Restoring messages from cloud to phone.

Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, I'm trying to restore my messages from the Verizon Cloud. I have 1298 messages backed up. When I go through the steps to restore it says that restore is complete right after pushing restore, but the messages are not restored in Messages. Are they being download elsewhere on the phone and I have to import them? Please let me know how I can restore the messages back to my phone.
Thanks,
Gregg

    gpeterden,
We're happy to assist in restoring your messages.  I'm glad to hear that it is showing 1298 to be backed up right now.  Just to be clear are you using these steps when attempting the restore; http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-105905/.
If so, I would start by uninstalling and reinstalling the application and testing next. Thanks

    No.
    Sorry.
You should be importing photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

Why can't I receive messages from a Droid phone on my IPad?..

SMS is part of cellular voice communication.
iPads do not do voice over cellular.
    iMessage is Apple devices only.
If you want to send and  receive SMS you will have to download an app from the store, such as text+.

How can I restore my ringtones from my old phone to my new phone? I know I've done it before, but I can't figure it out.
    Thanks!
    Lynn

If you purchased them from Verizon, you MAY be able to recover them by logging in to your account and checking under MyMedia to see if it's available. You may need to repurchase, since in most cases, ring tones are purchased for the specific device and do not transfer to a new device.
You can also use a service like Phonezoo to get ringtones; it keeps track of all your downloaded ringtones and wallpapers and you can get them again for a new device - and it's all free.

  • Restoring Messages from 6085 to N73

I have upgraded my 6085 to N73 recently. I am not able to restore the messages from 6085 Backup file to N73. The required Messages in 6085 are in folder "Saved Items" but the name of the similar folder in N73 is "My Folders". Pls provide me a solution how to import all Messages in 6085 to N73. Thanks in Advance.

Try those methods, even though they didn't work for me but they might work for you.
    Good luck!

  • Removed account - cannot restore messages from Time Machine

    Hello everyone,
I'm using Mail 4.4 on Mac OS 10.6.6. I removed a Mail account today, knowing I could recover all my received messages from the server, but failing to realize that the sent messages were not on the server. On the road, I didn't panic, as I've been using Time Machine for well over a year, and knew all would be well upon my return home.
I returned home, plugged in my Time Machine Backups disk, and Time Machine ran. I then attempted to restore the lost messages, only to find that, in quite Orwellian fashion, Time Machine had retroactively altered all my old Mail folders and had erased any trace (at least as far as I can tell) of the existence of the old account. I cannot find those lost message anywhere, in any backup of Mail, going all the way back.
I've been looking in ~/Library/Mail. Should I be looking elsewhere? I don't think so, because all my current accounts are listed there...along with a new account that I didn't create until today! How could a new account have existed months ago? Answer: It didn't. Something very creepy is going on here.
    Can anyone help???
    Thank you
    Jason

Perhaps it was my late-night, jet-lagged delirium, but for whatever reason, I was able to restore the messages today using the application-specific Time Machine recover tool: made Mail the current application, then ran Time Machine. The messages were there, just as they should have been. (I swear they weren't there last night...)
My apologies if any of you spent any time on this.
    Best,
    Jason

  • Why do text messages from one att phone come in garbled like %^&KYY

my girlfriend has a blackberry storm 9550.
all works well with only one exception.
when her sister, who has an ATT phone, sends her text messages they appear to be all scrambled.
no other messages from anybody else ever comes in like that....any ideas why this happens?
this is driving both of them crazy and we dont know how to fix the problem.
    thanks
    Rock

Also ask her if she's trying to use any strange characters in the message. Generally, that's a problem the other way (iPhone emoji often show up as gibberish or cause complete message corruption on non-iphones) but, it's worth a question.
    Best of luck.

  • How do you send text messages from mac to phones on yosemite?

Just downloaded the new Yosemite and trying to send text messages from my mac to non iPhone users, how do you do this new feature?

I think you need to wait on this for iOS 8.1.  Apple Messaging works now, but via SMS you need your phone linked.

HOW CAN I BLOCK SMS MESAGES FROM AN SPECIFIC PHONE NUMBER ON MY I PHONE5, THANKS

You can't. Contact your carrier and ask them if they provide such a service. Most carriers do not, unless the text messages are threatening or harassing, but you can ask.
    Regards.

  • How do I redo a restore of my text messages from cloud onto my replacement phone - after it timed out halfway t

I started the original restore using my wifi .... and it got less than halfway through.  Some of the saved text messages came through - most did not.  Not sure how to restart that restore

    I have the same issue.
I've tried over a dozen times now, and it never gets past about 32% before it thinks it's completed the restore job, so most of my messages are missing.
How do I fix this, other than just keep trying?
I am restoring from an S3 to an S5
