Restoring my Iphone (download crashes)
I've been trying to restore my Iphone to factory default. It starts downloading the latest software, but it keeps crashing the download. The download doesn't seem to be able to resume after a crash so I have to start over again. Only it crashes again next time. Is there a way to download the file manually and then restore from it? I could at least then use a piece of resumable downloading software.
It wasn't really answered but my download did eventually finish after quite a few tries.

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

My iphone 4s crashes too much when i download and app from store and open it its freeze or crash and restart the phone i think i am having big problem with this device i restored it to factory settings and no waay!
I think many of us need a Defense Against the Podcasts App professor.

My iPhone 4 crashes very often (3-4 times per day) and sometimes (2-3 times per month) all my apps disappear and I have to restore them with iTunes. I downloaded all the system updatings and I also tried to restore my device, but I still have this issue
If you haven't already, try restoring your iPhone as a new device, not from a backup, and with only the apps Apple includes. Then see if the problems persist. It's possible that a corrupted file on the iPhone is causing the problems, and that could perhaps be coming back onto the iPhone if you're restoring using a backup. Problems with an app could also be causing problems. If the problems persist after restoring the iPhone as "new", then you almost certainly have a defective iPhone and will need to contact Apple for servicing.
If the problems go away after restoring the iPhone as "new", then you can start putting your other apps back on and see if the problems reappear; if they do, you probably have a badly-coded app.

IPhone 4 crashes while restoring in DFU?
My phone is in DFU mode.. and I cant restore or do anything now.. It keep crashing and doing the same thing. Exact steps I did:
-Plug it in
-open itunes
-click restore
-it loads about halfway
-then blue screen...
-loading is stuck
-hard reset
-i get itunes error 9
REPEAT
Before this, it was vibrating non-stop so i couldn't even do a hard reset.. Had to wait for it to drain the battery..
Before that.. Sometimes it would crash nonstop while charging until its removed.According to this Apple support document, http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694 the error 9 has to do with USB issues. I would wonder if you are getting a good download of iOS to do your restore. Issues like you describe sound like there are other issues going on with the iPhone, especially the non-stop vibration. When you restored the iPhone, did you restore from a backup, or as a new phone? I would try as a new phone and see if that helps. How old is the iPhone and is it still in warranty? You might want to have it checked at the Genius Bar.

My iPhone 3GS crashed and now only displays the usb to iTunes screen. I came to connect it to iTunes. My computer is currently unable to connect to the internet for unknown reasons. When I plugged my iPhone into my computer, iTunes displayed an error message saying “The iphone software update server could not be contacted”.
I assume I need to download and update the IOS on my phone, for which I need an internet connection. I have a laptop with internet connection. If I connect my iPhone to iTunes on my laptop, (a different itunes library) then will it result in the loss of my photos, videos, contacts and messages as there will be no back up to restore from?
Is there a way I can transfer the back up from my PC to my laptop, so that when I connect my iPhone it is restored to the state of the last back up and I don’t lose photos/videos/contacts/messages?
Any other solutions?
ThanksPDF documents are not "in a Adobe reader app"; they are just files stored on your device. You can transfer them as you would any other files.
If the device is still active, you could upload them to https://cloud.acrobat.com/ to share with other devices, but if it's deactivated you will probably need a cable or similar connection. -

It's a connection timeout error. Google for a copy of iOS 5.0.1 and download it to your computer. Prepare to restore your iPhone but hold down Option (Mac) or Shift (Windows) when clicking Restore to bring up an explorer where you can manually install iOS 5.0.1 on your device, since you do not require a full download from the Apple Servers other than to verify your iOS build being installed.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Restart the device.
Restore as New.
Might also be a good idea to contact the carrier just to verify there are no account issues. -
My iphone showed an app it recommended I download to update my phone, which I did.
My phone then switched off and showed a picture asking me to plug into Itunes, which I did. It then directed me to update my phone which took over 2 hours.
My phone still shows the diagram asking me to plug into itunes and it won't work! I have tried switching it off holding both the top and bottom buttons however the same picture remains and my phone is inoperable.
The error message on Itunes came up as error 3194 and guided me to this site.
I'd really appreciate any help in getting my phone working is anyone has experienced this before?

I have been having an issue with iTunes match pushing song titles to my iPhone and iPad but am not able to play the music on my iPhone. All that I get are greyed out song titles. Thinking restoring my iPhone would help, I proceeded with the restore but after it downloaded I got an error message that my firmware was the incorrect version for the software and ended without allowing me the option to update the firmware. How do I do the update? Could this explain the issue with iTunes Match?

My iPhone has crashed during a sync and now I can't restore from backup as it is asking for password to load the backup yet neither the lock code for the phone or my iTunes Password are working... I have no other password to call upon and need the restore to retrieve info onto my phone, I am a real novice to this...... please help, !!!!
If anyone else is looking for a solution to this same problem, I was able to get it working looking through several older discussions.
The solution was to use the password that I had on my iTunes account the very first time I set up the iPhone about a year ago. I changed my iTunes password about 10 months ago; but apparently, the backups continue to use the password that existed when the phone was first set up.
A couple of troubling things with this are that 1) I didn't apply a password when I did the backup this afternoon so I don't understand why it was required when I did the restore a few hours later. and 2) it makes zero sense why iTunes would not be smart enough to use the current accout password when requiring the password to restore from a backup made with no password.
I thought iTunes and Apple were smarter than that. With so many posts stating exactly the same problem, it is clear that this is bug in the software.

I cannot restore my iphone 5 software. It has downloaded but when I try to restore to iphone it say an 'unknown ' error has occurred and it wont restore.
