apps previously purchased on AppStore are not available for download
Please note I purchased them from France's AppStore, but now, my iCloud account is setup for the US (since I moved and changed my credit card)
Thanks in advance

Removed payment details and tried to re-buy Dictionnaire Larousse, following the security checks, I received a message telling me "this update is free because you own a previous version of this item"
However, it was unsuccessful with all EA apps

  • How to replace a faulty iPhone4 in India (purchased in another country, still in warranty?)

I would like to know how to find a replacement for a faulty iPhone4 in India (purchased in another country, which is still under warranty?)
    Please help. Thankx.

Expanding on what RG said, the warranty on an iPhone, with the exception of those purchased in the European Union, is country-specific, so you will need to send the iPhone back to a friend or relative in the country in which the iPhone was original sold to take or send it to Apple or the appropriate service provider. You will not be able to get the iPhone serviced in India.

  • HT201389 Update apps purchased in another country's App Store?

Will I be able to update apps purchased in another country's App Store?

I already have this mess. No you will not. Unless you change back to the country that you bought the app from. Oh, but then you run into the problem that you need a valid address and payment method from that country.
So no, if you move to another country, Apple will steal all your apps.

  • Apple ID and purchase in another country

Can an old apple ID for another country be used for purchase from another country???

Not unless you are physically in the country whose iTunes Store you wish to use and can provide a payment method issued in that country. If so, then you can change the country of your iTunes Store account to that new country.

  • Cannot purchase from another country's iTunes....

I know we cannot purchase from another country's iTunes, but how about if someone in that country gifted songs to us? For example, my wife here in the U.S. wants stuff from the Japanese iTunes store but can't buy it; can her sister in Japan "gift this song" to her? Thanks.

No, you can only successfully gift to people who are in the same country as yourself - the gifting may appear to go though, but your wife won't be able to redeem it

  • Can I update apps purchased in another country

Hi. I live in Japan and I've purchased the some iPhone and Mac apps in the Japanese iTunes App Store. Now I am moving to Brazil and I want to keep the same Apple user id, but my billing info will change, so I won't be able to use the Japanese iTunes store anymore. I should be able to access the Brazilian store instead, because the country of my billing info will change. Even free updates are considered "buying" so I am concerned I might not be able to update my apps because updates need to happen in the store of the country where you originally purchased the app.
Can I update in the Brazilian store an app purchased in the Japanese store? Any tips or suggestions?

  • How can I purchase an iPhone app that is not available in the AppStore I'm registered in but is available in another country's AppStore?

Hello, guys. My problem is that I want to purchase an iPhone app that is not available in my AppStore(s). I am registered in the Japanese and Russian AppStores, and the app I want is available only in the American AppStore. Do I have to change my AppStore for this? And how can I do it? Or do I have to create a new Apple ID for the American AppStore? I tried to do the latter, but it requires a billing address located in the US, which I don't have. What are my options?
    Thank you in advance.

No worries. The forums can be a bit confusing to navigate at first.
You might want to contact the developer of the app in which your interested and suggest they offer it in your country. There may be reasons they can't but if they can and they know there's interest, they just might.
    Best of luck.

  • Replacement Service for an iphone which is purchased in another country

    Hi,
I have an iphone5 which its proximity sensor does not work. In Australia I went to Melbourne Apple Center and after inspection they want to replace it with a new one, but after seeing its part number (including LL/A), they refuse to replace it because it is not an Australian iphone. It should be noted that I also have an applecare service for my iphone. Now I am really confused what I shall do for this case. I cannot go to USA at the moment and I need my iphone which now it's really useless for calling when I do not want to use handsfree. My current apple support case number is 426298085 and I have D87469214, 426306629 and D87468601 apple service request numbers which have been canceled due to the mentioned reason.
More easy and better customer services are really expected from apple. I am one of your loyal customer who is sad of your bad services in this case. Please guide me how could I replace my phone at the earliest possible time.
    Regards,
    Hamed

From applecare protection plan for iphone:
"6.2 Apple reserves the right to change the method by which Apple may provide repair or replacement service to you, and your Covered Equipment’s eligibility to receive a particular method of service. Service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. Service options, parts availability and response times may vary according to country. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the Covered Equipment cannot be serviced in the country it is in. If you seek service in a country that is not the country of purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges. For international service, Apple may repair or exchange defective products and parts with comparable products and parts that comply with local standards."
Haha. Known issue maybe means there are several numbers of replacement for this reason. A quick internet search shows such a thing...

  • IPhone applications previously purchase using iTunes on Windows machine

I have just got my new macbook and is in the process of using my iPhone with iTunes on the Mac. I have my songs on a network server so I have little concern about losing them. However, I bought some applications for my iPhone. The warning message when attempting to sync my iPhone with iTunes for application gives little encourage for me to proceed. Is they anyone who knows how help me to transit to using iTunes on my mac with my iphone without the risk of losing my purchased applications?

I just got a Touch 32GB yesterday and ran into the same problem. I have two PCs in the house that I can sync my iPods on, but I normally use one that DOESN'T have an internet connection, so that the one that does is free for others to use ... a great argument and tension solution, btw.
Anyway, I hooked up the older "iTunes" PC to the net for a first-time sync with the Touch, and ran into this problem. First it kept detecting the Touch as an unidentified iPhone, then I couldn't sync my classic either. Then I found a post here about how when multiple USB ports running off same USB controller seem to screw with the Touch/iPhone syncing.
So I disconnected all but 2 of my USB 2.0 slots (the Touch & the Portable HD with my iTunes Library) and now it's working perfectly. I don't know if this will solve your problem, but it might be worth a try.

  • Purchasing from another country's iTunes store

    Hi,
I am based in Australia and use iTunes extensively to buy music. Some of the songs that I am after are not available on the Australia iTunes store, but are on the US site. Is there a (legal) way to purchase these songs?
    Rael

    Hi, Rael.
Is there a (legal) way to purchase these songs?
Unless you happen to have a residence and credit card billing address in the States, unfortunately there isn't.
The reason why has to do with the business part of the music business so, for a bit of insight into the present situation, let's have a look at to This Business of Music (10th Edition) (by M. William Krasilovsky and Sydney Shemel) :
The difficulty of establishing workable business models for digital files (...) extends to where they are sold and where they are played. This is the issue of territoriality, and it is an illustration of how the Internet makes it necessary to reexamine basic assumptions that have been taken for granted (...).
(....) In the music business the primary problem is that copyrights are national and therefore specific rights are tied to national laws and the interpretations of national courts.
(.... T)hough we can one day hope to see the development of common standards with respect to copyright, the fact that the music business is building upon a history of nation-specific contractual relationships means that the goal of universal international standards is not, for the forseeable future, a practical one.
(...) Adding to the difficulty (...) the copyrights themselves may have been assigned to different companies in different territories. The best hope for a cleaner start and a simpler future is worldwide recognition that digital uses are in fact - and should be in law - totally new.

  • Downloading songs previously purchased on another computer

I bought about ten episodes of a tv show on my parent's computer and started downloading them, figuring that I could simply download them on the internet-accessible computer and transfer the files from this computer to my laptop via my flashdrive (I couldn't use the internet on my laptop >:(. However, due to external (and annoying) circumstances, I must stop downloading these files on this computer's iTunes. I was wondering if one could purchase songs on one computer, not download them on that computer, and then download these songs on another computer that is authorized through my account? Someone plz reply BEFORE I attack my mother.........

yeah, you should be able to stop the downloads on the first PC.
Then select “Check for Available Downloads” under the Store menu in iTunes 8 (or “Check for Purchases” under the Store menu in iTunes 7) on the 2nd PC when you get to it.
The ones you have already downloaded, you'll have to copy over with your flash drive.

  • Can I stream purchases in another country?

I am moving from UK to Singapore; will I be able to stream content purchased on UK account to Apple TV in Sg? Or do I have to download everything to my desktop & stream from my computer then set up a new iTunes account in Sg? Is there a way to migrate purchases from different countries to one cloud? I have content from both US & UK & likely soon from Sg! Thank you.

will I be able to stream content purchased on UK account to Apple TV in Sg? Or do I have to download everything to my desktop
Just for the sake of argument, suppose somebody on this forum says "Yes."  Are you then going to leave for Singapore without a downloaded copy of your content?
Download it -- please -- and take it with you.  If you are not taking your desktop, then copy the content to a flash drive or an external hard drive.

  • Is there a way to access music purchased in another country??

I recently returned home to Canada from Australia.  Doing so I returned my itunes account to Canadian information,  an unforseen result is that all of my music that I purchased in Australia has been locked out and is unable to play however still downloads to my computer.  I sincerely hope there is a way to access this music?
    Any help greatly appreciated

Tracks you buy from the iTunes Store are not copy protected, though, and haven't been for a couple of years now.
    Regards.

  • Getting OTA updates and App store purchases from another country

    Hello,
I'm thinking of buying a Palm Pre in Germany (where I live at the moment), but I'm moving to Israel in a couple of months.  My cellphone carrier in Israel will probably be Cellcom.  Will it be possible for me to receive these OTA updates? And will I be able to purchase Apps while I'm there?
    Thanks,

Same question. I moved from the Macau store to the French store. All my apps and music don't appear in 'purchased' in the iTunes Store and the Mac App Store. I guess it's alright for the apps because I can see what I have in my library, but it's a bit more annoying for the Mac App Store. I was planning to buy an iMac and of course connect to the Stores using my apple id, then download all the apps on the new computer but it seems it's not gonna make it.
