Restoring default apps

please explain the process of getting back my default apps....

You may try re-installing the Firmware thru' Nokia Suite (Refer the Attachment) ..and if that doesn't work then visit Nokia Care to get the Firmware flashed ...

Jailbreaking is NOT supporrted by this community, but restoring with iTunes may help you.

TS3579 I found this useful because I did not know about the effect of typing in data and that you could only drag to rearrange the data. I had typed in data before and this had caused problems but restoring defaults did not cause correct dates to show up

I found this (TS3579: If the wrong date or time is displayed in some apps on your Mac Learn about If the wrong date or time is displayed in some apps on your Mac) useful because I did not know about the effect of typing in data and that you could only drag to rearrange the data. I had typed in data before and this had caused problems but restoring defaults did not cause correct dates to show up in Finder.

It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

How to restore default OS X Lion theme?

Recently, I downloaded an app named "Cloak" which changes the color of your Finder, but it didn't work so I uninstalled it. After I did that, it changed the buttons around. For example on Safari, when I press the red exit button it goes full screen instead. Other things happen too (Look at the photo) How do I restore default OS X Lion theme so that it goes to normal? It's really ******* me off, help me pleaseee?

An example of the 3rd party programs that people insist on installing and wonder why their systems go haywire.
I would suggest going to the developers site and seeing if they have a downloadable uninstaller.

If you install these eye candy programs, they become entwined with your core system and the result is often as we see above, or often worse, like data loss through disc or system failure.

Why are some of the default apps not on my iphone 4s ?

i restored my ihpone because i was once locked out of it and now some default apps ie : face time , youtube are not on my phone . and also i tried to upload music and itunes keeps saying " the iphone couldnt be synced because it cannot be found " and also keeps sayin " the apps on the iphone couldnt be synced becasue the apps on the iphone cannot be determined " WHAT DO I DO ???

FaceTime was is not an app - Settings > FaceTime > Toggle On
YouTube was removed with iOS 6. That was part of the Restore

Are you using WI-Fi sync when you get this message? You Restored with iTunes so I assume you have access to the device settings in iTunes. Try to sync with iTunes

Fireworks as default app for jpg files

I was able to configure Fireworks to be the defaul app for jpgs - and when I click on a jpg file in my file manager, - Fireworks launches - but the image file that I clicked on does not open.
I like to be able to find a file using Windows Explorer (using Windows 7) and then click on it to launch in Fireworks - although it worked with 5.5 - it is not working with 6.0.
What am I doing wrong?

I tested this on my Windows 7 system and it worked okay with the method I described. Fireworks wasn't in the list so I had to hit the Browse button and direct it to the Fireworks.exe after which double-clicking a jpeg image opened the image in Fireworks CS6. This functionality is a feature of Windows not the Adobe software. All of the file associations are based off of related Windows registry entries.
Things you could try
1) Specify a different default app like Windows Picture and Fax viewer and then try switching it to Fireworks CS6 again
Not an official Adobe solution, try at your own risk!
2) Try resetting the file assocations to the Windows defaults then associating it again
Had you deleted jpeg previously?

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

All my default apps disappeared, how did that happen?

I was just deleting some unuseful Apps through iTunes, after syncing all my default apps are gone, even my "settings" icon.
On my iTunes, the summary of my iphone indicated that there are 88 apps, but when i count it, there's just 79.
Help, anyone?

unless you can give us more information you only solution is to restore your backup from before this happened
What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? what do you see when you launch iPhoto? What has recently changed?

i have an isue with my pod tough 4th gen, i cant find any of the default apps, including settings! i tried recovery mode, didnt work, i tried dfu mode (not sure what that does i just heard about it) didnt work. anything else i can try please tell me!

Have you ever had any Apps on this iPod Touch?
If so, what happend just before they disappeared, what did you do?
Is there not even one folder with them all in it?
Are they on another page?
Default Apps cannot be removed from the Touch and if the Touch developed a "glitch" whih did cause them to "disappear", then a Restore would sort that out. I assume that you mean Restore when you state "recovery" mode. If not, then you need to perform a Restore.

All default apps crashes!!!!

i have an iphone4...but for no apparent reason...almost all the default apps like safari,mail,youtube,photos and camera crashes whenever i open them...i tried rebooting but they still crash...can somebody...anybody help me?cos this *****!-.-

There is no such thing as "rebooting" on iOS. Try to Reset your device.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).
If that doesn't help, do a Restore.

CD Burning; restore default application

I inadvertently set my G4 iMac to always open Toast Titanium to burn a CD. I like Toast but would like to be able to also use Apple's included Burn function for straightforward burning of material in Mac format.
But I cannot find the Burn application and now it seems to be grayed out when I insert a blank CD.
How do I restore the default?
I recall being told there is someplace, some utility in which I can change default launch setting for the built in applications such as iTunes and Burn.Where is that location?

System Preferences->CDs&DVDs and set the default app, depending on the various options, therein.

If you don't remember the password you have 2 choices.
Restore from a backup made before the password was set,
Or completely restore the phone to factory defaults. All data and settings will be lost.

Lost factory default apps after clean install

Hello there. I need some help in getting back my factory default apps, please. Here's the history. I bought my B50-30 AIO about a month ago, along with a subscription to Office 365, to use for work (I work from home). For work, I use vpn and in-house software. It turns out that the in-house software isn't compatible with Office 365. The IT at work tried explaining it to me but it went over my head. So IT ended up uninstalling 365 and I had to buy a full version of Office 2013. We installed this and tried to get it working with the in-house software, but alas it still wasn't working. The tech department were scratching their heads for two days and came back and said the only way they could get it working was if I did a clean reinstall of Windows. Eeek! Not being overly tech savvy, they sent me a link to download installation media to a USB drive, which I did. The link was to Microsoft's website. I then carried out their instructions. You can guess the rest. Lo and behold, upon finishing the installation I discovered I'd lost all my factory default apps I've scoured the Internet looking for ways to get them back. So far I've managed to get Dolby Plus audio, Pokki, Lenovo Solutions Centre and Companion. I've also downloaded the Lenovo System Update with Dependency package but upon running it, it says I don't have any applicable applications. Is there any way I can get my apps back please, particularly the Cyberlink/Lenovo Power2Go and DVD10 and the rescue system? I've tried searching the Lenovo website, but I obviously need a lesson in how to operate that as well! I did manage to do a backup with the Lenovo Backup//Recovery app, but I now don't have an app to run it with. Besides which, I only want the apps back, not the rest of it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
