Restoring disabled plug-ins

Logic disabled a handful of my plug-ins due to lack of memory (the line is going through them in the insert). Since then I've frozen tracks and bounced a couple tracks in place that were not affected by this to free up memory. But how do you actually restore a disabled plug-in? I've twigged settings in these and I'd rather not have to start from scratch. Does Logic do this automatically when it thinks you've freed up enough memory?

You can see which plugs are disabled because those will have a diagonal line through them on the insert slots.
Once you've bounced any tracks which do not have this line through any of the plugin slots, you must completely de-instantiate some of the plugins on these bounced tracks. It is not enough to simply bypass them, and freezing will not free up RAM. It only frees up CPU.
Bouncing and RemovIng the plugins will now free some RAM. Now you should save as a separate version. It is best at this point to close your song and reopen this version saved with the reduced plugins. Upon reopening you should see fewer plugins disabled. The settings of the previously disabled plugs will remain intact; you should not need to restore their settings.
I was goIng to say you might be able to just go to the audio preferences and disable then relaunch the audio engine, but I would not rely on this working well and it really wouldn't save that much time anyway.
Also, depending on how far over the limit you are and how many bounces you do, you may need to repeat this process a couple of times until you get far enough below the RAM limit.

  • Why does this keep popping up five tabs at a time: Index of file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/ - please note that I recently updated firefox and tried disabling plug-ins, etc. My virus software is up to date. Thanks.

The page listed above pops up in a Firefox browser window with five tabs open usually when checking email but sometimes while surfing the net and repeatedly. Some include a 'problem loading page' notice with the following:
Firefox can't find the server at www.xn---jca9qmb.com.
    or
Firefox can't find the server at www.xn--dx%if-61a864d.com.
These are the last two of the five tabs that pop up together.
This has happened nine times in the past five to ten minutes.
Since my Norton is up to date and I have recently updated Firefox and plug-ins, I assume this is a software problem however disabling plug-ins and other items has not solved the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi
YES it does, HOWEVER in the past Most (not all) Beta auto updates did not trigger Comodo Firewall problem (BUT occasionally did) and I resolved the same way (namely uninstalling and installing a full install.
I do not know if having Aurora AND BETA both installed causes any conflicts regarding this issue
I am NOW going to uninstall Maintenance service, Beta and Aurora retaining only my add-on and preferences. I will delete all Comodo rules for them Then I will download an older update of both Beta and Aurora and see what happens
Will report back in 30 mins

Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.42 is the most recent version from Adobe. It is a pre-release version. I am using it without any noticeable problems.

  • Disable plug-ins option not present

Using Adobe Dreamweaver CC version 13.2 build 6466 on Windows, I don't see the "Disable plug-ins" option under the View > Live View Options" menu item.

Probably because there are no plug-ins in DW.  Are you talking about DW extensions?  If so then you can remove them.  In CS6 one can go to:
    Help >> Manage Extensions
From the list of extensions select one and click on "Remove" and it is removed.
I don't use CC version s#but I suspect the method should still be the same unless somebody currently using CC version can post back to provide an alternative answer.

  • Why cant I disable plug ins?

I was using mobile broadband to connect to the Internet. Because it was prepaid and video was what ate up the most MBs I disabled all the plug-ins such as flash player, realplayer etc...that allowed video to run on webpages.
This worked just fine and since I didn't care about video it wasnt a problem and I did it for over a year.
Recently I subscribed to cable broadband so I no longer use the mobile broadband. I enabled all the video plug-ins and I am all set.
The problem lies in the following. I gave the mobile broadband device to my mother to use for her desktop as I did. She has a computer but only uses it to check email etc...in a very limited capacity to where paying for a monthly Internet ISP doesn't make much sense so the prepaid mobile broadband is perfect.
She is running Windows Vista and Firefox version-3.6
The problem is when I go into her firefox to disable the same video plug-ins that I disabled on mine, they do not stay disabled which allows video to play on all sites which burns through her prepaid Internet balance at an insane rate. I am able to disable them however as soon as I restart firefox, they are automatically enabled again. I've tried a dozen times or more and have tried rebooting the computer, etc... and nothing works. They are disabled but as soon as firefox restarts and I check they are once again enabled.
Can you please tell me what is going on and how to fix it? I Feel bad because she specifically got rid of her Internet service because I gave her this to use and now she cant use it because it is costing a fortune.
    Thank You

Unchecked 'Enable SMTP', 'Enable IMAP' and 'Enable POP', then checked 'Deliver to /var/mail
That seemed to 'disable the mail service'
As for disk usage, i'm running a cron job every minute so que queue had close to 6k mails it couldn't deliver. deleted them all " sudo postsuper -d ALL " and redirected output on the cron job to /dev/null

  • Disable plug ins

I have installed the templates for Aperture named Graphic Node. Now I don´t know to remove them.

Make sure you're checking both locations: Root of the hard drive as well as the Library folder inside your user folder (which is hidden by default).

    Hi Joe ..
    You can disable plug-ins.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
    Deselect:  Allow Plug-ins
To remove internet plug-ins is another process altogether.

After uninstalling and installing several times, Java plug-in is still undetected. Support suggested I open up the control panel and click update but there isn't such an option. The advance tab, there aren't any options to enable or disable plug-ins.

If you're running Java 7, then in System Preferences > Java > Java Control Panel in the Security tab there is a check box to enable Java in your browser. To check for update go to the Update tab.

  • Scoll Lagging FF7.0.1: fine in safe mode, continues to lag when not even when extensions and plug-ins are disabled (reinstalled, problem continues)

a few days ago, all web pages started to lag when scrolling. Tried safe mode and speed was restored. returned to normal mode and disabled all plug-ins and extension, however, there was no effect upon the scroll lagging. performed a complete Kaspersky virus check with no issues. Other programs on desktop (ex: outlook) are running concurrently at speed without issue. IE is not running with scroll lag.
Oh, BTW, I don't know if it is related, but I was in China last week. and Only noticed this scroll lagging here in the US when I opened it this morning ... so, perhaps there is a site preference issue?

If it boots OK in Safe Mode, the you want to check those possible causes outlined in this article.

  • Firefox plug in container has stopped working, even in safe mode with plug ins disabled

My firefox keeps crashing every 5 - 10 minutes. Sometimes I get a windows error message saying "firefox plugin container stopped working", but most times I don't. These are the actions I've taken so far, with no effect:
    1. Updated all my plug-ins
    2. Run firefox in safe mode with plug-ins disabled
    3. Uninstalled and reinstalled firefox
    4. Run an AVG scan which turned up nothing
Can anyone offer advice on how to fix this (very annoying) problem?
I've had to write this in IE because firefox wouldn't stay open long enough for me to copy and paste it into the text box.

Try creating a new Profile by following the steps from [[Managing Profiles]] [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and also [[The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed]]

  • I have been using aurora and updated to 12.0a2 and my computer continually freezes even after disabling all plug-ins and i have even dumped stuff from the memory on my hard drive.

i continually get the same 12.0a2 update box that pops up in the bottom right corner even though i have the updated version and i have to wait for the aurora updater to do something everytime i start a new session. i went through and disabled all plug-ins and have no extensions active and this doesn't solve the problem. according to plug-in check all plug-ins are up to date. aurora does crash every once in a while where it closes out all my windows...but i do not get the crash report anymore to report it. is there a problem with aurora? i even updated FF in case that had a factor in the crashes/freezes!! FF used to do this same thing all the timea fter a new update but this is ridiculous!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? typos courtesy of freezing!!!is there a problem with aurora? i can't go more than 2 minutes without constant freezing and the "not responding" message. i have run scans on my computer weekly since i updated to aurora and there is no threats/problems...why does this keep happening?
addendum...i have added the crash reports for the last week...does that give any insight into why this keeps happening?

i am not sure what this means? "not for public use"? i did not seek out another version of FF it was an option on mozilla's page when i needed to update FF!! i know that i will run into these problems if i do not keep current and it was an option so i chose it. are you suggesting that i dump aurora from my system and go back to using just FF? i'm not a developer or know anything deep regarding the physical or logical of systems...i am just trying to keep good maintenance on my system!! i need a browser that works with me and not against me...chrome does not do what i need...neither does opera...FF is the only browser that i have used for almost 4 years now and i don't plan on going back to IE or changing to those mentioned above...i just want to know that when i see new offerings on mozilla products and i accept them into my system that they work much better than what i am experiencing currently!! i get that it is open-sourced and therefore a work in progress

    Hi elisio,
The article linked below provides information about the plug-ins disabled alert message which you’re seeing when launching Mail since updating to OS X Yosemite. It also shows where the plug-ins are located.
OS X: Third-party plugins for Mail may no longer work after updating OS X
Third-party Mail plugins are normally stored in the following folders:
    ~/Library/Mail/Bundles
    /Library/Mail/Bundles

  • How do i disable the Check your plug ins page at start up?

at start up my homepage displays on one tab and a new tab that suggests to update plug ins displays from mozilla and shows some plug ins and if they are up to date or not, I wish to disable this page but don't see any options or any link to show how to disable it.

I think this will solve that problem with the Plugin Check page.
Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter. <br />
''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
Pref = '''plugins.update.notifyUser''' if it shows as True, double-click that pref to toggle it to '''False'''
''That pref was new to the Firefox 3.6 version and is present in later versions.''
