Restoring Issues After iOS 7.1 Release.

Hi,
I recently bought an iPhone 5s, just after the ios 7.1 release. It had ios 7.0.1 on it and I wanted to update to 7.0.6, but when I downloaded the firmware and started the restore. After a few seconds it showed up an error.
If I understand well Apple has stopped signing ios 7.0.6 restores or lower. But is there any possible way to update my phone to 7.0.6 without upgrading it to 7.1?

UPDATE - ... well, almost the same question. I cannot imagine why you would not want to update to iOS 7.1. I don't think there's a way to do what you want without updating.

That is a new "feature" described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and changing "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off

Does anyone solved wifi issue after ios 6 or 6.1.2 or 6.1.3?

My wifi works intermitently. sometimes it is grayed out, sometimes it is just searching network. I dont know how this issue has come? This all started after ios 6.1.2. and ios 6.1.3 didnt fix it for me. Have done all reset or restoration as a new device but with no success. I think apple is going to bite the dust very soon if this continues. Please note the router is woking fine coz i m running new ipad on ios 6.1.2 and there is no issue with wifi. Should i wait for ios next update or get the wifi module fix.? this is what i was told by one person who does all phone repair work.
Suggest something concrete. i am without wifi since last 1.5 months now. Apple is just ignoring the problem. does anybody solved this issue after multiple software updates ? The problem is my warranty is gone in January itself. and i have purchased this phone from USA and i live in india.

App did not Restore Data after iOS 4 update on 3G

One App - Magic Pad , a note App failed to restore all my notes after my G3 updated to iOS 4? None of the notes restored. These are mostly important Business / Technical notes and I need them badly, any suggestions are appreciated.

I was able to fix the issue. I had to manually put the phone in restore mode by holding the power button and the home button until the power turned off while the phone was still plugged into the computer, then when the phone turned off continue holding the home button until you hear the computer recognize the device. Then navigate to the back up folder that is described earlier and cut out all of the back up folders and paste them on your desktop. Then iTunes said that a device was recognized in restore mode or something like that and you click yes to restore. After this happen the iPhone will go through the processes of restoring the phone. When it finishes it will start like a brand new device and it will be updated to the OS4.0. You will then need to go through the tabs at the top of the iPhone sync window and re check all of the items that you want synced to your phone. The only data that was totally lost was my pictures, but after the iPhone finishes reloading, you may be able to go back to the desktop and cut the backup folders and paste them back into the backup folder and restore your phone from a previous back up and you may still be able to recover those photos. This worked for me so I hope it works for all of you as well. Thanks!

Pages having Korean font issues after iOS 7 update.

iWork on my ipad and iphone cannot handle Korean font after iOS 7 update. It displays Korean correctly in those documents I created before the recent iOS 7 update, but breaks down as soon as I try to edit them. Anyone has the same problem with international fonts? Is there anyway to fix the problem? Is it an iWork issue or the iOS 7 issue? It certainly does not look like a hardware issue, because other apps work fine indeed.

Camera issues after ios 5 update

my iphone 4 issues are as follow after ios 5 update:
camera sometimes takes low resolution photos (without zoom)
camera sometimes goes blank (blank screen)
can anyone help?

You probably haven't "lost" the zoom feature on your iPhone 4, you probably missed that you now activate it using the pinch to zoom rather than tapping on the screen...

Volume issues after ios 5.0.1 update

i recently updated from ios 5.0.1 to 5.1 and today i observed that the volume went low while listening to songs and i did a hard reset and now things have started to work fine.but what is the permanent solution for this?any one who is facing this issue?

While wifi connection is never good on ipad according to my experiecne, the situation is worsend after ios 5.0.1. It takes approximatley 2 to 3 minutes for me to connect to the home router, (it took 30 secs at most in the past). When I go out for outdoor wifi, the hotspots of some internet service providers can never be connected, the refreshing circles keeping spinning for 3 to 5 minutes and nothing happen.
The bottom line is, battery life seems to run longer than before, but I don't think it is an acceptable trade-off.

Restore issue after updating to IOS 8

I updated my ipad mini a few hours ago but following the IOS 8 install it will not restore from any back ups (most recent just before updating) at all and will not sync apps with itunes either, it just causes itunes (ver 11.40.18) to stop working and crash.
The only work around I could find was to restore then set up as a new ipad, but when doing so it would not set up via the itunes screen on the laptop and still wont sync apps without crashing itunes.
All was working 100% before the IOS 8 update.
Any ideas at all?

Oh dear. This doesn't bode well for many of us. I don't know if I even have a back-up to restore to if I go full factory restore. Hearing that you do have back-ups but can't use them is very worrying.
I wish Apple would hold off on the releases until such issues are sorted. They seem determined to make the previous version of their own technology incompatible with the latest stuff.

IPad2 Issues after iOS 8.1 update

iPad2 64g wifi + cellular -   very slow and non-responsive since iOS 8.1 update. nonstandard Apps seem to be working fine.. it’s the standard item like photos and safari that don't respond.
photos - (which I use daily to show clients examples) will freeze and kick me out back to the home page when trying to do anything from open a photo for viewing to trying to delete a photo. Edit.. forget it.   better off using an alternate app to edit a photo as it locks up and crashes every time.   I really need to be able to view the photos on my iPad2

Overall - the touch screen is glitchy since the iOS 8.1 update. It was slow after the iOS 8.0 update but has become almost unusable after the 8.1 update.
I cannot afford to purchase a new iPad. And I really need to find a way to make this one work.
I did read about how to restore to an older iOS version.   The only problems are all of my laptop is Windows based and the instructions assumed you had a Mac.   I did a backup to iTunes prior to the 8.0 update but I have also done backups since.   So I am not sure I have a “clean” iOS 7 backup.
Any ideas would be appreciated   Thank you in advance for your help

For the touch issues in Safari, does scrolling or zooming the page before you try to tap a link make it work again? I've read a few posts that this may be a workaround for that issue.

Issues after IOS 8.0.2 Update.

copy and pasting is difficult or impossible. Hyperlinks take 2-3 clicks to load. Tabs refresh too often to make working in tabs reasonably useful at all. Typing has lag between what i type and appearing on the screen.

To troubleshoot this issue where you are unable to load pages, and seem to not have a connection over the cellular network, please follow the steps below.
Follow these steps for help with cellular data issues on your iPhone. After performing each step, test to see if your iPhone still has the issue.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings, turn airplane mode on, wait three seconds, and then turn off again.
Restart your iPhone.
Make sure that your software is up to date:
Check for a Carrier Settings Update: Tap Settings > General > About.
Check for an iOS Software Update: Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
Remove the SIM Card and reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.
If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try turning it off: Tap Settings > Phone > SIM PIN.
Try another location. If a different location works, but the original location still doesn't, contact your carrier to report the issue.
Reset network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Resetting network settings on your device will erase all current saved settings, including Wi-Fi passwords, preferred networks, and VPN settings.
Restore the iPhone as new.
Contact your carrier to:
Verify that the iPhone is properly set up on the account with the appropriate, current data plan.
Verify that there are no account-related blocks.

Airplay issues after IOS 8 upgrade

After the latest IOS 8 upgrade I have a lot of issues.
Both my ipad and iphone are upgraded to IOS8 and after that I can't stream video to my apple tv, you can see that airplay is tries to connect to my apple tv but returns to the ipad/iphone screen after ~5 seconds. Besides of that both devices also have streaming difficulties to my B&W a7 speaker, problem with this one is that it will stop after 15 minutes and to get is working I have to restart the device.
With IOS 7 I didn't have problems at all.
Do others also have this many problems and what can I do about it?
I already tried:
- Restart ipad/iphone
- Closed all active programs via the home button
- Power cycled apple tv / remote speaker
- Reset ipad/iphone (power + home button)
- Re-install all related apps (remote, B&W, video streaming apps)
- Reconnected to my home network
Since I didn't have a problem before the upgrade and this occured on 2 devices after the IOS 8 upgrade, I would say this must be related to the upgrade.
Hope someone can give me an advice.

I was able to recover my voice memos, though the original titles are gone.
I opened my Voice Memos app like everyone else and I saw each memo quickly deleting and acting glitchy. I then connected my iPhone to my macbook so I could attempt to restore the backup I had made before the ios8 update. It said it couldn't be done because there wasn't enough room. However, when I opened my memos app again, the voice recordings were there! I can't verify if it's all of them but I'm grateful I was able to recover some.
I use this app to record lyrics on the go and I'd really like Apple to step up and fix this.

Battery issue after iOS upgrade to 4.1

I have upgraded my iOS to release 4.1. After that my battery will be empty within a 4 or 5 hours. before the upgrade the battery works more than a day.
Another issue is to delete emails. If I delete some mails and wait a few seconds the mail will be received again. This happens with my Mobile Me account AND for my exchange account. Before the upgrade was made all works properly.
I have tried to reset the iPhone to factory settings and make a new configuration manually but the result is still the same.
Anyone has an idea what kind of issue I have?

Iphone 5s touchscreen issue after IOS 8.0.2

Hi All,
I've been having an iPhone 5s for a year and ever since i've updated to IOS 8.0.2. My iPhone touch screen has became unresponsive. It happens after i unlock my phone and it just gets unresponsive. It could happen after a few seconds of usage of any app or just messaging. It has become really frustrating. The only way I could get it back on working was to lock and unlock my phone.
I've tried restarting my iPhone, and ask restoring my phone with a new Set up. But the same issue arises.
The only thing i have not tried was to check if there was some connectivity issue inside the phone. My warranty was over end of september and I do not wish to pay for a replacement fee as It be a better option to get a new one.
My phone specs:
Iphone 5s 64GB Silver.
IOS 8.0.2
Memory Used35.3 GB

I Hope there's an fix for this. And hopefully it's the software problems.

Sounds issues after iOS 5 update

I have been having sound issues with my apps since iOS 5 update. Anyone having similar problems? I have rebooted. It is the 4S. And yes, the volume is on.
