Restoring calendar from the cloud?

I lost all my calendar entries.  How do I restore them from the cloud?

Go to icloud.com on your computer, sign into your iCloud account and make sure your calendars are still there.  If they are, go to Settings>iCloud and turn Calendars to On, if prompted, choose merge.  If they aren't, then unless you have a different backup such as Outlook or Mac iCal/Calendar, you won't be able to recover them.

  • I just replaced the hard drive on myn Macbook pro and am now trying to import my address book and calendar from the cloud but have not ben successful

I am seeking how to bring my data from the cloud to my laptop after having had the hard drive replaced

    Open System Preferences > ICloud
Make sure Contacts and Calendars are selected.
iCloud should sync your data automatically.

  • Print calendar from the cloud

I'm trying to print a calendar but can't seem to get it to print from the cloud.

Print it from the calendar application on your computer.
If your Mac is running 10.6.8 as your signature suggests, you'll need to update it to 10.7.5 or later to use iCloud on it.

  • Need help restoring contacts from the cloud on my iPhone 4s.

Before I upgrade to IOS 6, I would like to restore my phone and start fresh. I've been backing up my iPhone with each upgrade I get every year and running off the same backup. I continue to get weird issues that I think could be solved by starting from scratch. The only data I want carried over are my contacts. Is it possible to get my contacts back on my phone without restoring from a backup? I wasn't quite sure how the Contacts work via the cloud, and I'm afraid to restore my phone without knowing this first. Thanks!

Sorry. Maybe I didnt explain my question properly. When I go under ICloud on my phone, I have an option to sync my contacts. Currently, I have the Contacts set to on. If I completely restore my phone and then sign in with my apple ID, will I be able to get my contacts back on my phone? From what I've been told in the past, the only way to get contacts back on your phone, is to restore from a backup via ITunes on your PC. I'm hoping that's changed.

  • How do I retrieve data from the cloud to put back on my iPad after it was restarted, I.e. my calendar, notes, reminders?

I took my 1st gen iPad to an Apple store because of some glitches in the operating system, and I had forgotten my restrictions pass code. They backed up my data on the cloud, then took everything off of my iPad to basically "start over" with a new iPad. Now I don't know how to retrieve my calendar, notes, reminders. Somehow my contacts are there. I went to general settings and made sure the cloud was turned on, but I don't know how to pull from the cloud what we had previously backed up. Thanks for ANY suggestions:)

When you have forgotten a restrictions password, you can no long restore from a backup that had the restrictions turned on.  You can only start over with a full reset.
But you can sign back into icloud (Setting>icloud) and turn on the services you have used before (calendars, reminders, etc...).  That will sync down the data to your ipad.

  • New update deleted all of my lecture notes and wouldn't restore recent backup. How can I download them from the cloud to my iPad? (not at my computer right now)

(It's fifteen minutes before class starts)
I tried to back up all of my devices before making the update to 7.0.6.
My iPad was ejected and iTunes told me that it couldn't be updated due to some error (this was yesterday). Then when I plugged it back in, it said I needed to restore my iPad, and I couldn't get to the home screen or anything, it just showed a "Connect to iTunes" icon. So it restored a really early version (with notes from last semester but not from this semester), even though I'm sure I've backed it up at least twice since I got it (1-13-14).
I got onto the Cloud and downloaded some important lecture notes before performing the update just to make sure that they would all be up to date, but those are on my computer, which I am currently not at, so I can't download them. I saw that my iPad was syncing with my Cloud, so my college notes were all showing up, and I didn't stick around to make sure that the current ones showed up (but they're on my cloud, so wouldn't they?).
Also, I use Branchfire's iAnnotate PDF, and all of my highlighted articles for research papers and summaries are gone. I'm missing important articles that had notes for two seminars, and they're all gone. I'm confident I can recover things from the cloud, but iAnnotate doesn't use the cloud. Is there a way to find those again?
What I'm curious about right now is if there's a way to download from the Cloud to my iPad, because that's where my notes are.
Does the cloud sync FROM my iPad? As in, if it isn't on my iPad will it delete documents from my Cloud? Or if it's in the Cloud, will it sync to my iPad if it's absent here?
This is really frustrating, especially because I TRIED to back everything up just to be safe. I tried everything, and I still lost all of my important files. This is beyond frustrating, it's devastating. This is unacceptable.

There are some recovery programs out there if you google them - many with free trials. I haven't tried them so I have no opinion.Read any professional tech and user reviews you can find before you try one. I have read here in the past that some have worked for people who have posted here.
To help in the future, have you considered using Jump Desktop - Remote Desktop? I know it won't solve the problem you're dealing with now (unless notes were taken on your computer.) It's in the app store. It's the #1 paid app in the business category and the reviews are great. It allows you to see anything that's on your computer on your ipad. If you take your notes on your ipad then you might want to email them to yourself, put them on Word in your computer, for example, and then if you need them in class, you remotely connect your ipad to your computer and you will see your notes. This way you won't have to rely so much on the cloud. The explanation would be too long here, but you might want to take a look at it. You can use the free trial on jumpdesk.com and then if it works for you, buy it in the app store.
Meanwhile, it's hours since you sent this post. Hopefully others who can help solve your problem who are on this forum now can help you. I hope you get your notes back. Don't give up too quickly.
    Hope this helps.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Can I do a duplicate search to delete on my ipod classic 120gb only?  There are no duplicates on my itunes... I think these duplicates arose when I did a restore, and had to reload from the cloud, and my computer backup.... please help...

I have an ipod classic 120gb...
Somehow I have managed to get mutiple duplicates.....
I had a computer crash... and I restore several songs from the cloud, and from my computer backup from an external drive...
and also, from past purchases on itunes...... some songs I had loaded from my own cd collection....and songs had overlapped......
I knew I had duplicates before the crash and never took care of it.... but now of course there are more...
I have taken care of the duplicates in itunes, by deleting them one by one..... I made the mistake of checking boxes then highlighting and doing a mass delete... thinking it would only delete my check boxes.... and loss a lot of music... so had to restore backups again....
    so.......
Ipod......... how do I delete duplicates from the ipod, without loosing music from my ipod... I have lost music that is still there I believe on the Ipod that is not on my itunes... but I am not sure...and I can not find a search duplicates in itunes for Ipod....  can anyone help me on this... is there a way to do it, without going through 8 days of music line by line??
    Thank you

Restore the iPod and reload it from the library... Ah, but there might be media on the device that isn't in the library yes?
See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device and a script called DeDuper which can help remove unwanted duplicates from iTunes if you end up needing to do a blanket recovery from the iPod. See this  thread for background on DeDuper.

  • I upgraded to the new IOS, but lost data and apps. When I try and restore the only backup I see is the one made AFTER the lost data. How can I access an older backup from the cloud?

I upgraded to the new IOS, but lost data and apps. When I try and restore the only backup I see is the one it made AFTER the lost data. How can I access an older backup from the cloud?

Why don't you talk to apple and find out if backup exists? That conversation with apple will stop your guessing.

  • I am using iTunes Match, and wish to restore from the cloud to itunes. Why do I have to select one at a time to download?

I am using iTunes Match, and had to restore all of my music (.3000 songs). Problem is, I don't see where can restore them all at once. I can do it for all purchased items from the Cloud, but not for songs/content that I added on my own from CD's. I have had to click the cloud icon for each song....really, my hand is about to cramp. Is there a restore all function for non-purchased songs? If not, it needs to be added to the Match software.
    Thanks

Instead of steaming you can just download directly from the cloud.  Don't you see the cloud icon with a downward arrow? You may have already downloaded then then. Turn off iTM and see if the songs are still present.

  • Apple just replaced a defective iPad. How do I restore my data from the cloud to my iPad?

My iPad was replaced and would like to know, how do I restore my files from the cloud to my iPad?

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your device.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

Check the console app to see if there are any error messages. I had one app showing an issue (Pet Hotel) the error was (truncated):

I manually snyc'ed that particular app and then re-ran the restore and am now the proud owner of a working iphone. Not sure it is the same problem or app but looking in the console was the key!

  • HT4859 Restore from the Cloud

Solution Needed: When trying to restore backup of iPad from the cloud I get error "Could not sign in  Apple ID couldn't be created because of a server error".  I have good internet connection and am communicating with the server with my iPhone. Is there something I can do but wait and try later.

Your phone must be running the same or higher version of iOS as the one you backed up in order to restore the backup.  If it isn't, update it in iTunes, set it up as a new device, then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Conent and Settings, then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.  Your backup should then be available to restore from.
