You don't - AppleTV 3 store nothing.
Instead (assuming th efeature is available in your country), you download from the internet in iTunes.
Either on the iTunes store home page or in the Movies category you should find Purchased Quicklinks on the right side of the screen - redownload movies there. Set download quality in iTunes Preferences.

I am setting up my wife's mini. We backed up her iPad gen 3 to iCloud. When setting up mini from icloud it askes for passwords for iTunes accounts belonging to son and daughter. They used their accounts to load apps fr me on my iPad. I do not have their passwords. How do I suppress the accounts on iPad so it does not try to retstore the apps they bought for me. Thanks.

Your title and the text in the post say two different things.
Your title says you are restoring from an iCloud backup.
Your post says you are doing an "iCloud installation". Admittedly, I don't know exactly what that means.
Please describe the exact symptom(s) you are observing, and whether whatever activity that is under way is providing evidence of proceeding.

Transfering songs from Shuffle 3rd gen to new computer, old one crashed

I am not very tech savy.
I am trying to transfer my songs from my IPOD shuttle 3rd gen to my new computer.
The old computer crashed and is gone. New one is OS Windows 7. Old one was XP Professional (not sure if it matters). I keep charging the IPOD , but cannot add to the songs. How do I do it ? I tried downdloading programs, but just get confused.
Please help.

Transfer music from ipod 3rd gen to 4th gen

I just brought an IPod Touch 4th generation and wanted to transfer music from my IPod 3rd generation.

You need to transfer purchases from the 3G to you syncing computer and sync the 4G with that computer. If you want other stuff to transfer to the 4G, restore the 4G from the backup of the 3G.

Here's how I restored my mini from the dead (Win XP)

When I installed the 1.4 updater on my iPod, it erased everything on it. Here's what I did to fix it:
1) Uninstall the 1.4 software
2) Disconnect the iPod from the computer, but do so safely, even if you have to reboot the computer.
3) Reset your iPod. There are specific instructions on how to do this here(http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705). You may have to do this several times throughout the following process. You can only perform a reset when your iPod is disconnected from your computer or other power source.
4) Install the original software from the CD that came with your iPod. Follow the instructions to the letter. The software will format your iPod, but may come up with an error box explaining that it cannot complete the format. Click "OK" on the error box, then try the installation again. It should now say that the iPod has been formatted. Allow the installation to complete, then reboot. Leave your iPod connected to your computer during the reboot.
5) When you are rebooted, hit "CTRLALTDEL" to bring up the task manager. Under the processes tab, end the processes "iTouch", "iPodServices" and "iTuneshelper". These are programs that prevent the updater from "locking" the iPod.
6) Use the updater to restore your iPod to its factory settings. You may see several different error messages, including "Firmware update failure. Disk write error.", an error message telling you that the software you're trying to apply isn't the correct version for your iPod, and the "Can't lock iPod" one. Keep trying. You may need to reboot to safely disconnect your iPod from your computer in order to reset it. My advice is to perform this reset according to the directions, and to do it several times.
7) Once your iPod is restored, reboot to disconnect it safely. The iTunes software will not recognize it immediately because you have yet to set your language preference on your iPod. Reconnect it after you are rebooted and have started iTunes. There you will be able to restore your music.
It took me a long time, a lot of frustration, and pure dumb luck to get my iPod working again. I'm no genius. I just hope that these steps might help someone else in the same predicament.

Just one small point. That statement you made is incorrect. In fact in the instructions on how to reset your iPod clearly state that if you are having difficulty resetting you should connect to power, either the a/c charger or your computer.

IPod touch (3rd gen) won't Charge with iHome after iOS5

I use an iHome (iH8 model) to charge my 3rd generation iPod touch, but after I updated to iOS5 I got the message "This accessory does not support charging" the first time I tried to change on the iHome, and every time after that it doesn't even seem to think it is connected to anything and will not charge. It will charge fine on a USB cable connected to my computer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It would work from time to time and in the computer USB and wall charger it would work once then not for a few weeks. I just make sure my cover is not in the way of any of the cords and I have never had that problem again.

This problem with my iPod is that it just won't charge with the Apple cable to my mac. When I plug it into the wal charger from Apple it does charge, but on the USB is keeps saying that charging isn't supported with this accessory.
Please help, since I'll have to charge my iPod with the USB for the coming 5 months!

Quicktime Stutters - FlipHD 3rd Gen w/ Stabilization

So I have 2 FlipHD Camcorders. 2nd Gen = No Image Stabilization, 3rd Gen = Image Stabilization. Any Video I playback in Quicktime from the 3rd Gen Flip HD with Stabilization, Stutters on my new Late 2011 Macbook Pro. Plays perfect with VLC. Is there a known problem with Quicktime & Image Stabilization Camcorders? And it also plays back fine in iMovie.

A new feature of iTunes (6.0.2) allows you to convert your .mov files to the iPod settings.
This also works with older iPods but you must use some different settings in your iTunes preferences. One of the "Advanced" settings allows you to convert a .mov file to .mp3 (or AAC) format that should work on your older iPod.
Open iTunes and change your advanced settings to the format you want.
Drag the .mov file into your Library (a special playlist is better) and test to be sure it works.
Set your iTunes preferences for Import to the settings you wish to use (Advanced/Import Using:)
Highlight (single click) and choose "Convert" from the iTunes Advanced menu.
This should make a new file (Unknown Artist blah blah) in your iTunes library.

I know your question has been answered by Demo and agree. And I agree that I would stay away from the ipad 3 that was discontinued after only months on the market.
That said, I'm not sure where you were getting an ipad 3 for that cost - a friend, a store, an official reseller? I would be very careful of that.
If you decide to buy a used ipad or even a new 16 gb mini, I strongly suggest you only buy it through Apple's online only certified refurbished store. They come and go as they are refurbished by Apple, so if you see what you want, buy it. An ipad mini 32 gb is now $339 in the refurb store. That's only $20.00 more than you're willing to pay.
Personally, I'd go for the regular sized ipad with more space, but I would pay more if necessary and only buy it at the Apple online refurb store. If you buy an outside ipad, you usually only get the rest of the warranty if any time is still on it. Some resellers do not give any warranty. You might not know if it's been dropped and is working now but might quit soon, etc. You could end up with a demo version from a store, the battery could be on its way out, etc. There have been such stories on here.
Each refurbished ipad and mini comes with a brand new front and back cover, a brand new battery, and a full one year warranty , including 90 days of phone support. It will come in the white box with the charger just as a new one does, with free and fast shipping.
We have had two 64 gb refurbed ipad 2's from the Apple store for almost a year and a half. They have been great!

And you don't get 16gb or 32 gb, etc. Some space is used to run the ios and apps that come with the ipad that are not removable.

I followed this, 3 times, and each time, the folders restore, the data in things like email and contacts restore, but none of my apps restore.
It's an iPad mini cellular version, if that matters. I plug in my iPad 3, right click on the device and select Back up. When it's done, I reset my mini, erasing everything, then restore from backup. Apps don't back up.
Help?

Why can't i restore my new ipad-mini from my iphone?

I have so far spent 2 hours on the phone to Apple support trying to resolve this problem. I have backed up my iphone5 onto itunes and then tried to restore that backup onto my new ipad mini but it doesn't want to know. We tried uninsalling itunes and re-installing it to no avail.
I can restore a limited backup from icloud but it won't transfer any settings like my e-mail account details.

My Ipad 3rd gen kept shutting off and we would have to restart and log back on to internet with password. So backed up to icloud and did a restore. It could not complete the restore. No luck at Genius bar. Can trade for a new one for 299. any ideas to fix

Yet another quick follow up to something I have stumbled upon with this issue. If I connect to my Airport Extreme on the 5Ghz channel, Dictation continues to have issues. However, when I switched to the 2.4Ghz channel dictation has been working great now for a while.
The dictation option is still missing under General>Settings>Keyboard however.
Not sure at all what one would have to do with the other? but hey, if it's working then I'm going with it for now. :-)
