Restoring genuine key of OEM windows 7 for net book

I am using HP Pavilion dm1-3210au Entertainment Notebook PC . Some time back the hard disk got curropted, and new hard disk was installed. The person who installed hard disk also put windows home addition but it does not look genuine.
Query - Can I make the copy of installed windows genuine as the original OEM windows with laptop was also genuine. Please provide links to validate windows and softwares required to make old key work? Whom should I contact for the same, HP or Microsoft.
Important points: This machine is now out of warranty.
Being a netbook, there is no cd/dvd drive (No recovery disks were provided)
As the HDD has been replaced, no recovery partition either.

Look at the back of your laptop... copy the OEM key and active windows.

Depends on why you need to install Windows.
Not all Windows applications will work on Windows Vista.

From what most people have said, via Boot Camp, yes it works fine.
Via Parallels, you won't get the full Aero experience.

Boot Camp, no speed issues.
Parallels, as with any application can impact on running other applications.
1GB of RAM is sufficient, 2GB is recommended.

Remember running Windows XP means that you are just as susceptible to viruses, trojans, spyware etc... as if you had a Windows PC.
The question you have to ask first, is why do you need to install Windows.

Agreed. Cannot stop it by disabling the "Windows" key (from within Windows 7). Every time I Cmd-Tab to change apps, the Start Menu pops up,
and persists, overlaying other app windows. Much more than annoying.
Also, there is no Clipboard Sharing, apparently. Love typing in long binary strings into the Registry.

This being an OEM copy you cannot move this to another server. You can only do that with Volume Licensing of server.

How do I get my OEM windows product key that came with my laptop when I bought it? Lost info/discs

I needed to clean install my laptop with Win8.1 before I upgraded to Win10, i was told that the BIOS held the key so I wouldnt need it and I dont have the OEM windows product key sticker that came with it when I bought it and I cant activate!!? Help

what if my recovery partition is lost too? I hace an HP15 Notebook with windowa 8.1 and a "friend" deleted the recovery partition. Now I dont know what to do to reformat and recover my laptop to its original condition. Saddly i dont have the recovery dvds either.

Time to repair you library: do the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database.
3 - if necessary repeat with Option #1, Repair Permissions.

After entering my product key from my laptop with preinstaled windows, the site gives me this message:
"Unsupported Product
The product key you entered appears to be for software that was pre-installed on a device. Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options."
I have try to surch the hp support site to find any leagal OEM Windows, but nothing unfortunately.
Please can somebody help me with this issue?

Satellite L750-1WW - OEM Windows 7 home premium reinstall

a few days ago I bought an used (about 3 years old) Toshiba Satellite L750-1WW notebook.
The only matter with it is, that it has Windows 7 Professional, and of course corrupted, but the original OS was Home Premium. This laptop will be my mother's, and I don't want (and she also) to get messages every startup: "This copy of Windows is not genuine" and other stuff.
Another thing: there is no recovery partition! I couldn't make a simple system recovery...
However there's a Product key for Win7 HP 64bit on the bottom of the PC, it does not work on any kind of Windows 7 (Home Premium -Ultimate - Professinal, 32-64 bit), I have tried every possibilities.
I asked Microsoft Community to give me help about reinstalling the original operating system.
They told me to tell my problem to Toshiba, because only the manufacturer can reactivate the system, or reinstall the original OS.
So now, I ask You for some help.

I don't know where you have bought this notebook but I know, for instance, that many people who sold notebooks on the eBay write in description that notebook has preinstalled other Windows version but notebook has valid product key that can be used for any Windows activation.
Fact is that this information is wrong.
Every Toshiba notebook offered with preinstalled OS has Microsoft sticker at the bottom side but product key on it belongs to original version delivered with the notebook. With other words: this product key s useless.
If I understand you right you have non-activated OS version preinstalled on this machine but also you don't have original recovery installation disc.
Now you have two options:
1/ To order original recovery disc (link posted by Tonny)
2/ To install own OS version using Microsoft installation disc and pay for valid licence.
In my opinion option to buy recovery disc is best for you. Using this disc in 2 hours you will have perfectly installed OS that will be activated and you will not have any problems anymore.
After clean OS installation all you must do is to optimize it and configure for usage. Thats all.

If you have license for Windows 7 or you have downgrade option. You should do reinstall of Windows 7 and there is no direct downgrade option. It is possible to backup data and then restore files from user profile manually but there is
no direct downgrade option and you have to reinstall all programs.

Installing OEM Windows 8.1 on a new SSD

How do I install the OEM Windows 8.1 OS that shipped with my new desktop PC on a new SSD? I have created the HP recovery discs but I can not find instructions for using them to install Windows on a new drive. There are numerous posts about doing this on this forum but none with a consensus.It goes from 'it can't be done", "you need third party disc software" to "yes, it's easily done" followed by links to existing HP tutorials that don't actually address the procedure. Hi: See if this works... 1. You have to change two settings in the BIOS in order to boot from a DVD. See the info at the link below for what settings to change. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03659945 2. Put disk 1 in the dvd drive and restart the PC. Tap the esc key to get a menu options list. Select the F9 boot options menu from the list. Select the DVD drive and hit the enter key. Watch the screen for further instructions. Here are some problems that may occur based on specific circumstances... 1. If the SSD you bought is much smaller than the factory hard drive you removed, you may get an error that states in substance that the disks won't work on a smaller hard drive. 2. If you made any hardware changes to the PC such as changing the graphics card, the recovery disks may not work. This should not be applicable if you added memory or the fact that you just added a SSD (other than #1 above). If the recovery disks you made don't work, see if making a plain W8.1 installation disk by following the instructions from the link below allows you to install W8.1. IPhone 6Plus on every reboot after putting in my password it opens to a small window asking for apple id password

everything works on phone and wow it's big compared to my iPhone 5s. went with space grey since i have had 3 white phones in a row. restored via iCloud backup. updated iTunes as i have about 3,000 songs. 250 bought the rest ripped to AAC from my cc's....what a pain but switched from my windows desktop to this new rMBP late 2013 for xmas and iTunes is slightly different on a mac than windows and where everything is stored on drive.
anyhow problem is every time i reboot after putting in my password and arriving at whatever page i left at i get a very small window asking for my Apple id password. Now the top half is pre filled in with the email address i use for iCloud/itunes/apple/etc.
i did see in settings there is a checkmark i cannot remove that says for apple password "ask immediately" there are no other choices. it can't be unchecked by any method i found.
any help appreciated.

Multiple drag emails from Mail to a finder window and for it to name the files as the subject heading

I have been using Mac's now for about 10 years and this is my first problem.
I have recently moved into an office that use PC's with a Windows server.
I have set up the network to transfer files and view the windows server and it works fine.
I have a problem in that my colleagues on PC need to be able to view my emails which I send and receive using Mail. They therefore need to have logical title names and the date sent and ideally who to or from. I view them and archive them using Mail which is fine for me.
I understand about the archiving and copying of mailboxes but this gives every email the un-fathomable title name 9944847 etc.
I can get round the problem by dragging and dropping every email I send and receive individually and it will automatically give it a more logical title of the subject heading however the date is when it was dragged not when sent. This is a pain if I am away or forget to save an email for a day or two and then the date is inconsistent.
Is there a way to batch copy emails from Mail to a finder window and for it to name the files as the subject heading or to archive the files in a similar way so they retain the detailed information my colleagues require.
And no I can not get to all change to Mac and I don't really fancy using Outlook, Entourage or Parallels.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the text on the line below to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. If you get a warning that the file is in use when you try to empty the Trash, log out and log back in.
